We had a great stay in this house! It is beautifully restored, and was a pleasure to stay in. It is also very close to downtown/the beach and Central Park (which has a great playground for the kids). It was a great week!

This was our 3rd year back at Southern Comfort and it was just like coming home! Our kids have started calling it “our Cape Charles House”—they love it here and The owners do a great job of keeping everything clean, ready, and easy for us! Thank you for everything and another great vacation in 2021!

Our family stayed at Southern Comfort for 2 weeks. Debbie and her husband are lovely people. They are easy to communicate with and even sent us messages about events around town. They were so kind and brought my husband soap that they once sold at Southern Comfort. The house is comfortable and charming. It had everything we needed.

Our whole experience was so pleasant from beginning to end!! The house is in a great location and was super clean when we arrived. Debbie was very responsive to all our questions. Overall it was a great time and we can’t wait to return!!

We had a great stay at Southern Comfort. Debbie was very responsive to our needs and concerns. The house was charming, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing on the front porch. We cooked in the kitchen every day. We walked to church, shops and the beach. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Cape Charles.

Cape Charles is the perfect place to take young children! This house is extremely convenient - short walk to shops, restaurants and the beach.

There are 2 lovely modern but period-piece bathrooms--one with a tub and one with a shower. It would have been helpful to know that there was one shower. The information about the town and property was in a drawer. The owner responded very quickly to all of our questions prior to the trip. Some of the questions before our trip at checkout could have been resolved with a paragraph and more information on the VRBO site. Answers to a couple of questions at the end of our trip when checking out, which required that we call the owner, who responded quickly, could have been noted in the information about the house in the drawer.
