What a fabulous place to stay! We had the most relaxing holiday and there is so much to do at the house. The pool was exceptional as was the sauna. There is table football and a full sized snooker table which we enjoyed in the evenings after dinner.
It was like having a fabulous hotel all to ourselves. The location is very quiet but close enough to town to just have a short drive for dinner.
Would definitely recommend!

Lovely big house for 25 of us. The dining room was perfect. Plenty of utensils and amenities in the kitchen area. All rooms and bathrooms were clean. Snooker room a hit. Swimming pool was fabulous. Kids had so much fun (so did adults ). Views and gardens lovely. Would recommend.

The accommodation was perfect for a large family of various ages. Every amenity you could think of was available and countryside was beautiful.

We loved this rambling house set within beautiful gardens and all had a very happy and relaxed stay. Despite being a large group (25 at times) there was a great feeling of space and a quiet spot could always be found for reading or a quiet catch up. The grandchildren loved the pool and spent hours there each day. Older family members enjoyed evenings playing snooker. All spent much time in the garden - from breakfast in the sunshine through to wine in the evenings. A memorable stay and enjoyed by everyone - from 7 to 80!

We all had a great long weekend celebrating a special birthday. There was plenty of space and different things to do to keep everyone happy.
I would definitely recommend Oakhampton Park for a large gathering.

Booked the big house at Oakhampton park for our 50th wedding anniversary with the family, needed one big enough for 21 guests and it didn’t disappoint, bedroom’s a good size, plenty to do, seating in the garden for outdoor bbq and drinking, large pool which we all spent a lot of time in. We all had a great time, Jim (owner) was very helpful.

We are so thrilled with our stay at Oakhampton Park and look forward to returning. The setting is idyllic, the house is spacious, pool is lovely and perfect for little ones, and the croquet lawn got more use than we imagined. We will remember this happy week for years to come.

Needs updating. Kitchen, carpets could do with a refresh!!

Mums 60th birthday
The facilities were excellent, we loved the swimming pool and gardens. We were celebrating my mums birthday with our entire family and found the property to be spacious enough for all of us (25+ people). The house was a great place to celebrate, listen to music, eat, drink etc and we all had a great time.
Jim was accommodating and easy to communicate with. At the end of our stay we all wished we’d stayed for a few more nights.

Beautiful property
We he such a wonderful stay, it’s a beautiful house and layout with lots of sociable rooms to be able to all get together in.
The gardens were so lovely, we were fortunate with the weather and it literally felt like we were not in the UK sitting by the pool.

Weekend away
We booked a weekend break - a large group of 23 including children. The property is nice and rural, the nearest village about 5 minutes drive away. The grounds are great, the kids enjoyed exploring and playing sports on the lawns. The biggest hit though was the indoor pool, which we struggled to get them out of ! A fantastic size for 11 children to swim in.
The facilities of the house are OK, a little bit dated but there was plenty of crockery, glasses etc for a large group.
The configuration of the bedrooms was fine for a group of adults and children.
In summary, we enjoyed our time at the house, and made lots of good memories for everyone to take home.

My daughters hen weekend
Sitting in the gardens enjoying a glass of wine. Swimming in the pool and having a splash around with our friends,getting together for a group meal what a wonderful place it was our only complaint we wanted to stay longer.

Family break over week-long half-term holiday
Excellent location. Beautiful house & grounds. Excellent swimming pool. Unfortunately, no sauna (as advertised) - broken down, awaiting part apparently. Poor gym equipment - no working controls on either cross-trainer or cycle, & some other equipment rather 'tired'.

Fabulous Country Weekend with Friends
Jim’s property was the perfect country escape - the house is spacious, with great character and made it very easy to entertain a large group!
Jim was incredibly helpful, giving us tips on local chefs and activities. Highly recommend doing clay pigeon shooting while you’re here!
Check in and out was easy, and Jim was always accessible via phone and the VRBO app.
Only thing to note is it is BYO towels - Jim reminded us before we came down! Overall, highly recommend this property!

Excellent location - home from home experience
This property has everything you need and more - clearly a lot of thought has been put into this holiday home - the owner was only too helpful with any questions etc and was always there when needed - the pool sauna and gym room kept our teens occupied- Brilliant all round home from our 10 month old to Grandparents in their 80’s

Mums 80th Birthday
We had the most amazing time in this beautiful house !!! There was something and somewhere for everyone our family aged from 85-20 …. 3 generations all together making wonderful memories …
For us it was home from home with such an easy chilled out atmosphere pulse definitely recommend it !!!!

Beautiful house and grounds. Everything catered for. Lovely surroundings, but no real need to leave the property. Ages from 4 to 99 all thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Lovely week at Oakhampton Park
We had a lovely week together (18 adults, children and babies) at Oakhampton Park. It was such a treat to spend time with everyone and for the children to catch up with their cousins after over a year apart due to Covid. The pool is amazing!
A plan of the house would be helpful to help plan for who sleeps where! It's so big, with different staircases and bedrooms in different locations that it was a bit tricky to work out who should go where to be close to their children. Also, we hadn't appreciated that two of the bedrooms were separate and outside - this wasn't an issue for us but do think it would be helpful if that was clearer on the details.

Perfect for family celebration
Delightful, a very happy week at Oakhampton House. Jim was always able to help with small problems, made us feel very welcome. The house is ideally laid out for our children and their family groups, giving each family their own space and facilities. Garden is breathtaking, pool is as good as you'll find in any such property.

Fabulous family home
Fabulous property full of character. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. The facilities meant that rainy days were still fun esp the indoor heated swimming pool. The house is very well equipped. I highly recommend contacting Bird HIlls Days for a fun lesson in clay pigeon shooting.

Birthday celebration
We had a fabulous weekend celebrating many special birthdays. The gardens are amazing and the activities provided such as snooker, swimming pool, sauna and table tennis kept us all entertained. We would definitely return.

Summer bash!
Wonderful spacious property providing an excellent base to celebrate my retirement. Children had a great time exploring the many rooms and the swimming pool was a key feature for all age groups. We had an amazing week and would love to do it all again!

Christmas period
We stayed at Oakhampton Park for 4 days over the Christmas period with 25 family members, the age range was from 5 years to 80!
The swimming pool and sauna area are superb and enjoyed by children and adults alike.
The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of cutlery, crockery, fridge and freezer space. The lounges are spacious and comfortable and a large dining room with seating for 26 people.
We enjoyed some lovely walks in the surrounding area and would love to visit the house again in the future.

Fabulous family weekend!
What a perfect venue for celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary with our family! 12 adults, 6 kiddies and 3 dogs all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What a beautiful house in a glorious country setting. The swimming pool was fantastic... A highlight for all! We would thoroughly recommend Oakhampton Park... brilliant weekend!

Fabulous Family Weekend
Lovely weekend spent here with 21 family members. Plenty of space to not be on top of one another. The pool area is fabulous as are the gardens. We had a good weekend with the weather so made the most of the grounds with a game of clay pigeon shooting. Everyone had great fun and it broke the day up perfectly. There really is something for everyone here, if you want to relax there are lots of little nooks to go off to. Lovely weekend, would definitely go back.

Family holiday, age range 7yrs to 70+yrs. Ideal for walks around Exmoor. House was great, gardens lovely. Excellent swimming pool, well used by all. Overall a really nice holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed by all.

Family Gathering
Oakhampton Park was a fantastic place for our family of 28, including 14 grandchildren, to spend a week. The property was everything we could have wanted. The children particularly enjoyed the swimming pool which was lovely (the water was just the right temperature). The gardens were also greatly appreciated and beautifully kept. All in all, a superb location for large family reunion.

We had a fantastic time, the location is wonderful as are the facilities. Jim is a great host and was very helpful, we would certainly return. If you are looking for a beautiful location to spend time with your friends and family, l would highly recommend this venue.

Warm, welcoming home that’s larger than the photos give credit. The owner, Jim was very helpful. There was space for all the family to come together and also have their own space for quite time whenever they fancied. The pool was an amazing success and the surrounding countryside was stunning. We went away over 30 adults and children to celabrate my mothers 80th birthday . The placed worked so well , accommodating us all . Swimming pool a great bonus . We would love to go back
