This was such a beautiful home and an ideal location for our trip. Kathy was a great host, providing lots of great recommendations for restaurants and activities. I’m already thinking about when I can come back with my husband.

My wife and I, and 2 friends from Wales, U.K. stayed in this lovely home for a week in September 2023. Everything about this home was wonderful. Our excellent host Kathy did so many caring things to make our stay perfect. She provided great information about the area, restaurants, and many other attractions. Kathy's communication with us before and during our stay could not have been better! Her home was beautiful, spacious, very clean, and well-appointed with all the amenities. We spent many hours in the sunroom enjoying the views of the Gloucester inner harbor. The location was convenient to explore Gloucester on foot and take day trips to Rockport, Salem, and Boston. Thank you, Kathy for helping to make our stay in Gloucester so memorable!

My family and I were extremely lucky to find such a wonderful, well-equipped and extremely beautiful home for us to spend the week in Gloucester. This home is everything a person could ask for. Spacious, comfortable, well stocked. Did not feel like a rental. Host went above and beyond to see we had everything we needed. She actually gave us the coat off her back, (it was cold and we didn't have enough jackets). It was an exceptional experience and would recommend to everyone and hope to visit again.

Overall wonderful accommodations, very well equipped and an excellent VRBO host! Kathy was very accommodating and made our check in and check out process flow very smoothly. The house has everything we needed for our family visit attending a nearby wedding. Kathy also helped arrange a baby sitting service through a local contact. We walked every where including the beautiful Beauport hotel. We would gladly stay here again on a future visit to Gloucester.

We stayed at this property for my son's wedding weekend in Gloucester - it was perfect and an easy walk to the wedding and to town! Kathy was so welcoming, and helpful, and the house was clean, comfortable and just the right size for our needs

My husband and I recently stayed in Kathy's Gloucester home for 19 nights. We have stayed there before and knew it would be a perfect place to host family visiting from Colorado, including two young children. They loved the house and Gloucester! The house is very spacious, comfortable and inviting, with plenty of room to be together or to have your own space to read or just relax. The family room and sun porch are perfect spaces to gather. The sun porch has wonderful views out over the working harbor and it's endlessly fascinating to watch the activities there. The kitchen is very well stocked and there is comfortable seating at the kitchen island, perfect for breakfast, lunch and casual meals. The dining room is absolutely lovely for gathering at dinner. There are many interesting books available to read, as well as games for the kids and some beach items--the kids enjoyed using the wave boards at Good Harbor Beach. There are plenty of towels, sheets and beach towels. We were very grateful for the air conditioning and ceiling fans because we were there during the peak of the August heat wave. Kathy is a wonderful host--she is very warm and welcoming and is available to provide local information or assistance with a question about the house if you need it, while not being intrusive. We thoroughly enjoyed our perfect Gloucester getaway!

We have been spending over 30 years taking our vacation on Cape Ann. We have stayed in various inns and private homes. This is by far the nicest place to date. Kathy’s home is the most beautiful and she is a wonderful host and a very kind and accommodating person. The only problem I had was leaving.😢

This place had everything you would need. It was very luxurious. The kitchen and sun room are fabulous. All the rooms had separate AC so if you want it use it and if not open the windows for a nice breeze. The beaches are all very close and they offer chairs, sand toys, boogie boards etc in the garage. We had a great stay. Kathy left is very detailed notes with current events going on around town and in surrounding areas. She provided us with tons of information about things to do and places to see. She was a great host.

Kathy made herself incredibly available to us both before and during our stay. She was flexible to our check out needs, which we greatly appreciated and even sent us a list of ideas for activities during our stay! The home was beautiful and clean, and the kids loved watching the boats in the harbor. We were able to walk to donuts and drives to the beach and breakfast were <5 minutes. Really loved our stay!

Two downsides to this beautiful property for us: No bathroom on main floor (we are 70 and there are a lot of stairs for elderly people.) Neighborhood was noisy for us. We enjoyed the piano. The master bedroom shower is amazing. The sun room was a favorite. We didn't get outside very much because of heat, but the yard is beautiful also.

Our group of four came up to Cape Ann for a wedding in Rockport and had the pleasure of staying at Kathy’s home in Gloucester. The house is beautiful and is sincerely idyllic. The kitchen had everything needed to cook multiple large meals. The bedrooms and bathrooms were a great respite after days of wedding festivities. Kathy also provided us with everything we needed and wanted including a very handy local taxi service. The location is also very close to a downtown area which came in useful for rushed food needs and coffee. Even while there in late June we never used the AC as the waterfront wind and fans kept the house cool and comfortable. Kathy is also a wonderful host and full of care and graciousness! Our group agreed that our stay with Kathy was as worth our trip as the wedding itself and hope we would stay again in the future!

This home has everything! We loved being able to walk everywhere in downtown Gloucester and beyond (only 2.5 miles to visit the Sleeper-McCann house - well worth it). It's a relief to put your car in their secure garage and go and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of Gloucester (think ocean, not fish!). When 'home,' we spent most of our time in the sunroom - cozy and warm with water views on 3 sides. The house has a nice flow to it with many spots to hide away in to read and relax. It is upscale, yet comfortable. The harbor view from the large master bedroom is a joy to wake up to. I loved hearing the birds sing instead of traffic noises. Although just 45 steps up from the Crow's Nest (movie - The Perfect Storm), the house is on a small, quiet street. The owner, Kathy, is very thoughtful. There is a basket of brochures of things to see and do in Gloucester and the North Shore area. She provided links to local events and a list of restaurants. Best recommendation - Mom's Kitchen for the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had! The three of us really enjoyed our 2 weeks here - no complaints, just compliments.

This house was everything it advertised. Beautifully maintained, spacious house with a great view overlooking the harbor. Beds were very comfortable and the sun room was the perfect place for morning coffee. The host was gracious and responsive to any questions. Kitchen was equipped with everything you need for pots, pans, utensils, plates, etc. walking distance to downtown Gloucester and a couple small beaches. Highly recommend this property and owner. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

This house had the best location in Gloucester with an amazing view of the harbor! Huge house for a big family. A mix of modern amenities and old world charm. Very clean house with a very convenient garage for parking your car. Just a short walk to downtown souvenir shops and restaurants. Walgreens just a couple blocks away. Waterfront walk and the freshest seafood you’ll ever eat! Quiet neighborhood with very friendly neighbors. The people in Gloucester are so very friendly. The Beaches, Salem, and Boston are just a short drive away. Gloucester is one of the most beautiful charming sea towns on the East Coast. Excellent accommodations. My favorite parts of the house was the sunroom and the most beautiful grand piano! You can’t get any better than this! Highly recommended!

This gorgeously appointed home has a fantastic view of the water from a relaxing sunroom. Everything is beautifully appointed, and the location is convenient to all of Gloucester (mostly on foot!) and so convenient to day-drives throughout the North Shore. Our host was top-knotch, and not only do we want to come again, we will unreservedly recommend this home to our friends & family.

A terrific home away from home. The home was well kept and clean and Kathy was accessible if needed. She provided ideas for our stay and left plenty of literature for us to consider. The sun room was beautiful to relax and read in and the master bedroom was large with an en-suite bathroom and a spectacular view.

This is a beautiful and spacious property near downtown Gloucester with amazing views of the working harbor and a lovely sunroom. Our family had a wonderful stay. The host was very thoughtful and left some children's books, stuffed animals, and beach toys out for the kids.

My extended family and I stayed at this lovely home for a Spring Break getaway and to visit family. Kathy is a fabulous host and has such a charming and welcoming home. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time in Gloucester and all the amenities this home has to offer. Having our morning tea while sitting on the porch enjoying the view was certainly a highlight.

Everything about this house was better than advertised, I really enjoyed the big jacuzzi tub!! Very convenient location too.

This home is beautifully laid out with lots of space for entertaining. We enjoyed a lovely holiday in Gloucester. The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to easily host dinner for 8. The location allows for easy access to both 128 & 127 making short trips around the North Shore very easy. Gloucester is so lovely and you can easily walk from the house through town and along the waterfront. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very nicely sized and the entire house was spotless. Highly recommend!

Thank you to an incredible host, Kathy, we had an amazing time on our one week vacation to Gloucester. The house is in a perfect location to walk to downtown, waterfront, and many delicious restaurants and bakeries. Then, when you return to the house it’s so comfy and cozy with a wood stove and water views and a wonderful three season room. The house is stocked with everything you would need! Wonderful house, we hope to be back again.
