A lovely getaway. Having the lake and boats on hand made all the difference.

We absolutely loved staying here. It was immaculately clean. My husband and I took the canoe out around the lake. We played games around the big table. Brevard had such a nice little downtown! We'd love to stay again. Thank you!

This beautiful property had something for everyone. My 7 year old son advanced his fishing skills while my nature loving 9 year old daughter discovered the creatures of the lake. Just minutes away were beautiful waterfalls for the family to hike to. All while spending most of the time relaxing and absorbing the beautiful surroundings.

The property is amazing nestled in a private community but a small lake. It's only 10 minutes to any necessities (including pizza) and the cute town of Brevard is less than 30 and Asheville a little over an hour making it the perfect home bar for exploring Transylvania county. Though we spent many a day on the porches and the dock just enjoying the views and the quiet. The house is really well equipped and comfortable. Internet connection is great if you need to take any work video calls or want to stream shows. We grilled nearly every night, drank a pot of coffee every morning (great mugs), and the cozied up on the couches on rainy afternoons. Also the master shower is glorious. One thing to call out is that the property is extremely steep. If you're bringing your pup be prepared to do some hilly walks and bring reflective gear as the roads are narrow. Highly recommend this place!

Very nice place in a great area.

We spent a very relaxing long weekend at Kelly’s place and thoroughly enjoyed the house and lake. The lake is small but absolutely perfect for swimming, floating and paddle boarding. The view of the lake from the house and the private dock is gorgeous. Overall, a wonderful place to spend time escaping the heat and enjoying the lake!

In a private natural setting, the home overlooks a beautiful lake! Easy access to the water and equipment helps to make the property full of opportunities for a family. There are many comfortable seating areas both inside and outside and the well-equipped kitchen helped to make the visit a real pleasure.

We could only turn TV on upstairs and only with son's account. No instructions that we could find. the fire pit was not working and my son felt the line may have been clogged. Overall clean and nice. Family when all together did feel a little cramped with downstairs where they all slept. We loved having the boats to use. Enjoyed the swimming. Final concern found getting into the housse very difficult. The code was not sent to either my email or phone. Again my son called the owner. Thanks for children

**Notice-The property is gorgeous BUT there are no motor boats allowed on the lake. The closest lake that allows motor boats is approx. 45 minutes away. The owners were super helpful in pointing us to the closest lake and very responsive. The property is very serene with a private lake with rope swing, perfect for the kids. The paddle boat is a lot of fun and the fishing is good too. The fire pit is perfect for s’mores. The distance from the back porch to the dock is 68 steps downhill, the walk back up is a bit exhausting but a good cardio workout. We had a great time at this property overall.

After a very unexpected start to our summer, we were incredibly grateful for the time we had recently at Lake Toxaway with family. From walking in to see encouraging messages sprinkled throughout the interior space to enjoying the porch with its beautiful view to noticing our first morning that we could lay in bed and watch the sunrise, it was the deep exhale we needed. Thank you for sharing your space. It was such a gift for our family.

Great location! Loved being on the lake. Fishing off the dock was a blast. Home has a nice layout to accommodate five people. Beds were comfortable. Excellent communication from the owner, very responsive. Two negatives: bathmat in master was soaking wet and clearly had not been cleaned. Trash bins were overly full and very stinky right by the entry.

This cabin was beautiful. The view from the back porches on ground level and upstairs was awesome. Cousins' children who visited enjoyed the tarzan swing near the boat dock. There was something for everyone to enjoy. Just a warning though for seniors with mobility issues - there is no railing to hold on to as you go down the 50 steps from cabin to the lake.

We had a wonderful time during our long weekend stay at this property. The location is perfect! Stocked with all of essentials and so cozy. I’ve rented several spots but this is by far my favorite. You won’t be disappointed!

What a sweet little spot with a big view! Such a charming home and community. We fished on the lake, hiked to see as many falls as we could. Brevard is close by with cute shops and great food! We loved it all!

Nice place but the cleaners need to do a better job .

The moment you walk into the property you take in the view and the coziness and immediately relax. This was an ideal spot for us to spend time with family over the thanksgiving holiday. There were puzzles and games, paddle boating, and just breathtaking views while hanging out on the deck and by the campfire. We would definitely come back!

Although we had a brief stay for the weekend, we couldn't have been more happy with our time there! Beautiful home! So cozy!

We loved our visit to the mountains and loved our stay at Kelly and Allen's home in Lake Toxaway. The house was lovely and had everything we needed for a wonderful, fun-filled family weekend. We also enjoyed time on the beautiful private lake. It was convenient to Cashiers and Brevard and many beautiful sites! Kelly was responsive to help us with any questions. Would definitely recommend this home to anyone needing a great get away!

This is just a beautiful home and gorgeous location for a large family - or several families - to stay and relax in peace, quiet, and comfort, yet still have a waterfront to get out on in a canoe or kayak and enjoy nature's beauty, while still having the nearby conveniences of a few restaurants and stores. The home is lovely and well-equipped indoors and out with everything that is needed for a perfect vacation, including water toys and other equipment, even fishing gear! There is plenty of parking for several cars and the hosts could not have been more accommodating, accessible, friendly and helpful. An outdoor kitchen with fire pit and seating as well as a dock to sit and enjoy the quiet of the lake with coffee at sunrise or hot chocolate by the fire are added amenities that make this rental very unique and valuable as a getaway spot. We will definitely be coming back to this location as often as possible!

6 family members stayed comfortably. Very nice property with exceptional landscape including view of a small lake. It is a bit out of the way from activities that we were interested in. Had to also travel to get to the grocery store. If you are looking for a nice quiet spot to relax, this is it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house itself and the setting is even lovelier than the pictures show. The location is private and secluded without feeling completely remote. My favorite part of the day was enjoying coffee on the deck listening to birds and watching the sun come up over the lake. We also remarked how comfortable and cozy the living room was for reading or playing games in the evening. Wonderful vacation!

It was a very easy process to rent this property.

My family loved being at your beautiful home on the lake, Allen and Kelly. You were wonderful hosts and so generous with all you provided. Your fast response every time we had questions was amazing. We especially enjoyed being on the water, whether taking it in from the deck while eating a meal or actually “in” the water! The paddle and john boats were our favorites! Your home fit our needs so well. The beds were so comfortable as well as the living room furniture. The kitchen and nice size refrigerator were a big plus for us too. The only downside for me was that there were no curtains downstairs in the two bedrooms or playroom.

This cabin is absolutely beautiful! We loved it from the minute we walked in the door. The view isn't spectacular as the trees block most of the view of the small lake, but that didn't bother us as we didn't spend a lot of time at the cabin because we were out hiking to waterfalls. There were a couple things I did find odd though.... there were no curtains on the downstairs bedrooms? My teenagers hated the sun waking them up bright and early in the morning and felt strange changing clothes in front of windows that didn't have curtains on them. The other thing was that the owner left a lot of personal items in the cabin. We own a lakefront vacation rental in Michigan and we never leave personal items in the house. We have a special locked closet where we keep our stuff when its rented. We found clothes/socks in drawers, food in the fridge and cupboards, and even toothbrushes in the bathroom. This was very strange to us as we have never stayed in a vacation rental that left personal items out. But overall, we highly recommend this cabin. It was very clean and really beautiful inside and out.

Great experience renting this property. 2 levels of living space gave ample space to spread out & have own space. Really liked homey feel. Convenient location & easy to get to. Fabulous view of lake & sunrise.
