The property couldn't be better situated as it is near a coastal trail to signal Hill and also a short walk to downtown. A well maintained property with all amenities. We loved our stay.

Beautiful views and great location (especially if you are a walker or hiker). Well stocked for 5 adults and 2 kids. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to book again.

The house is just has shown or even better. Great location. Walked the trails right outside our door, walked to George street and Quidi Vidi. Highly recommend

What a perfect home for our family vacation! With 7 of us we had more then enough space and areas to sit and chat, cook and enjoy our time together. We spent most evenings up in the loft enjoying the spectacular views! The roof top balcony was one of the best spots. Location perfect for walking to many restaurants, sight seeing locations. We would recommend for any family, group of friends, etc. Fantastic time by all.

Our family (all adults) stayed at Caribou Cottage for 5 nights, and loved it! We spent many hours on the harbour view 'rooftop' patio, or indoor sun room. The location is fantastic for walking to the nearby shops and entertainment, or walking to the nearby trails. The main level kitchen, living and dining room are all comfortable and functional. Rochelle and the management team were extremely responsive- we were very impressed! Thanks for helping to make our family vacation in Newfoundland extraordinary!

Just what we were looking for in support of an East Coast Trail run for four friends. All four rooms and beds great. Everything we needed. Would choose again in a heartbeat.

We stayed in early September. The place has tons of character and the location couldnt be beat. We did several hikes from the front door and it wasnt a bad walk to the restaurants and bars. My only suggestion for the owners and future renters is that the key box is opposite the door under the rail, maybe it was because we arrived so late but it took us a while to find it. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Caribou Cottage. Comfy beds, full kitchen, and close to everything. The upper living room was our favourite spot to view the harbor and chill.

The Caribou Cottage is the place to stay if you want a location close to town, to hiking trails, and with the best view of the harbor in St. John’s. The cottage was very clean and cozy! You will find all you need for cooking and dining in the kitchen, and the bathrooms and bedrooms have all the amenities of a hotel. But if you are like us, you will spend every extra moment on the third floor loft and on the deck overlooking the harbor. What views! We had a most memorable mother/daughters trip. Rochelle’s list of things to see and do was plenty for our five days, though I recommend adding the fabulous picnic lunch at the Ferryland lighthouse (an hour drive). You can walk to town and hike to Signal Hill from the cottage if you are active. The cottage is on three floors and has lots of stairs and you will have to carry luggage to the second floor bedrooms. This is not a negative as long as you are physically able, because you simply must spend time in the loft! We didn’t have any issues during our stay, other than I haven’t parallel parked a car in ages. So my daughters were constant spotters! And we can attest that the cottage is solid, as it survived the high wind gusts of Hurricane Dorian on Saturday night. I will come back and stay in the Caribou Cottage if I ever have another opportunity! Thanks Rochelle for a great VRBO experience. We will never forget our time there.

Everything advertised was accurate. Caribou Cottage has all the comforts of home, clean, great sitting areas with beautiful views, in a beautiful historic area. Stepping out the front door for a short 10 min walk approaching Signal Hill was an amazing discovery! We had an issue with the fridge that was quickly resolved. Rochelle, our host, was amazing, in that she responded to any need we had right away. We were a party of 8 and had all the space in the world. Loved our stay! Highly recommend.

Clean, roomy, well maintained, well stocked with everything a traveler needs. Wonderful view of the harbour, clos to downtown - easily walkable property manager and owner accessible and responsive to calls and emails. Could not have been a better experience. simply wonderful.

Four friends coming to NL to hike spent 4 nights in the gorgeous, comfy & cozy cottage. Everything one needs is provided & more. Beds were comfy, bathrooms & kitchen very well stocked & clean. And the views - ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC....loved our stay.

House is easy superb. View unbeatable. Excellent location to walk everywhere in St John's. including back trail to Signal Hill and Quidi Vidi,The ROOMS museum, downtown restos. Well appointed kitchen, casual furnishing, comfy beds and had the weather allowed a great deck up top for relaxing and viewing. The view and activity on the harbour front is fascinating, entertaining and a learning experience as one can google each of the ships and learn what they carry, country of origin and their tasks. So glad we booked this house.

This home is the perfect place for a reunion. It's much larger than it looks online, the kitchen is very well equipped and the window over the sink looking at the rock face is gorgeous in the daytime and when it's lit up in the evening. Bedrooms were of generous size and very comfortable. The sitting room on the top with a big deck was, of course, our favourite place for morning coffee and evening cocktails. The location was perfect for hiking, shopping and visits to downtown.

We were delighted with the house. It was comfortable, well stocked and clean. The location is excellent, it is an easy walk to St. Johns and to many scenic trails. The views from the 3rd floor are wonderful during the day as well as at night. We recommend it highly.

There were 6 adults and one child and we were never crowded. The house was fully equipped with a great kitchen. The location was perfect, quick access to downtown and beyond. The view from the “crows nest” and upper deck were nothing short of spectacular! You will not be disappointed in this property.

Plenty of space for our party of 6. Outside deck is a real bonus. Parking is tight but we had a very large vehicle. House was very clean. Would definitely recommend this property.

We enjoyed our stay here. The home is clean and well provisioned. Beds were ok, but updating with new mattresses and box springs would add more comfort. The home is perfectly located right on the Signal Hill hiking route, and it’s an easy walk to downtown.

Our extended family and some friends traveled to St. John's for my oldest son's wedding. The cottage was minutes away from downtown. In fact you could walk there. You could also easily access other hiking trails which led to great views. The house was as described-very clean, stocked with various items used for daily needs. Beds were comfortable, plenty of room for the storage of luggage and the lower level which is a combined kitchen, dining room and living room worked excellently for our group. The weather even in April was quite chilly but the home is well insulated and we remained warm. the view of the harbor area was excellent, especially from the uppermost room, which was a great room to hang out in with refrigerator, outdoor deck and comfortable furniture. I want to mention three things about the cottage to those considering travelling to St. John's. 1. Stairs- If I remember correctly, to go from the street level to the top room of the house there are 40 stairs. This is how many of the homes in St. John's are built. My son's home and his now wife's home are the same way. Be ready for some exercise. 2. Parking for vehicles is limited. You have basically one spot. 3. The harbor is an industrial port. There is a certain romance in that with the large ships coming in but there are lights on at night and certain horns sounding at times. I WANT TO BE CLEAR. THESE ARE NOT DEFECTS IN THE PROPERTY! I would stay there again if traveling to St. John's. They are just some things to help you plan for your stay at Cliffside Cottage. It was exactly what we needed for our vacation.

All the little things that we would need were there. One of the best accommodations we have ever encountered. Had some trouble with locks at outset. It would be good to mention that there are two locks on front door.
