First - the host - Mr. Marc - I cannot say enough about his hospitality and kindness. A true gentleman. Marc met us at the train station, transported us to the property, and gave us a thorough tour. There was fresh fruit and some lovely beer waiting for us. Further, when we had a small need, Marc and his wife responded in the most generous way. Next - the property. It is even better than the pictures! It is warm and lovely, and very spacious. The patio is magic. Last - the location. In my view, the location is ideal. It is a very short walk to the city center, and to many of the more interesting sights, Belgian beer bars, and nice restaurants. When we return to Bruges, there is no doubt, we will stay here. We loved the penthouse! It has so much character, lots of space, and was very relaxing after a day of exploring Bruges. Marc, our host, is kind and gracious, and gave us a lot of information about Bruges, not to mention a bowl of fruit and some beer. He even picked us up from the train station and brought us back at the end of our stay. Truly a top host! I would love to stay here again.

We lucked out with this accommodation. Marc, the host was above and beyond phenomenal. He picked us up from the train station, and helped carry our baggage on foot through the city to another hotel when we checked out. Whatever we could’ve thought to need was provided, guide books, maps, bicycles. We appreciated having the ability to do laundry on site, which saved us room packing. Also utilized the kitchen and cooked a few meals in to save money. The unique layout, stained glass windows, antique furniture, and modern lofted hallway were absolutely gorgeous. The views in any direction from the patio were stunning. You can see the Belfry from the patio. Speaking of the Belfry, you’re conveniently located about a block-and-a-half off The Markt, the main square and central hub of the city. 100% would recommend, and would stay again!

Property was so central of everything in Bruges, was very spacious and full of character. Hosts were incredibly helpful. We loved this stay and hope to be back in future!

This property is excellent and Marc is a fantastic host who I cannot recommend highly enough. The apartment is equipped with everything you could possible need, including the spacious garage and the location in the centre of Bruges was perfect. It was hotter than expected for the time of year but there were plenty of high quality fans to help keep us cool. We like to visit Bruges regularly and this will definitely be our preferred destination. Thank you Marc for a lovely visit.

We had a wonderful time staying at Marc’s penthouse apartment in Bruges! There were 5 of us (2 adults and 3 kids aged 13, 14 & 17) and we couldn’t had asked for a better place to stay, it was perfect! I was skeptical about whether the reviews were too good to be true, but am happy to report that the apartment (and Marc as well!) definitely deserves its 5 star status. We couldn’t have asked for a better location, it was just a short stroll to the main square which meant we spent a lot more time in the middle of the city (especially when it was quieter in the evenings) because it was so close. The parking spot was invaluable! It meant that we could do several side trips and not have to worry about finding parking for the car. Marc was so friendly and went out of his way to give us information about the city (even sending brochures all the way to Australia). Nothing went wrong while we were there, but I knew that he wasn’t far in the event we needed some help. We will always have wonderful memories of our time in Bruges, especially playing cards on the deck overlooking all the beautiful buildings until the sun set at 10:30pm. I hope to one day come back to Bruges and stay in Marc’s amazing apartment

Fabulous host who went above and beyond to help us. The property has everything you need and is in a perfect location. A mountain of bikes to choose from to borrow to explore the area. A must for anyone looking to stay in Bruges.

Marc has done a beautiful job on this apartment! It is a cozy spot in the center for Bruges. The decorating was absolutely beautiful and comfortably fit three adults and two kids! Marc even left us with some local beer and chocolate that was delicious. He offered many insights into where to visit and what to see. We would rate this beyond five stars! We look forward to returning!

My wife, daughter, and I stayed in three VRBOs in three cities during our Europe trip, and this one was by far our favorite. The penthouse is beautiful inside and well furnished. It has modern conveniences while feeling very classic. It's spacious and has a really nice back deck to lounge, have a beer, look at the skyline, and listen to the sounds of the village. Marc was a wonderful host. He insisted on hauling our very heavy bags up three flights of stairs by himself. He spent a lot of time going over the features of the apartment, talking about things to do in town, and reviewing Belgian beers. He had a selection of three different Belgian beers in the fridge with the appropriate glass set out for each. Europe is in another summer heatwave and like most residences in Bruges this apartment does not have AC. But Marc provided multiple fans as well as plug-in mosquito repellent devices to help us be comfortable. With these we were able to cool down the house quite a bit at bed time and sleep comfortably. The apartment is steps away from the main square and you can walk from it to anything you want to see in town. I highly recommend Marc's penthouse.

Great location well setup and most of all - a great host. Marc met us at the Rail Station, explained the main attractions of Bruges. We would stay here again and recommend this accommodation. to family and friends.

Marc is a wonderful host. He offered to pick us up and drop us off at the train station and once we experienced some of the Bruge bus system we understood his gracious offer. He has obviously been doing this for some time as the place was fully equipped and his welcome was a big relief after a long travel day. The accommodation is centrally located to the main square, it is oozing with character and atmosphere and is a unique home away from home with a large bedroom upstairs, king size bed and bathroom. The downstairs is one large living dining and kitchen with a rooftop deck to enjoy. We can't say enough about how wonderful the home is, and how Marc seemed to know exactly what we would need. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an unusual, but comfortable place in Bruges.

The accommodation is a beautiful rooftop apartment with a terrace. It is well situated in the heart of Bruges. Everything we required was in the apartment and Marc was very accommodating. Loved our stay and would highly recommend.

The apartment is in a wonderful location very near to the Market but also very quiet. Bruges is very beautiful, this our 4th visit. We enjoyed a tour of the De Halve Maan brewery and a trip to Ypres. There are many places to enjoy a drink and food. I can recommend Jerrys Cigar Bar for a coffee and beer. Its a quiet oasis in the centre.

What’s not to like can’t wait to return

We had the best time in Brugge and our trip was very much enhanced by staying in the beautiful penthouse apartment! Marc was so knowledgeable and was very accommodating. Very spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. Can’t wait to come back again some day!

Spacious, comfortable rooms. Located near the center providing easy access to the center. Marc, the host, provided a brief orientation to the property and the location in the city. Off street, garage parking was a huge plus. We had a wonderful stay.

There was a nice big bowl of fruit, some beer and chocolates in the apartment for our enjoyment. Marc thinks of everything. The location of the property is ideal for exploring Bruges as it is so close to the main square. If I'm ever back in Bruges, I would definitely stay in Marc's apartment again!

As VRBO hosts ourselves, we are acutely aware of what constitutes excellence in properties and managers. This beautiful dwelling, which is both charming and efficient, lacks for nothing. And Marc himself could not be a more gracious and helpful person to deal with. We give it six stars!

I stayed 6 nights with my family of four - with two young children. The location is perfect, the property is beautiful traditional flemish style nicely furnished, the balcony is a real treat. Everything is clean, not lacking anything and all round homely. The best part? The host Marc and his wife made us feel so welcome and looked after - really couldn't do enough to explain everything, provide information on local interest and go out of their way to make our holiday including directing us to a great chocolate shop and then beer warehouse out of town so that we can keep enjoying a piece of belgium long after we arrived home. Our four night stay at the Penthouse could not have been better! Clean and spacious with plenty of room for four adults to relax and enjoy a delicious Belgian beer! The historic city center with it's Belfort, shops. and restaurants was only a short walk away. The owner Marc and his wife were excellent hosts. They eagerly answered any question that we had and never failed to point us in the right direction. I would definitely stay here again!

This apartment is lovely. The photos are extremely modest. You are in the centre of Brugge with inclusive parking. When you step out of the front gate you can see the Belfry. The terrace is extremely spacious and the apartment itself is massive. Aside from the apartment, Marc and his wife are lovely. They provided all the best spots in town, provided fruit, chocolate and a few beers on arrival. When I return, I wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment again.

Great property in a great city, with a great host and a great location There is absolutely nothing we didn’t like. Marc was superb, the apartment was extremely large and well appointed and it was wonderfully warm The Belgian beers ( with the right glasses) was a welcome touch, as was the Christmas tree. There was plenty of space for 5 of us and the ‘ free’ parking just added to the ease of the stay If your looking for somewhere to stay in Brugge , then you’ve found it.

I have to say for all the countries and vacation rentals I've visited, this was one of the top. Marc not only picked us up from the train station but introduced as to his beautiful apartment just steps from the main Square. He gave us an introduction to beer and how important it was to serve it the correct glass. In addition, a large library of local reference material and great tips on the area. The apartment was charming and well appointed. Every detail was thought of. We will be back for sure to spend some time with Marc and his lovely wife but most of all to enjoy the accommodations and beautiful Bruges. They are top notch hosts and would recommend them to everyone visiting Bruges.

Characterful penthouse apartment in perfect location in Bruges. 4 minute walk to the main square and the Belfort . Host ,Marc, was extremely helpful and all instructions were clear and easy to follow. Parking in the private garage close to the property was well organised and very convenient. Penthouse apartment was lovely , very charming and had everything necessary for a wonderful stay. So much to do and see in Bruges and all within a compact area. Recommend getting a 3 day museum pass [either online or at the tourist offices]- all of them are worth a visit. A climb up the Belfort is a must [book time slot in advance ] ,and a Canal boat trip is well worth it. We stayed for 4 nights and could easily have stayed longer. Highly recommend this Penthouse apartment and also thanks to Marc for his kindness and consideration.

Fab place to stay with plenty of room and quirky character. Brill location to main square. Lovely and warm, host had thought to provide most things (+ few nice extras) and felt like home from home, even a lovely Xmas tree was up in the lounge/dining area. Two wash rooms as such, but only small negative was only one WC but didn't prove much problem with us as we are a family. The owner was excellent, from booking to staying and went above and beyond with accommodating our requests. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you Marc (+ wife).

We loved Bruges and Marc was an unbelievable host. He picked my husband and I up from the train and brought us to the apartment. He had fresh fruit, drinks and chocolates for us. The apartment was very clean. The only negative I can say is that the towels were very scratchy. Other than that, everything was perfect!

Could not ask for a better place in Bruges! The location was amazing, owners so so nice, car parking very convenient, and it was one of the most charming accommodations I have ever stayed in. Would highly recommend.
