The hosts were amazing and so helpful! The house was beyond perfect! The location on the water was the best! The walk down is steep (and might need to be trimmed a little) but worth it and do able! (Even holding my baby) The view is amazing! The Sun room is great if you have a rainy day or need to get out of the Sun but still enjoy your time on the river! We had issues with the water heater and the host was so responsive and helpful. They made the experience even better! I was also very impressed with how clean the house was. I’ve stayed in a lot of rentals and the bigger they are the less clean the floors and whatnot are. Not here. It was spotless! Thank you for letting us stay! We hope to come back soon! (So sad we forgot to sign the guest book!) There’s so much I’m forgetting to add but the high chair, books, towels, shoes, toys, essentials in the kitchen were all amazing and something you never get with rentals!

The place was great! Very clean and an overall amazing trip. Beds were nice and comfy, stocked kitchen, and a great view. Only sad part was how low the river was but of course you can’t control Mother Nature. Hope to book again next year !

House was perfect! Wad able to see the water. The town is small but everyone was so friendly. Dollar General around the corner if you needed anything. Close to winery's and Fredericksburg. Owners are friendly and responsive. Want to stay here in the summer so we will be able to get in the water.

Great stay

Our son had a football game in Comfort so we (plus 2 other families) decided to rent a place and make a weekend of it. The main thing I was looking for was a house close to where we were playing and that was large enough to accommodate all of us. I found this one and saw it was on the Guadalupe River. We weren’t sure the weather would be nice enough but being close to the river was a plus! But y’all, this house is AWESOME! It’s roomy enough for 6 adults and 4 kids. Tim and Lori have stocked it with everything you need and more! The enclosed BACK PORCH is actually another room. There is a BEAUTIFUL view of the river❤️ Great access to the river, plus plenty of floats (pump to inflate them included), and beach towels. We also thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the hot tub overlooking the river. So relaxing hearing the movement of the water! I’ve read some of the reviews. While this home is close to the highway, none of us had any concerns with 4 children (aged 10 and under) outside playing ❤️ We will definitely go back and hopefully get to stay longer next time! My 9 year old said it was the best place we’ve ever stayed!

Beautiful, peaceful location! The house included everything we needed, from plenty of towels, linens, utensils, condiments, even Lysol spray. We have 3 teenagers and a pre-teen; we all had a blast!

this property is perfect for what we wanted. Nice part of the river where it is not congested and the house was perfect for us! Good floating to the house and kayaking to the 1350 Bridge made for a fun day!

The house was exceptionally clean and had everything you could imagine to include a little bit more. We truly enjoyed our stay there and the access to the river. The hot tub was very clean and inviting. We will definitely be booking this home again in the near future. Even though the house was close to the highway, you rarely heard traffic. We loved the handwritten note along with the breakfast sausage biscuits, coffee and orange drink. It made it that much more special.

Our family celebration was dampened due to a stomach bug but the lovely site and wonderful birds were greatly enjoyed. Our hosts were wonderful!

This is the 3rd time we have rented this property. The house is spacious and the bathrooms are updated. The view from the sun room and back deck is very serene. The steps down to the river make is so easy to spend time in the water. The only change I would suggest is to have some shade on the back deck.

Spacious home on the Guadalupe with nice views and really nice mowed grassy areas for kids to run around. Had a charcoal grill with charcoal, lighter fluid and matches. We grilled some awesome ribeyes! Tons of towels and beach towels plus a high chair for my grandson. Owner was very easy to work with. Thanks for such a well stocked vrbo! Cool A/C even on the sleeping porch.

Our group really enjoyed our stay. The house was great. It was equipped with everything we needed. Everyone enjoyed spending time down in the river. Best of all worlds. Shallow areas to sit and relax, good flow to do some tubing, and some deeper holes to swim or fish. Enjoyed the hot tub at night. Thank you Tim and Lori for a great stay. We will definitely be back!

Our family of 5 stayed here and it was a great set-up. The river is beautiful right out the back. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. Very clean and comfortable, had everything we needed.

Very nice big home. Big bedrooms, well appointed, great views from the back patio. Not much water flowing late July. We really just used it as a place to sleep people for a family reunion. The Owners left ice cream and sodas for floats. Not sure if that is typical or just because the water level was low, but nice touch. Would definitely rent again.

My family and I had such an awesome time at the Rio Bajo riverfront home this past weekend. This home was more than we expected...everything was provided from the linens, towels, dishes to coffee, games, and all the extras in bathrooms and bedrooms. The hot tub is an added form of relaxation. The river was a little low in some parts, but we walked a short distance and found plenty of water. We enjoyed every bit of our short get away from the city life and will definitely be back!!

This was our second stay at Rio Bajo. My family really loves the house. The sun room and back deck have a great view of the river and the surrounding hills, just beautiful. We will visit again.

This property was exactly what our family was looking for - close to the attractions (and wedding venue) that we wanted to see as well as a vacation spot in its own right. We enjoyed our day trips but the property provided its own entertainment.
