We were in the area to attend a wedding, I needed somewhere for the grandparents to stay. It was close enough to be incredibly convenient, and far enough away so that the late night celebrations didn’t keep the grandparents up. Love the accommodations!

A beautiful cabin tucked away in the mountains with no one around for miles (or at least it felt that way), this was the perfect home base for our adventures. Coffee on the porch or deck in the morning, s’mores around the fire pit at night, it was wonderful. My only suggestion would be to add a toaster to the kitchen and a few more towels to the linen supply but other than that no complaints just fantastic memories of our time there. Would definitely stay again!

We very much enjoyed our time here! Such a quiet place with spectacular views of the stars at night. Mike & Kaci were easy to work with and very responsive to questions.

Definitely recommend this place. The fire pit is amazing and plenty of wood was provided. The beds are very comfy and the open kitchen and wood accents are very cool.

Super clean and comfortable cottage located in a great location to enjoy the sights in this corner of NC. Well equipped and very well maintained we loved our stay at this cottage.

We loved this cabin! The decor inside was absolutely beautiful and I cannot tell you how immaculate this place is kept! The beds are very comfortable and there are plenty of towels and plenty of all other neccessities. I will definitely stay in this cabin every time I am in the area. It was so peaceful and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. I can't wait to stay here again!!

This was our first time in NC. Loved this area. Very mountainous, winding roads, and seclusion. A lot of beautiful scenery, hiking, fishing, etc. Would definitely return in the future. We explored from Brevard to Highlands. We even ventured to Bryson City and took a trip on the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad.

We had a great time exploring the area and resting at your beautiful and peaceful home. The fire pit was so fun and the kids enjoyed walking around all the little garden areas. Grateful for cleanliness and details for comfortable stay. Thank you!

This is a clean and quiet property 30 minutes away from Cashiers and Brevard. We explored Gorges State Park, which is close by. Highly recommend a trip to Rainbow Falls if you stay here!

Simply one of the best get-a-way experiences that we have had. Was able to actually relax and enjoy the time away. I love to cook, and everything was available at the cabin to accommodate this activity. An occasional wild turkey would hobble by. Once the electricity failed and a back-up generator started up. Did not know one was on sight. This was a welcome surprise. Needless to say, looking forward to the next time. Thanks so much for sharing your home with us. Martha and Ken

My husband and I loved staying in this beautiful home! The wood work is a great touch to the cozy home. The homeowners were great and very prompt at responding to any questions about the property. It was so quiet and very secluded.

First class

The cabin was as advertised, though it took a while to find the second bathroom which is downstairs via outside access. We had all the basics we needed in the kitchen, bedrooms and baths. It’s a beautifully redone place with quaint accents visible in the photos. They had it nicely decorated for the holidays too, which was a nice bonus since this is our annual outing to get a Christmas tree. We did day trips to Whitewater Falls, Gorges State Park and the top of Toxaway falls, all within 30 minutes of the place. Communications from the owners was sufficient and the Wi-Fi worked well (mapped at 10mbps). Note: AT&T mobile service does not work here or on the road between here and Lake Toxaway, so download the region on google maps before coming up and mapping will still work in the area, or bring printed maps or directions.

Cold or not, we did grill a steak on the gas grill. :)The house is well kept and the property manager made us feel welcome. We had no issues, so we didn't need her assistance while we were there, but we had her contact info, just in case.We would recommend this cabin, especially if you want to be alone. It's just a little bit of a winding drive to get to it. But, hey, it's the mountains!

Loved this cabin! Clean, well organized and lots of extra touches that made our stay comfortable and wonderful.

We loved this cabin. We went on a Girls Trip here and had the best time. It was clean and had wonderful personal touches. There was plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen, towels and other essentials. Everyone was comfortable and had the space they needed. We had a great tome sitting around the fire pit or chatting in the screened porch. We hope to be back one day!

This cabin was exactly what we wanted. It was private and beautiful. We really loved all the attention to detail, the wood accents and craftsman style throughout the cabin, and all of the little things that made it unique: the fire pit, the pond, little houses on the property, decor, the screened-in porch. It was beautiful and we will definitely be coming back! Thanks Kaci and Mike for having us!

This house was the perfect quiet home base for our family while we were in the area to spend time with extended family staying on Lake Toxaway. All looked exactly as it did in the photos. The home is very clean with plentiful towels and linens. The kitchen was well equipped, and there were freshly cut flowers by the sink- always such a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, and the area just so quiet and peaceful that we all slept wonderfully after each of our busy days. While we ended up spending the majority of our time at the lake, the owners provided lots of information on activities in the area, so we plan to go back to take advantage of all the other things there are to offer! We’d definitely recommend this home to other families or couples/ groups of friends looking for a nice mountain retreat!

House was very clean, owner was very responsive to e-mails, provided suggestions on things to do in the area, supplies such as paper towels, shampoo, conditioner and dish soap were provided in the house. My kids loved the koi pond! It was a nice, quiet getaway!
