The pool was wonderful and perfect for our family of 18. We have been coming to HHI for 25 years and have stayed in many beautiful homes. At this price point we were expecting a more updated house. The bathrooms were very small and all need renovated. Our shower head was only partially working. In the childrens bunk room there was food left on floor from previous tenant and food wrappers. The kitchen could have used more serving bowls, coffee cups, and a second dishwasher. We often had to run the dishwasher twice a day. It was a benefit to have the second refrigerator in the kitchen though. Overall we had a wonderful vacation but we have paid the same amount for more updated homes.

Great location and amenities! Nicely decorated, clean and property manager at Coastal Villas responded quickly when we had a few minor issues. Would definitely stay again!

Our extended family of 23 had not been together as a group in 7 years...we came from Texas, Georgia, New Jersey, Florida and South Carolina to celebrate Christmas 2020. We arrived a couple days before the holiday to settle in. Loved that the house was close to Harbor Town, shopping and dining....the split living areas was great for those that needed a bit of separation, large dining areas for our big group was perfect for our holiday dinners. We heated the pool and spa and it was money well spent. The pathway to the beach just outside the back door was great for both the kids and the grand parents. Beautiful views and sunsets daily. We had small children that went to bed early and because of the design of the house the noise from TV's and those playing cards and games traveled to the bedrooms and presented issues with the little ones trying to sleep. We are a family of chefs, lots of preparation and cooking, we found ourselves washing the dishes by hand after they had run through a 2 hour dishwasher cycle. Spending so much time hand washing dishes took away time from the fun of being together. I'd say that was the biggest issue and feel the appliances (dishwashers and washer/dryers) really need to be replaced. For the cost of the rental one would expect more updated appliances.

The home itself was perfect for our family and its proximity to South Beach Marina and the shops/restaurants was ideal. I highly recommend renting bikes. The rental company's service was remarkable, there responsiveness and attention to minor details made all the difference. We had a problem with the gas grill the first night and they replaced the entire unit by lunch the next day. We needed a break from 2020 and this home was perfect. Plenty of room and recently renovated, this is a great spot for multiple families and lots of kids.

We were able to use both the entire week. The outside area with fire pit were a great addition. Our young adults played games on the grass as well as the beach. Access to the beach was easy and we walked several times to the Salty Dog Cafe.

We were a family of 12 who all met at the beach for fall break. We had a great week! The house was perfect. Everyone who wanted their own bed had one. Lots of bathrooms! The kitchen was well stocked. So easy to cook in! Everything was clean and working. The two laundry rooms made laundry easy. We used the beach chairs in the closet instead of the ones we rented as they were much nicer. We did use the rental umbrellas though. The walk to the beach is shorter and easier than any condo we've ever stayed in. We took the bikes to the beach and had a blast. We paid to heat the hot tub and I highly suggest doing so. We really enjoyed it. Especially the little guys! We had planned to go out to eat several nights, but we all enjoyed eating out on the very large deck with super nice tables and chairs, that we ended up grilling out most nights. It was sooo nice to be able to bring our dog as he is part of the family. :). We just had a great time and are already talking about a return visit! You will not be disappointed in this house!!!

This was our third family vacation. The first in Hawaii, the 2nd in The Isle of Palms. 6 Brown Pelican was the best by far. This house exceeded all expectations!! Our entire group met here for all meals and visiting the beach. The two dining areas both inside and outside accommodated all 26 of us. The design/layout of the house was exceptional as we never felt crowded. The boardwalk to the beach was next to the house which made for easy walk to beach and also to take bikes to the beach. The property management company promptly responded to our few issues.
