This was an excellent spot. The location was superb, our hosts helpful and communicative (and made us a pizza), and the actual suite beautiful. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

The apartment was exactly as pictured. It was exquisite, living up to an apartment in the “Paris of South America,” exuding elegance with beautiful high ceilings. We felt we were “living the life!” It was very spacious and filled with all the amenities. Just steps outside were a bakery, a wine shop, a corner market, a fruit store, a grocery store, restaurants and fabulous empanadas!!! Federico, the concierge, is a true treasure. He answered all of our questions & more. We miss him already. Thank you Hamish for all that you provided. Our trip to Argentina was perfect.

What a splendid apartment in a marvelous neighborhood. The concierge was very attentive, the accommodations could not have been better, and the central location was a blessing - many sights were within walking distance, as were many really fine restaurants and shops. The pastry shop that was literally next store was out of this world. We'd happily stay here again!

This space is stunning and beautiful. We can't recommend it highly enough. The owner Hamish and his local manager Federico made us feel right at home. Hamish always had great tips to make our stay more pleasant and recommended some fabulous restaurants we never would have found. The apartment was spotless and in amazing condition for such an historic building. We felt truly welcome.

To begin, I'll say that we have been staying in similar places (40+ places) in many countries for the last 3 years and have not left 1 bad review until now. The price of this stay for 1 month was close to what the price of staying in a 5 star hotel (for a foreigner paying in cash) in the city would be, so it is not cheap. The apartment resembles the pictures, but upon closer inspection the quality does not live up to the grandeur of the place in photos. Pros: The bed is very comfortable, the apartment is spacious, great location to move around BA, good water pressure, nicely decorated for the most part, Fede the property manager was very responsive and helpful. Cons: There were many (~15) broken or malfunctioning parts of the home. - broken blinds (in the main bedroom so light came in every morning - these had been broken by a previous guest) - very dusty and dirty (including dead cockroaches, greasy pots and pans and 1 inch tall stacks of dust on the fans and window ledges) - sinks with no functioning hot water in the master bedroom - internet unusable in most of the house despite being told there were 15 mbps - we ended up having to use SIM cards for much of our data -broken refrigerator shelf (it had been glued back together with a plastic ruler - we received a new fridge upon letting the property manager know) - etc... Some of these were fixed during our time there once we pointed them out, but it felt as though we were managing years worth of unmaintained things as guests, while working our day jobs. It seemed as though there had not been a thorough inspection of the apartment done before we arrived. When we reached out to Hamish requesting a partial refund for the laundry list of maintenance we put time into, we received a very nasty email back where he decided he needed to chastise us. This email stated things such as "do your worst" (on the review), called us Peronists, mocked us for requesting some compromise when the services listed were not delivered and finally told us good luck screwing another company that you use in the future, as if to say we are terrible people. Despite that, we are trying to leave a truthful and balanced review. Overall, I'd say if the apartment has many of these things fixed, it would be a lovely stay. Unfortunately, that was not our experience and the host's response was the worst part. Unnecessary, unprofessional and blatantly rude.

Excellent service and property! All amenities as listed. Hamish and Ezequiel are perfect hosts. If looking for a safe and ideal location, close to major points of interest and easy access to transportation, you can’t ask for anything better! The apartment is so large and beautifully decorated. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glassware and utensils. Very comfortable stay. Will probably book again in the future.

This is a fantastic apartment in an historic building, located in the Barrio Norte/ Recoleta area, in a very safe walkable neighborhood. This apartment oozes charm from the front door to the living room. There are very high ceilings, an amazing master bedroom with adjoining master bath with a shower, and a loft with a TV/washer. There are two additional bedrooms, and as a party of three, we had access to the upstairs loft/bedroom, which also has an adjoining bathroom and somewhat low ceilings, and a very low threshold. Great for children, but it can be difficult for a tall adult. (The third bedroom was on the main level and was locked.) The sitting room was beautiful, as was the adjacent dining room. The kitchen is somewhat funky, and the quality of the kitchen supplies, cookware, and dinnerware do not live up to the high standard of the beautiful decorative touches throughout the apartment. This was not a problem for us because we preferred to dine out. Ezekiel, who manages the apartment, was lovely and extremely helpful. He met us upon our arrival, explained the apartment to us, and was more than helpful in getting us started on our Argentine adventure.

We had a wonderful time staying in Recoleta. The home was set-up wonderfully. They thought of everything a traveler might need. Beautifully spacious and no street noise. Beautiful and historic. Close to all the places you want to see. Subt is a few blocks aways, grocery store around the corner and great cafes abound. Hamish was a wonderful and thoughtful host. Best place to stay!!!!

I liked the location and large rooms but did not like the street noise in front of the house and the toilet seats in the bathrooms. The owner can contact me for further feedback.

Hamish's home is beautiful and the Recoleta is a great neighborhood from which to explore the city. BA City Apartments was great - they provided transportation to the airport and gave us an introduction to the apartment on the first day.

Once in a while, you have the good fortune to come across a really exceptional apartment. This is one of them. Centrally located in beautiful Recoleta, this sophisticated rental boasted 20 foot ceilings, French doors onto a balcony, a large master bedroom and a chic and comfortable decor. Super friendly staff serviced the apartment and the neighborhood was packed with wonderful shops and specialty food stores. (Plus the owners leave you lists of all their favorite restaurants and vendors. )Will definitely rent again when we return to Buenos Aires!

Hamish is super friendly and prompt to reply to inquiries, questions and or concerns. The apartment is much larger than I had anticipated, the space is accentuated by high ceilings and proper lighting. It really sets the mood for a wonderful Buenos Aires visit. It would be hard to find such spectacular space with a central location for the price, take it from me (I have lived in Buenos Aires twice). This beautifully renovated apartment is the perfect stay in BA. The main bedroom is spacious and light filled with a super comfortable king bed, ensuite and upstairs lounge. My friend stayed in the second bedroom which has two beds and an ensuite. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal and the main dining area is a great space to entertain and enjoy dinner. The apartment is centrally located. Walking distance to all major museums, Recoleta Cemetery, botanical gardens, bars, restaurants, a liquor store, deli and a huge supermarket. I used the nearby subway to get to Palermo, San Telmo and other parts of BA, but taxis are everywhere and cheap. Do yourself a favor and book this apartment!

Our family of four visited Buenos Aires in June and loved our stay in this wonderful apartment. The location was superb, the apartment lovely and Hamish was responsive and helpful. We especially appreciated all of the recommendations and maps that were available to us in the apartment. The apartment is spacious and the kitchen well-stocked. We loved our time there!

I spent two months in this lovely apartment in the heart of Recoleta. Charming, spacious and well appointed I was able to host several dinner parties with all the wine glasses, plates and service items needed. Comfortable master bed and ensuite as well as an additional bedroom for my daughters when they came to visit. The neighbourhood is friendly and there are good nearby restaurants. My favourite was Honorio. A few minutes walk to the subway and taxis always handy on the main street a half a block away. I would definitely recommend and hope to return myself.

This apartment is extremely comfortable, attractive and convenient. The property managers and owner were very responsive. I have traveled all over the world and this is among the very best places I have stayed. I recommend it without reservation!!

Everything was fine we enjoyed the city the surrounding neighborhood was quaint and easy to quickly become acquainted with went shopping enjoyed new places like Puerto Madero, a tango show had delicious bifes at La Estancia, as well as chivito, in all a vibrant, young, and beautiful city, thank you for allowing us to use your magnificent apartment.

Centrally located in a neat Recoleta neighborhood. Very clean well kept place w/lots of character. Can't say enough about how accommodating the landlord is, and just how knowledgeable they are about area - which really helped. If you are coming from afar, this is a very nice place to stay and lowers the "unknown barrier" to nothing.

Overall, we were pleased with this apartment. The location is central, and there is a grocery nearby, as well as laundromat (no machine in apt.) It is comfortable and stylish, and quiet because the bedrooms are face an inner courtyard. One evening we lost power, and were waiting for an electrician, but I realized it was only our apt. and managed to track down someone who knew where the breakers for the building were located. My only issue is the additional cash fee charged by the BA City staff when we checked out. He came at 8 am Friday morning, and apparently this qualifies as an "early checkout". I think their time window for a "normal" checkout is too narrow and unfair. This has nothing to do with the owner , Hamish, who was prompt and professional to deal with, and refunded our deposit within days.

perfect location at recoleta and barrio norte -- easy to walk many places. lots of space for two. attentive point of contact. comfortable furnishings. Transactions with owner were quick, easy and simple -- Hamish was terrific. possible extra perk for guests; though difficult, may be helpful to help find international guests somewhere to store luggage if they arrive before checkin etc....

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful apartment for five nights . We where blown away with the way the home was decorated. Fantastic ... The location was perfect, you could walk to all the hot spots in Recoleta. The owner Hamish was so helpful with all our needs. We have stayed in homes all around the world and this was one of the best. We highly recommend this and we will be back again.. Thanks for sharing your home with us...
