We had a very enjoyable stay! Our family of 6 had plenty of room, and the outside area is fantastic! My husband caught plenty of fish off the dock. I will say that I did go out and buy a few extra pots and pans because I only found one pan and pot. There is only one TV in the living room, so if your one who likes to watch TV while laying down it doesn’t have one. But overall it’sa great place to stay and we will definitely come back!!!

Love the view! We were fascinated with the otters playing in the water while fishing from the dock.

Excellent property. The fees were excessive for our short stay. The property was listed as 8 miles from rock hill sports complex. It was a 30 minute drive each way each day.

Setting of the cabin is beautiful. The house was comfortable and well stocked. The second bedroom lacked window screens and provided an inferior mattress. We had a pleasant, relaxing vacation at his cabin. Thanks you.

The location was great. The overall feel was like a camp. The property could use a little more love. Slightly run down. Overalll clean but oven and other item could use a better cleaning. Since we stayed 2 weeks had to go to the laundry mat. Washer and dryer would of been great. For the price it was good.

We enjoyed sitting on the large screened deck watching the lake activity and beautiful sunsets. Will definitely be back for another stay.

This property is amazing. I wish we had stayed longer. The beds are comfortable. There are no tvs in the bedrooms, but the kids stayed outside most of the time anyways.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, house was in excellent condition and not far from shopping and restaurants.

We took two grandchildren ,ages 4 and 6, with us to Mom’s Cabin for four nights. The kids are part fish and loved jumping from the dock into the fresh water to waiting grandparents. The dock has a 5 step ladder so getting out is easy. One day we rented a pontoon from Tema Cay Marina which is close by. We were able to tie up at the dock and come and go as we pleased. We enjoyed watching the ski team practice although we were unable to see their show as we left on Friday, the only day they perform. The kids had their first experience with fishing from the dock. A small herd of deer which we viewed from the large screened porch greeted us each morning. Lots of indoor and outdoor games provided and our littles enjoyed the fenced in playground. The only issue we had was an encounter with chiggers by our youngest as she cut through the high grass to get a better view of the deer. Recommend bug spray for any such outing! The kitchen is well equipped, the beds and bedding comfortable and all areas were clean. We hope to stay again next year.

We absolutely loved our stay!!! We are already looking forward to booking again. It exceeded our expectations!! Awesome vacation getaway!!! My husband said to give the place 10 stars!!!

This will be our second time staying at mom‘s cabin. Hopefully there will be more in the future. Very restful clean cabin. With just an extraordinary view of the lake.

Gave a 3 star for cleanliness because the cabin inside was clean and well stocked with everything we needed, but the out door amenities were underwhelming. Screened in porch needed regular cleaning and maintenance and the paddle boat was not useable, one chair was completely broken off and it was very dirty. Did enjoy fishing off the dock and sunning in the yard, but most of the yard chairs were also unusable. The owner was responsive to questions. The cabin is in a great area and very private with many stores and restaurants nearby. Could be a really great getaway vacation cabin with a little love.

Our second time staying at the cabin and my little family had a blast. My kids affectionately call it the “dock” and that exactly where we spent most of the time. Thanks for everything!

Great property but can be difficult getting food delivery

Property was great and also enjoyed the surrounding area, especially the town of Belmont and Papa Doc’s restaurant. Spacious cabin, we especially liked the master bedroom with views and porch access. February was a little cool for the lake and the porch, but we really enjoyed the views from the porch.

Exactly what we were looking for.

Nice place. Has everything you need. Towels, linens, Keurig, ice maker. We did not use the technology nor the dock and water. By water it would be a ride up to Papa Docs or the NC sandbar but not too far that you wouldn't go there. Did make several calls to Bill bf he finally responded. He was very good with email. Watch your car bc the house is deep in the woods and the road is dirt and gravel and very holey. My car is low to the ground and if it’s dark you will bottom out in paces. Go slow. You also have to drive thru a new construction neighborhood so that was questionable ie “Is this right?” We did not stay at the place much due to cold rain but it would have been a lovely wknd had it been hot and sunny. There’s a fire pit but it was locked with a cover. I would recommend this place and would rent again with Bill. It’s a no frills place but a great place if you can be outside and rent a boat. And a good location to SW Clt and Ft Mill restaurants and shopping.
