Absolutely wonderful! Beautiful home with a gorgeous location! Highly recommend!!

One can tell how much care and detail has been put into making this vacation home feel even better than home. All the bathrooms were supplied with extra details like make up wipes/cloths, magnifying mirrors, lotions/shampoos, etc. The kitchen has plenty of appliances and dish ware/silverware to entertain and cook as you would at home. The TV and entertainment center were easy to navigate and had lots of options to choose from. The home was very clean and decorated like pictures from a magazine! The views from this home are spectacular! When sitting on the deck and sipping my first morning coffee above the clouds and enjoying the sky blue-pink sunrise are unforgettable!! We stayed at the place for over 2 weeks and had a couple of friends/family join us periodically. The house is well laid out with plenty of space and bathrooms that each couple had their own space. No one wanted to leave. :-) I've stayed at a couple of VRBOs in different locations and this place is definitely the tops. You will not be disappointed in staying here and relaxing in the mountains.

Our second trip to this home & the moment we walk in, my wife says, “I remembered it was lovely, I had forgotten just how lovely.” The beds and linens were remarkably comfortable with plenty of excellent pillows. The entire home was very clean. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we needed for cooking all our favorite Autumn meals. The mountain views were breathtaking and ever present from all the living spaces. The living spaces were big and comfortable with ample room for us to spread out & stretch after our daily hikes. Communication with Elizabeth was easy & welcomed from start to finish. We could not ask for more from a luxurious mountain retreat. This home and its location are truly a treasure. We can’t for wait for next time!

This house is spectacular! The house is beautifully decorated and appointed with everything you could possibly need. The view is amazing…sunrise to sunset. Elizabeth is the consummate host and extremely responsive. We have stayed in other rental homes in this area but none more lovely. We were sad to leave and can’t wait to come back. Gorgeous!!!

This home was perfect for our book club's getaway to the mountains! We had an unforgettable weekend discussing books, watching movies, and eating great meals in the well-appointed kitchen. Each bedroom was lovely and luxurious, and at the same time, the house was extremely comfortable. We had many enjoyable conversations around the table and on upper deck -- and the mountain views were spectacular! Many thanks to Elizabeth and John for a fantastic stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this mountain house! The views were amazing, the house was perfect, and we could not have asked for a better weekend! Elizabeth was great in communication leading up to and during our trip. The house was charming! It had great views, lovely decor and a cozy element that was perfect for a relaxing getaway in the mountains. Charm aside, the house layout was ideal and very functional- it had everything you could think (including motion sensor lights outside for if we arrived back after dark, very well equipped kitchen, cozy blankets, grill, you name it!). Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the house, views and sipping wine by the fire! We hope to visit again!

This property is one of the best places we have stayed in the Toxaway/Cashiers area. The house is spacious and decorated very well. The view is second to none. I highly recommend this house for anyone.

My family and I had the most wonderful mountain getaway at Lake Toxaway. Elizabeth was the perfect hostess from the moment we made the reservation all the way through until we checked out. She anticipated our needs and sent us ideas for activities for our boys as well as fun options for the whole family. She even kept us updated on events in the community in the weeks leading up to our trip. We travel a lot as a family, and this was by far one of my favorite homes I’ve ever stayed in. It was extremely well furnished & clean. The kitchen was well appointed. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of room for comfortable indoor relaxing in the large common living areas, but with those views, everyone wanted to spend most of their time on the back porches. I give this home my highest recommendation and cannot wait to return.

Amazing views of the mountains, so cozy, quiet and well stocked. The owner, Elizabeth, made us feel so welcome. We were there during some heavy rains from a tropical storm and she checked on us regularly sending us updates from the community! When it wasn't raining, we had a wonderful time hiking and kayaking nearby. Amazing wildlife around as well! Our family and friends enjoyed our stay so much! We couldn't have asked for more gracious hosts! We'll be back!

Truly an amazing property. Has absolutely everything you could possibly need. The furnishings, linens, finishes, and the VIEWS.. all 5 star. All the beds are VERY comfortable with top of the line mattresses, pillows, and linens. The pictures online do not do it justice. Better than advertised. Great communication with owner & very flexible.

My family enjoyed every minute of our stay in this beautiful home! We’ve stayed in a number of places in and around the area, but this one truly met and surpassed all expectations!! In every way a 5 star experience! Driving up the mountain to the home were waterfalls, rhododendrons, and an array of gorgeous scenery and vistas all the way to their house. When we arrived, the house was not only beautiful on the outside but the inside as well. It was so nice to be able to come right in and relax in this super clean and inviting home. The furnishings and decorations were exceptional and unique — this home looks to have been appointed by an expert designer! The kitchen was stocked with literally anything and everything you need—also true for the rest of the home. We spent so many wonderful hours out on the deck and enjoyed the gorgeous mountains and our quiet, peaceful surroundings. The landscape was picturesque as well as the views — the pictures seriously do not (and can not) do this view and this experience justice. We immediately were able to relax and couldn’t have enjoyed our stay any more. The area has some top-level dining available, incredible hiking, nature, fun and games, the lake…all nearby. Elizabeth was so sweet, helpful and was available whenever you needed anything. She had anticipated anything and everything you might need or could want. We will definitely plan on staying again. This is a home away from home, a true rarity!

Look no further! This home is as stunning as the views you see from it. It’s warm, inviting, clean and Elizabeth makes you feel so welcomed. She had a basket of goodies for my kids as we entered the doors. She was in great communication the whole time and very attentive to every detail. My husband thinks she must be an interior designer because the house is beautifully decorated and makes you feel at home. The location is great for traveling to Cashiers/Highlands and Brevard areas. Sylva and other towns are about an hour drive and worth venturing to. But if you are just looking to kick back and relax this home has every amenity you need… sit back and relax while enjoying the mountain range views or drop down to the Greystone and enjoy hanging out on the lawn watching the boaters go by or rent a boat of your own. There are a ton of hiking trails in the area and can not forget to mention the endless amount of beautiful waterfalls. Pisgah and Gorges Park are close and offer great trails as well as sliding rock. All in all this home is one anyone should be so lucky to get the chance to rent! Elizabeth and John thank you for opening your home to our family… we enjoyed every minute! We are only sad we couldn’t have stayed longer.

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful mountain home for my wife's birthday. The pictures speak for themselves that the property and location are beautiful, so I'll add some context you can't get from the listing. Frequent, friendly and accommodating communication with the owner really enhanced the experience.She went out of her way to stay in touch and make sure all our needs were met, but without being overbearing about it. She really came across as someone we'd like to meet in person and enjoy. The home is also very well stocked not just with the amenities listed, but with so many of the little things a family or group might want / need during their stay. Unlike some places that have the bare minimum, this property really felt like someone's home with all the positives that come with that, but none of the negatives.

Our stay in this beautiful Lake Toxaway estate could not have been more perfect. As others have mentioned, the pictures do not do the home justice; the views are immediately breathtaking, and every space is luxuriously--though tastefully--decorated. Perhaps more important, however, was the amount of time and care it was obvious the owners put into ensuring an unforgettable stay. First, the house itself: every need has been anticipated and attended to. The home had all of the supplies, appliances, and devices we could have wanted, and even some nice surprises--such as a Roomba--that we did not expect, but certainly appreciated nonetheless. Second, the service from the owners was unmatched. Not only was the entire reservation process flawless, but the communication leading up to, during (and even after), our stay was always incredibly responsive and professional. Every question was promptly answered, and every need was accommodated. In fact, we even shipped a few (infant) supplies to the home prior to our stay, and the owners ensured that they were appropriately stored (and secured) and ready for us when we arrived. The owners also made sure that we were apprised of local events and things to do during our visit. All in all, we could not have been more pleased. Our family had a wonderful and relaxing week in the mountains, and we cannot wait to return!

The view is magnificent. The home is beautiful and very nicely decorated. First class accomodations. The owner could not have been more pleasant to deal with. Nearby Gorges State Park has great trails and the nearby town of Highlands is a good visit.

Very private, great location right up up on top of the mountain just like we wanted, place was just like in the picture, very clean and comfortable. Bed was very comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed to cook all appliances in great condition. Beautiful views great place to stay. My family and I had so much fun... only problem is the limited of the water but Elizabeth had extra gallons of water around the house. I do take long showers so had to take fast showers ... I would recommend to anyone traveling the area! I Would come back again, fell in love with the place ps..we saw a bear and that was awesome

Everything about the home was comfortable, spacious, cozy and relaxing, but also elegant appointed with premier bedding and decor. We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect place that felt like home, but in a location that fueled our souls and allowed for quality family time after months of separation. Elizabeth, our host was wonderful and did so many things to make our Thanksgiving memorable. For that we will forever be appreciative. We will be back! We stayed here with my wife's family - four couples. There was plenty of room on three different floors. It felt private and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with all tools, gadgets, and appliances. The master bath was very spacious, something you would expect in a luxurious home. The view from the main floor was just like advertised in the pictures. Elizabeth, the owner, was super easy to communicate with, and she was very responsive. I would recommend this house to our friends and anyone looking for a nice rental place in Lake Toxaway/Cashiers/Sapphire Valley area.

The house was lovely and so comfortable. The views amazing! The little fishing pond close-by was also a big hit with the kids!

There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe this beautiful home and it's setting. As others have said the photos do not do it justice. The Lake Toxaway community is lovely and surrounding towns of Cashiers and Highlands are quite charming but you could stay at home and never lack for anything, lots of movies, games, puzzles etc. We spent many happy hours on the deck, admiring the view and enjoying the mountain temperatures! Our group did a lot of cooking and found everything we needed including a microplane grater! Ask a question and Elizabeth, the homeowner, is back to you in no time. We have had many VRBO stays and this by far was the absolute best. Everything is First Class! If ten stars were possible this property should have it. Thank you, Elizabeth for an amazing week!

If you are looking for the most wonderful property for your Lake Toxaway getaway look no further! First, the owners are outstanding communicators that are helpful and very knowledgeable about the area. Their home is immaculate and the views are beyond spectacular from the back porch! This home is good for a trip with friends or for quality family time. They have thought of everything you may need and the accommodations are just beautiful. Second, there is so much attention to detail including luxurious linens and well appointed decor! Every single bed in the house is SO comfortable!! The kitchen and laundry room were exceptionally clean and well stocked! Third, they checked on us during our stay to make sure everything was taken care of and saw to it that we had an enjoyable time while at their home. We have been traveling to Lake Toxaway for 40 summers and enjoy the area so much! We will most definitely be back to this home and recommend this property very highly!!

The experience was lovely from start to finish. A beautifully decorated home with much attention to details. The house was clean, a well appointed kitchen for dining in. Extraordinary views that can be enjoyed on spacious decks with comfy rocking chairs. The bedrooms were very comfortable with ample space. The cool temperatures were a welcome change from a typical southern July. I would recommend it as a great place to make memories with loved ones Owners were extremely helpful in providing information. I hated to leave. ☹️

From the minute we walked in we knew we made the right choice! Situated high in the mountains of Lake Toxaway, we had spectacular views of the mountains, not to mention colorful sunsets, and for you early birds, a beautiful sunrise. The house is beautifully appointed and had everything you need to make your stay enjoyable. It is tastefully decorated with such attention to detail in every room. The beds were very comfortable in every room and the lower level of the home was like having an extra apartment complete with your own TV sitting room and fireplace and I don't want to forget the fabulous porch swing! The owners were in contact with us before and during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. For those of you who need to take care of business while away, I need to mention that the Wifi at the house was great. The house was top notch! Not one complaint. You will love it here!
