Arrived at house and the supplied code of 0841 did not work on either front or back door lock box. Their contact number went straight to voice mail so we were stranded with no place to stay the night with two child. Tried phoning several times throughout the evening and always to voice mail. Ended up having to book arnarstapi hotel for the night which luckily had a family room available. Returned to the house at 10pm Iceland time and tried the 0841 pin again several times and in various ways, it just didn't work at all. Tried phoning again at 10pm and still voice mail, tried phoning 8am in the morning when I was suppose to be getting ready for my wedding and still got voice mail. Avoided this place like a plague it ruined not only the night before my wedding but it also ruined my now wife's birthday which was 31st may. I have already made a complaint to booking.com and will be doing a credit card charge back soon as I get home. So basically I dare to say I didn't like anything about this experience at all.

Did not like being left with no place to stay and no way to contact the owner as just goes straight to voicemail. Completely terrifying experience when you find yourself possibly homeless for the night with an eight and four year old in the car. Thankfully arnerstapi hotel had rooms so suggest you book there instead

Out of all the houses we stayed in Iceland this was the most comfortable with best amenities! Really comfortable beds, huge closet and massive living space. The layout was so convenient because all the space was usable. Modern kitchen with new stove and all the pots, pans and items you may need. Great coffee selection - real coffee, no pods! Coffee for us is important. There was also tea, sugar, hot chocolate, oil, spices, many considerate items to help with cooking. Toaster, kettle, etc.

The place is super cozy, the house is perfectly localized. Exploring the area is a bliss.

The beds are a bit too small for a couple.

Wonderful house with incredible views and amazing walks right out of the house. We loved staying there.

We had the best stay! The house's location was private with an open floor plan and windows that looked out to the ocean on one side and the glacier on the other. Big common space and kitchen, which we used to make all meals. Kitchen has a new touch stove, which was easy to keep clean. Plenty of pots, pans and baking items. Coffee and tea in the house was also good. Nice touch to have drinks available and we find coffee important. It was great to have a smart TV- made everything feel modern even in the countryside. The house decor had style and it did not feel like an average hotel room. Lighting was also great, considering how dark it got we had plenty of options of what to turn on and off. Would definitely return to experience the area in another season!

We liked the location although we had contradictory information about its address, we managed to find it

The bedrooms are quite small with no room for end tables or lamps. The living room was quite large with a quarter of it being unused. Perhaps a sofa bed in the large open space?

The location and view were amazing! We stayed in the glass house for 2 nights and it was perfect for exploring the peninsula. The full kitchen allowed us to cook meals which was handy for our family.

The kitchen knives could use some sharpening.

This house was spacious with the best views we had on our entire trip! We were able to see the glacier and river from the back deck and the ocean on the other side of the house. The setting was like a postcard. The river runs directly through the back of the property and the deck has clear glass installed so you can see everything! It was well designed and taken care of. We hope to return during the winter season to get a different perspective on the village! The kitchen was fully equipped and we cooked all our meals there

Location is fantastic beautiful nature and weather was very good. Everything was clean and minimalistic

Great place to spend some quality time with family, and situated perfectly. Finding the cabin was easy enough with the coordinates provided by the hosts, who are extremely friendly and helpful!

An extra lamp in the living room wouldn't be a bad idea, especially if you have readers in your company. On the other hand, there is plenty to see through the massive windows and the free-to-use Netflix!
