Had a great time at the pond, with the dock and Zipline. Kids had a great time! Was a really great space for all of us friends who have kids.

Stayed here for 5 days and we didn't have any issues. Tom was very easy to contact if needed and came out promptly to adjust the zipline when asked. He gave some great recommendations for local restaurants as well.

Tom’s cabin is perfect for a group of friends. The grill is great to cook on and there are enough bathrooms for a larger group. The beach is fun to relax on and have a nighttime bonfire. It’s not the most updated or modern, but it has good bones. Overall we would recommend for a friends getaway!

We were in the area for a wedding and needed a place that could hold a medium sized group of people. This place did not disappoint! Tom was great with communication and was very helpful.

We were there long enough to shower, sleep and leave. Only 1 pinball machine worked while there; coins stuck in others. Communication was not the best, but worked it out in the end.

Went to pick up our daughter from SIU and enjoyed the water and private beach. Kids had fun on the zip line and our dogged loved playing in the water.

This was about 6-7 min drive from the strip. Good place to stay for our group of 9.

Wow. I was traveling to SIU for a state science fair with my child and a few other other families. 10 of us total stayed in the house. The kids had THE best time on the zip line and canoes while the adults looked on from the spacious deck above. An evening at the fire pit plus a kids area in the basement made for a pleasant time. A true cabin like experience with none of the city slicker frills. It was perfect and the kids loved it. Thank you Tom!

Great site for our family wine trip. Convenient check in. The turn off for the cabin wasn't marked and quarters are needed for the games in the basement. Note, that it's right across the road from a track and trains went by twice (day and night) while we were there.

When looking for location to stay I made sure I asked permission for early check in due to driving 16hr through the night. Property owner stated, "yes absolutely no problem." We arrive at 0700 and there are people in the cabin. I have 7adults and 5children(4mths-7yrs). I csll the owner he states mistakes happen and we can go over to a one bedroom cabin to change and shower but own cabin will not be available until 1:30. He was rude to me questioning me about my reservation and I stated our conversation on the app. He said yes he understood but things happen and we can go freshen up at the small cabin. Hr then talked to my husband in a total different tone. We arrived at 240pm and the cleaning lady was still at the cabin. We stated to her we are having 55 people arriving tomorrow and not surr where to park she stated no one will be at the other cabins and you can use parking over there. I stated thank you. When we went in the house the pinball machines had notes on them stating $.25 which is not enclosed in the reservation. Cigarettes butts and trash outside on deck and grounds. The clean up sheets states you will be charged for trash and cigarette butts. None of us smoke so that would have been a charge on us that we don't even apply to us. picked up three bags of trash outside the grounds when we arrived. The outside is unsafe. The dock stairs and deck are safety hazards. There is a old boat,chairs,metal,and other large objects on the grounds in piles. The inside is nice and true to pictures on site. We asked permission prior to arrival to have a family gathering on the next day which we were given permission. When family arrived I received a phone call from owner telling me we have a huge problem stating I registered under a false name and I didn't have permission for the family gathering. I stated I emailed permission and was granted full permission and your cleaning lady told us where to park cars. He was extremely rude and hateful to me. When I stated I have email confirmation on all events he said send it to him. I told him everyone that was coming is here. He you never know people destroying the place and you need to look out . I said well my family will be gone by 6pm. We were departing at 3am so we needed to rest. He told several family members they need to make sure they moved there cars by 5pm. After I gave him proof of our conversation and with Martha he never said another word. I would not stay nor recommend this location to anyone

Very beautiful view and just a short distance from the college, shopping and restaurants.

The property was perfect for our family. We had a great time. Tom is a great host.

Came in from STL to spend the weekend here and had a blast! One thing to note is to bring sleeping masks if you want to sleep in! The upstairs bedrooms have skylights so it can get pretty bright in the morning. Otherwise, I have no complaints and really enjoyed my stay.

We stayed here with 5 adults, 2 dogs and our twin babies (4 months) It was lovely! Despite rainy weather, we swam, barbecued and had a ball. As some of the other reviews mentioned, sand makes its way into the home after spending time down by the water - but in my mind, that’s a small price to pay for having a beach to play on. When we checked in it was clean, so any issue of sand was 100% on us and we were able to sweep it up easily. There is also a shower under the deck to rinse off, 3 sets of washer/dryers (!!!) and multiple large bathrooms to shower off in. We loved the zip line, pond, woodsy aesthetic of the home and enjoyed meeting Tom, the owner. We will be back for sure! - the Wilsons/Freeman’s

We loved staying here and Tom made everything perfect! He was so kind and helpful. Our dogs loved swimming in the pond and playing in the sand. The zip line, pinball machines, boats, and fire pit were all so fun! We had a big crowd and we felt like there was plenty of space and bathrooms. Highly recommend everyone stay here! We will definitely come back. Thanks again!

Property is very peaceful! We swam every day almost ALL day! Water was great, sandy beach was a bonus! House was amazing washers and dryers on every floor and so many things were provided! Tom was a super friendly guy. We've all already talked about staying here again!

You are definitely paying for the outdoor experience here. The pond was incredible, as was the beach. The kids, dogs, and adults all enjoyed it equally. Luckily, the weather was beautiful so we did not spend much time inside. Thank you Tom!

We hosted my dads 80th birthday there. We had a blast. There is a lot of poison ivy around house, but pond and beach were great! We will stay again!

We rented this property over Memorial Day Weekend and had a blast. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and the zip line, beach, and pond were super fun to hang out on. The place also had a fire pit and grill that we were able to use. Highly recommend for a large group!

The place was nice and comfortable, we wished there was wifi but that wasnt worth complaining over. It was hard getting the limo there to pick us up - but other than that it was a nice stay!

It's a very nice place. Close to many places of interest. Although the place has a lot of wear and tear.

We enjoyed the beach and zipline a lot. On the rainy day we loved the pool table and pin ball machines. This place is everything we are looking for.

People who owned property were really nice. It was fun to feed fish and canoe on pond. Big enough for 5 so called grown upd lol and a 1 year old plus the 2 dogs. Walked every morning. Tried a fire at night but the weather did not allow. Would definitely do it again

Pictures on Vrbo are not same as when u show up. Owner does not maintain property at all. Weeds 4 feet high and poison ivy everywhere. My head board in my bedroom had half inch of dust on it. Such great potential this property has but not clean at all. Floors had sand everywhere when we arrived.
