The house, its location and lay-out is wonderful. The management is not. Several lights in the house were out (above the kitchen range, next to the couch and broken outlets in a main bedroom). We had purchased and paid for 5 days pool heating a month in advance of our arrival, but the pool heating was not on. We promptly let Vacasa know of this and the other issues by text and voicemail. The only response was that a team member had been alerted who will contact us shortly. We had not received any follow-up the next morning so we contacted them again with the same result. Nothing happened. We had to repeat that multiple times before the heat was turned on at the end of the 2nd day. In the course of our 2nd day one light bulb was replaced and finally at 5pm of the 2nd day someone came out to turn on pool heating. It took another day for the other bulbs and light fixture to be repaired. Vacasa did not volunteer to give a credit for their failure to turn on the pool heating prior to our arrival. We had to escalate our request for credit. Even then Vacasa would only give a 2-day credit, while the pool was not usable until our 4th day, leaving us 2 days to use it, but paying for 3 days. We had to escalate our request to corporate for Vacasa to do what was right. The house is wonderful, but at the rates charged we expected responsive and responsible management, as we have experienced in renting homes of this caliber over the last few decades, but not here.

The view was absolutely phenomenal! We loved the dog friendly house and nearness to the beach. The pool was beautiful too although we didn’t have it heated since it was cool in the evening.

Master bedroom & bath was so cozy. Had plenty of space & bathrooms. Loved the share boxes for beach stuff and the closeness to the beach

This house was breathtaking. We celebrated an 88th birthday of my uncle and all the guest were at awe! Everything was clean and equipped with two towels/wash clothes per bed, soap, toilet paper, paper towels and other things we needed. The notes in certain places were helpful in order to maintain the beauty of this home The ocean view and beach were breathtaking as well. The private pool, enormous balcony and EVERYTHING was amazing! Stores, shopping, restaurants, golfing and tours were all nearby. The town of Hilton Head was clean and great southern hospitality. My first time using Vacasa and will not be be my last. We all had an amazing time and would highly recommend this house to anyone!!

Exactly what we wanted - clean, quiet, spacious, comfortable, well equipped, well maintained, attractively furnished, fabulous views, and a 5 minutes walk to the beach. It doesn't get any better.

Beautiful property and a perfect location for watching the sun rise, hearing the ocean, and taking daily beach walks (dog friendly beach). Quiet street in spite of the proximity of stores and a highway. Kitchen had everything we needed, property manager was responsive and we would love to come back!

I really didn’t know how the house or the location would be but I really really say it’s such an amazing place it’s soo beautiful soo clean & such a beautiful view of the sea and we really didn’t feel like going back home! It’s such a dream home for anyone to stay infront of the ocean. Thankyou soo much we just love it my family n my kids love it soo much

The house and location were great. The beds need to be updated as some have seen better days. All TVs should be smart TVs. The kids wanted to do movie nights but the living TV could not accommodate Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. The pool and the beach were amazing. We are VERY familiar with HHI and enjoy our time there every year but the next door neighbor was a bit tricky in this house. There were 3 separate occasions she came out during the day...like 11-2pm and told us to be quiet. We had 4 children (between 3-8 years old) playing the in pool, not excessively noisy because we would tell them to quiet down if they were, so knowing she was so sensitive was a bit of an issue. I understand the noise limits of HHI but children playing in the pool should not cause us excessive stress as we were told the neighbor would call the police if she thought it was too noisy for her. That was the biggest downer as we felt like we had to keep telling the kids to be quiet to keep the neighbor happy. Other than that the house itself was good.

Our family loved our vacation. The house was well appointed, had a great pool and beautiful views of the ocean. Loved the quick access to the beach and proximity to shopping and restaurants. Really quiet neighborhood, too. So comfortable with a very nice layout.

We had such a wonderful time in this super fresh, clean home. The Views are amazing, It was wonderful to see the Beach framed Buck deer feed in the yard with the huge rabbits it was so picturesque. ! Love Love Love this place !

We had a wonderful vacation, location of this property is awesome. The home is beautiful! Kids loved the pool and we enjoyed seeing deer, rabbits, squirrels and variety of birds in the back yard! Beach is awesome! The only thing I could request is updated cookware,could use some pizza pans, and the keurig is still broke! But those are very minor compared to the overall Gorgeous home!

Views are incredible. Property not as clean upon arrival as last year. Lots of space for everyone.

Just so you know the microwave doesn’t work properly, there are three hair dryers in the downstairs king bedroom and only one little one works. We would recommend leaving at least one trash bag per day rented. Hopefully the box we bought can be left for the next group. Also, the “Finish” that is on the counter that you want in the rinse aid section is detergent so you basically have people putting in double detergent and no rinse aid. Other than those little recommendations everything g was fantastic!

Views of the beach are spectacular.

Great views and location on the North end of the Island. House was very nice. We had 7 adults and there was more than enough room. Property was clean and easy access to beach!

We loved the layout of the house with separate rooms with bathrooms for each family unit. The kitchen is spacious with a huge center island for buffet style family meals. The large table seated our whole family and our little toddlers loved going round and round the bench at the table! The beach access is a short easy walk on a smooth path to the sugar white sand. The area in the front of the house had a lot less people than just south of us. Our kids enjoyed the pool immensely and with the foot wash, hose and lots of beach chairs and toys available, we all relaxed on the beach. Great stay place for family gathering!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this gorgeous and well-appointed beachfront home. The property was so quiet and private and the pool was lovely. Would definitely rent again!

Had a fantastic time - the view and location were awesome.

My family loved the home and beach time everyday. We rode bikes, walked and ran the beach, and enjoyed dining out frequently. The house made it so easy to play in the kitchen and yet have quiet time watching the waves roll in while relaxing on the deck outside. Perfect location!

The living space was great with plenty of seating. The deck was awesome. The pool was well maintained and upgraded. A few improvements could be made. Light bulbs were out in the bathroom on the second floor adjoining the king bedroom. The mattress for the king bed 2nd floor definitely needs an upgrade. The whole bed shakes when you move in the bed.

We had a great time, the home was fantastic, right next to the beach, and we would gladly book again. Only recommendation to the property management is to consider more toilet paper and other essentials in the home. We ran out by day 3. If this were a budget rental I’d understand the need to control costs and leave that up to the renter but in high season this property goes for well over $12k for a weeks stay. I believe for luxury level properties, that providing a luxury experience will differentiate you from the other basic level property management companies. It’s the one thing hotels have always managed to learn that could be easily replicated. Make us feel valued so we want to come back!

Beautiful spacious family area. Large kitchen which was well equipped. Some of the bathrooms were very small. Upstairs bedroom with two full beds with one mattress which was unusable and the other extremely soft. The unusable one was tilted to the side and higher at the foot. This was reported to Vacasa office. Overall, very pleased with the house and would return.

Perfect location for my wife, two teenage sons, mother, and in-laws. The listing on VRBO is accurate and the property is excellent. We will rent again for sure.

We had a wonderful time with family at 12 Sand Dollar. Such a beautiful home, thrilling view, and just so much fun. We spent time with family for a beautiful week on Hilton Head. We were so impressed with Folly Field and doubly impressed with 12 Sand Dollar and Vacasa. We are looking forward to next year! Thanks!

The house was very spacious and clean. The upstairs bathrooms need updating however owners had a note on fridge that said that they hadn't owned that long and were in the process of updating. Warning to seniors (which we all were) there are a lot of stairs which make luggage and grocery transfers a task. The Vacasa reception people were extremely indifferent and unwelcoming. Not what you would expect from tourist oriented Hilton Head Island.

Beautiful view and nice layout for our group. Nicely furnished! Beautiful outdoor space! Unfortunately the pool heater didn’t work, so pool was not used.! Some kitchen items need upgrade, especially the knives, couldn’t cut anything. Overall a good experience, we would consider renting again!
