The property was just perfect to celebrate our honeymoon. The views were stunning no matter what time of the day! The property had everything we needed for the beach (chairs, umbrella, coolers, and towels). The complex as a whole has a great amenities too! I would suggest having a car while staying here just because the grocery and restaurants/bars aren't really walking distance, but everything is a very short (and cheap) Uber drive. We hope to be able to come back again!

My husband and I celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and Dave's Place was perfect! Its even more beautiful in person! There is allot to do or do nothing.. We did a little of both. Will definitely return and thank you for having us! Gregg and Lisa

The condo is clean and quiet. I typically need ear plugs when I travel to sleep, I never had to use them once. You can hear the ocean from the lanai, and when you open the sliding door, you can hear it through out the living room! The kitchen was fully stocked. Beach supplies are also provided. Communication was easy with Dave. The location is great, a nice base for most of Maui. If we ever make it back to Maui we would stay here again.

Very nice, clean home with beautiful view. Liked being on second floor - convenient and yet private. Great location. Communication with Dave was easy, super helpful and clear. Sunset and moonlight views from the lanai will be permanently etched in our memories.

Very happy with our choice to stay at Toshiko & Dave’s Menehune Shores condo. The views are beautiful. You can watch the sunset over the ocean/beach from your Lanai every night and you can watch turtles right off the rocks of the fish pod. The condo has everything you need to enjoy your days on the beach which was a huge plus for us. We hope to be back soon.

Have been to Kihei a few times before where we've stayed closer to main business area. This condo is a little further up S. Kihei Rd. Great thing about that is it is very quiet at night. Don't get the road noise/revellers/beach goers that tends to happen further down the road. Short 2 minute drive to shopping. Fanatastic set up. Lots of options for cooling; fans, AC etc. Breeze off the lanai is wonderful. Really well kept. Extremely comfortable bed. Great amenities and well stocked with all the kitchen/beach needs. Morning and sunset views are spectacular - whales early morning 500 yds off the lanai, turtles sleep on the aritifical reef that surrounds the mini beach right in front of the Menehune. Parking excellent. Owners really easy to deal well and are very welcoming. Will stay there again.

My husband and I are also VRBO owners and we are very picky! The Jager’s condo is perfect in EVERY way. They did everything just the way we do for our beach condo in Florida. Absolutely EVERYTHING you need for a stay at the beach is provided for you. There were beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and beach towels. Also laundry detergent, fabric softener and even Shout. The kitchen is new and fully equipped and even has a rice cooker. I titled this review Perfect Location because I spent hours looking on Maui maps trying to figure out the best place to stay for everything we wanted to do. THIS IS IT! It is as centrally located as you can get. Many condos we passed are on the other side of the road from the beach and there is a lot of traffic. The Jager’s condo is in the very most beachfront location in the building. If you are looking at Menehune Shores on the map, the building is shaped like a horse shoe and their unit is at the top of the shoe. The balcony is shaded until after lunch and we spent all morning there. It gets sunny in the afternoon and that’s when we did our sightseeing. Then it was back to the condo for a gorgeous sunset every evening and a beautiful dinner on the balcony. Perfect in every way!

We could not have happier with this Condo. The sunset views were out of this world! The beaches in front of us were beautiful and we were able to take mile long walks in either direction. The kitchen was completely stocked which made it easy to fix bfast and dinner. It was clean, quiet and air conditioned - our three prerequisites for a rental. We’ve found a go to rental on Maui. If only we could have stayed a bit longer.

Strategically located, short drive to Kihei, Wailea, and most parks (like Kalama). The ocean pond was an excellent add-on to play (this is accessible for public as well, but we could watch kids from balcony if need to be). Turtle Rest area in the pond meant, you did not have to go anywhere to see Hawaiian green sea turtles. Many fishes in the pond itself for snorkeling (after a great morning of surfing, hiking or other activities). Awesome scenic views, whales playing in the water, Sunsets, all from the balcony. I recommend this place, an amazing condo.

This place is amazing. Hands down the very best VRBO we have stayed in. The unit: Extremely clean. Updated. Fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, snorkel gear. The best place to watch the sunset is from the lanai. Every night I needed to be back by sunset because it was an amazing view. The property: Well maintained. BBQ grills were immaculate, plenty of parking, on site restaurant that will do to-go orders in case you don't feel like cooking dinner or going somewhere. Easy access to grocery and restaurants yet not too close to hustle and bustle of being around the restaurants. You can walk north on the beach 1.4 miles. I didn't walk south but it looked to be about the same distance. Turtles come to shore to sleep next door. The owners: Excellent communication before and during our trip. Airline changed our flight significantly on us and they were very accommodating to the change. Offered suggestions on beaches and restaurants. Could contact anytime we had questions. When we return, we will book this unit again!

Property was very clean and well maintained. Complete with everything you need for your home away from home vacation. Great location being right next to the beach for swimming and snorkelling and walks on the beach. The pool was wonderful. But best of all was the awesome views with sunsets that never disappoint. Definitely would return and recommend. Also located with easy access to drive or take a bus to shopping and restaurants and other beach destinations.

Dave and Toshiko were wonderful hosts. They were always easy to get ahold of and they sent us updated snorkeling reports for the surrounding area in the morning. This location gave us a beautiful sunset every day and there is also a turtle resting spot on the beach. Can't beat enjoying a coffee and watching huge turtles wake up! We were very close to stores and only a 5-10 min drive from other beaches further down south. Quick 20-25 min drive to the airport made coming and going a breeze as well. Would certainly recommend this location to any couple looking to relax!

We loved our stay in Kihei. The views were amazing. The property was clean and provided all that we needed. My kids loved the beach and shuffleboard! The owners were super helpful and communicated throughout the whole process.

Dave’s place was amazing! The pictures do not do the views justice. It was awesome to sit outside and watch the sunsets each night. The condo is located in a great location too, easy to get to all the best beaches and restaurants. The condo was very clean and had all the beach stuff you could ever need. Dave was really easy to work with as well, he communicated well and gave us great recommendations of places to visit while we were on the island. I cannot recommend this place enough, book it now!

This condo is a little slice of heaven in paradise. It is recently updated and is very nice inside. The patio overlooks the ocean and is very peaceful. Communication with owners was the best we have ever had with a rental property. Would recommend renting this unit without hesitation.

I have used VRBO several times previously but have never felt compelled to leave a review (just me). I thought it was warranted this time. This beautiful oasis was clean when we arrived and was exactly as described. The check-in process was smooth. Dave is a great host. Perfect location with the best view of any place I have ever stayed, ever. I would highly recommend and am looking forward to having a chance to stay there again. It was our Honeymoon and the condo was beautiful and Dave and Toshiko would check in with us making sure we had all we needed and to give us a snorkeling report. The condo was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The view from the lanai was breathtaking! It was absolutely perfect! We will definitely be back!

Love the condo and location. Don’t know if it is VRBO or the owner that expects over half of rent on the condo when you book. This is totally unacceptable for those of us booking way far ahead and hard for the renter to come up with. We won’t use VRBO again if that is your policy.
