Location was very good, facilities were very good, the house was spacious and clean, the driveway was excellent. the sitting room was equipped with excellent furniture and electric appliance, the WiFi was great and having two toilets was very handy. The agent was helpful and friendly to resolve a bathroom issue although it was no resolved.

The bathroom is not Muslim friendly, there is no shower extension and the shower head itself is old where you cannot find extension for it, the bath Panel was coming away from the bath, there is no shower rack, the whole bathroom needs updated. The other annoying issue is the house rules, when booking the house it was mentioned no smoking allowed in the house which is understandable, but when arrived the rules stated that no smoking allowed in the garden or the drive way and £100 fine if you do not comply, that is extreme, smoker in a holiday would like to sit in the garden and relax with a cigarette, in my case I am not a smoker and my wife is a light smoker, so the rules did not affected us much, however seeing my wife smoking on the pavement or across the road was very annoying to me, if there are such rules it should be stated in the advert, so that people can decide to book or not.

Perfect location for our short stay while visiting relatives. Short walk to sea front and the Common. Ample off-street parking. Plenty of decent restaurants about (Guiseppe's Italian is less than 5 mins walk).

Only negative was that the shower thermostat needs looking at to increase the temperature.

Bayfields is in a perfect location to explore Portsmouth. It's easy to get to by car with a private parking space. The accommodation is spacious and very homely with a fully equipped kitchen including a dishwasher and fridge freezer. Located just off the seafront in Southsea, there is a small shopping area with shops and restaurants a 5 minute walk away. Portsmouth's main shopping centre, the Historic Dockyard and Gunwharf Quays are all about 25/30 minutes away on foot. We mainly used Bayfields as a base to visit the amazing Historic Dockyard with an Ultimate Explorer Ticket. The only slight downside is that, after spending a day walking round the Dockyard, the 25/30 minute walk home can feel like a bit of a long trek - especially on the 3rd day of visiting. But overall, Bayfields was a great place to stay with everything we needed for a perfect holiday. We definitely look forward to staying at there again.

The shower didn't have much 'spray' and it was difficult to control the temperature.

Excellent location, easy parking and easy check in. The garden is nice to sit out in and the beds are comfy.

As others have said it's quite dated inside, could do with a refresh. That being said it's good value for money.

The house was fantastic, spacious wonderful rooms. Great location bus at the end of the road. The ladies who look after the house were Absolutely marvellous. We would like to stay there again.

There was nothing we didn't like about the place. Even all the stairs was novel to go up.

Spacious with free parking. Milk in the fridge on arrival was a thoughtful and welcome touch

The house was in a great location, didn't need to use the car all week. The house was clean and tidy and well equipped. The hosts Charlotte and Magda were very helpful and sorted our problem with the WiFi within 10 minutes. We would definitely come and stay again.

There really wasn't anything to dislike. The only thing I would warn fellow travellers about is that this lovely property is built overs 3 floors. Our legs really did get a work-out!

Well positioned, able to walk into historic Portsmouth . Parking on site a bonus for the area. Comfortable beds. Spacious property. Kitchen seemed well equipped although we didn’t use it.

Spacious town house, good facilities, great location, clean, plenty of towels, bedding etc. The communications with the hosts.

Cupboard in lounge needs clearing out. No books and old and mixed up games and jigsaws. Bit weird having a locked bedroom. These are tiny tiny things so overall was great!

I would suggest putting the double bed in the smaller bedroom and the singles in the large bedroom.

Could have been more kitchen facilities and kitchen cupboards and equipment could have been cleaner.

All the rooms were very spacious, large lounge, the kitchen had everything you needed, loads of wardrobe/drawers. A hand rail in the bathroom would have been a help. The close proximity to the restaurants
