This was a perfect place for 2 families to take some time off and get off the screens and outside. We used the firepit near the waterfall in the evening to warm up from wading in the water from the beautiful waterfall and to make s’mores. Played some of the provided games on the back patio. Plenty of room for all of us. Our only down side was that the hot tub quit. It was a control board issue. They sent out a tech and did what they could, but it wasn’t fixable. The company was great and helped us out with no issue since we couldn’t use it. I would stay here again, or another property that they have.

Golden! We absolutely love love this peace of paradise! If you want to disconnect from the daily routine this is the place. We really enjoyed our family time together here for my 50th birthday! This place is everything and more given in the details. Closest store is 30 minutes away! Take everything you need with you because you will not want to leave! Thank you to whomever built this place of peace and Godliness... We cannot wait to spend quality family time here again!

Our group had a great time. All bedrooms had bathrooms. Kitchen was well stocked with tools needed to make meals. Private. But...nothing beats that wonderful waterfall! We came away with great memories!

Celebrated my husband’s 60th birthday, it was wonderful

The house and property were great! Pictures don't do the waterfall justice...it was amazing. The house was clean, well kept, roomy and had a great layout...perfect for a family Thanksgiving!

This is the third year we have come to Havilah Falls. One of our group even came back for a visit this past summer and has already booked for next summer. However we did have two concerns this year. The hot tub jets did not work properly. We couldn't get the jets on both sides to work. Also the grill had no propane. We always grill out one night so were disappointed when we couldn't. We hope to return next fall, but want to make sure we can use the grill and the hot tub will work properly. Thanks.

Our group of close friends had a great time. The cabin was awesome! and having your own private waterfall was beyond cool! The location of the cabin was close enough to hike and chase waterfalls. I would definitely recommend a day trip and hike to Rainbow Falls/ Turtleback Falls in Gorges Stae Park. The fall color was at peak and beautiful.

Its EXTREMELY rare to find a location this private and secluded with it's own waterfall. While the mornings can be chilly on the back deck, sitting back there with coffee, reading and listening to the waterfall were like a dream. Don't go here if you're wanting to "do stuff". The drive to town takes forever with the switchbacks down the mountain, but that's not why you stay in these types of places anyway. Load up on supplies and groceries for your entire stay and hide the car keys. The place is very CLEAN and has just about every kitchen item you'd need. If you're a photographer, this place is for YOU! The only complaints were a leaky shower head in the master bathroom, stained comforters and an odd intermittent buzzing noise when the upstairs cooling units were in use. Google Maps took us right to the place. Other than that...enjoy getting away from life for awhile!

The location was isolated, peaceful and relaxing. The waterfall is even more beautiful than the photos. Home was comfortable and perfect for our family. I few small cleanliness issues that were addressed with the management company.

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this house! The waterfall that's on the property was simply amazing, and pictures just don't do it justice. The waterfall is quite a bit taller than we were expecting, and you can spend hours exploring/hiking around the waterfall. We loved opening up the doors with the screen doors shut, and you can listen to the waterfall from almost anywhere in the house. The house itself is well appointed, and it feels like it's only a few years old. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for our group. There's lots of parking available, and even though the house is quite isolated, we didn't have any trouble finding it. There's a couple of maintenance items (door knobs and a ceiling fan) that I mentioned to the rental company that need to be addressed. However, they were just minor upkeep items that they'll address quickly I'm sure. This house is truly a unique property, and we would definitely come back and rent this property again!

We just finished a wonderful august visit. The house is more attractive than advertised. The waterfall is amazing and the downstream area is great for kid play. There is a fair amount of driving to get to major trailheads (cold water and salt rock) but that’s true of most places. There was probably more to explore around the property but we ran out of time. WiFi is slow, tv downloads don’t really work, but that’s ok. Kids will be worn out from play and screens are forgotten. They have dvds (we left a few good ones) but maybe bring your own DVD player if you’re determined to watch movies at night.

This was the cleanest cabin we have ever rented, and I am very picky. The views are priceless!

Great home lots of fun in the waterfall/creek

Our two families meet every summer for a week. (Michigan and Texas). This property was one of our favorites from the last 15+ years. Our kids basically stayed in the river and waterfall for 5 days! Exactly what our hearts needed. Thank you!

Our visit to Havilah Falls was the best family vacation we have ever had. Children ages 4-14, adults in their 30's and grandparents in their 60's ALL found amazing things to do in a beautiful, serene setting . We played in,around, and on top of the falls, we took walks to the meadow at night to find firefly's and found bright orange eastern newts. To relax, we played board games on the huge outdoor table and soaked in the hot tub. The house was very clean and spacious. Each family had their own room and bathroom. The kitchen was large and well equipped. The only recommendation I would make is to make sure you arrive in the day time. The driveway was not easy to spot. We put reflective triangles at the entrance during our stay to help identify it. This was my 4th visit to this property and we have already booked it for next year. Memories were made and we can't wait to return.

The pictures cannot do this place justice. The cabin is beautiful, clean and stunning. The waterfall just makes this place unreal. It is beyond gorgeous. And the sound of the water can be heard within the cabin and it is so calming. The cabin had everything we needed. We picked up all of our groceries in Brevard and were so that we planned ahead! The beds were so comfortable. And the bedding! Perfect for a cabin! I wish I would have looked at the brand of bedspread. We enjoyed horseback riding close by, canoeing and paddle boarding on the lake that was 5 minutes away. We also enjoyed hiking in Gorges State Park. Our only regret was not staying longer! Wonderful cabin. Three generations together and everyone had a great time. Best equipped kitchen I've ever encountered in a vacation rental. The pictures cannot capture the property at all. The water fall was mesmerizing from the deck or fire pit area or just sitting inside. The common areas were spacious and comfy. The bedrooms perfect size; each with their own bathroom. The hot tub was such a bonus after a hike. The open kitchen made family food prep easy and fun. Did I mention the waterfall was AMAZING. Everyone from our two year old granddaughter to 79 year old grandpa wants to come back as soon as possible. Management Response: Thank you for your feedback! We spent the week of Thanksgiving at Havilah Falls. The waterfall in the backyard, what more could you ask for? The cabin is clean. The beds are great. Did I mention the waterfall? Do know that this cabin is remote, very remote. There is no cell signal, period. The Wi-Fi is below average. If you want to be isolated, this is the place for you. If you need to work some while on vacation, look elsewhere. But you really cannot ask for a better cabin, a better set up, and a better view from the back porch. We had a great week stay here for Memorial Day 2022. The cabin was very nice and there was plenty of room for 3 couples and 4 children ranging from 6-10 years old. It is definitely away from everything so if you are used to being close to grocery stores and restaurants be prepared to drive 40 minutes or more to get to town. We were not used to driving mountain roads so by the end of the week we were happy to get back to flat ground and straight roads. The cabin is super close to a boat ramp and the Tuckasegee river so if you like fishing and kayaking it's right around the corner. The waterfall is beautiful and keeps the back porch cool so it was nice to sit outside and relax. The wifi is very slow and there is 0 cell reception so if that is something important to you then this might not be the one for you. All in all it was a great place to get away with the comforts you need to unplug and relax. We liked driving to Cherokee and watching the elk come out in the late afternoon at the Oconaluftee Visitor Center. We made a day trip to the Biltmore with a stop at Biscuit Head in Asheville. We also did a tubing excursion on the French Broad River out of Headwaters Outfitters which was great!

Would definitely stay again.

Awesome cabin and property. I’d buy it if I won the lottery

Very nice place, only a few lightbulbs out. But the place had all the amenities plus more to stay there. Although make sure you put Tannesee Creek rd in your GPS. We put Canada Rd and that could take you out of the way, a long way. Make sure you don't mind twisty turns whenever you travel somewhere. The waterfall is outstanding.

The cabin was clean and beautiful. It's located in a perfectly serene location that let's you unplug and enjoy nature. The kids loved the waterfall as did the rest of us. The wifi was spotty and there is no real cell reception, but that's not why we chose this location. We chose it to be able to unplug and enjoy each other's company.

The perfect waterfall cabin! We rented it for a long weekend, to celebrate my 40th birthday. Plenty of space, well stocked with everything we could need and you can't beat the view of the waterfall, from both inside the cabin and from the back deck and hot tub. There's also many other waterfalls to go visit in the vicinity, so we drove a big 60 mile loop to 'chase waterfalls' for a fun afternoon. The only suggestion I would have for improvement would be to add a spotlight on the waterfall, so it can be viewed at night. Other waterfall-adjacent cabins we've rented have had nighttime lighting, and it really adds to the ambiance. But other than that, this was a superb cabin that we'd be lucky to rent again in the future!
