The house and waterfront are better than expected and so relaxing. Our favorite and most used feature was the floating swimming platform that could be pulled out further in the river. It was great!!

The Days Away House was a fabulous place to spend time with family. I will hopefully stay there again!!

We stayed in mid-March, so a little chilly for water play but we so enjoyed sitting by the firepit right on the water, under the trees. We relaxed and caught up and chatted with the ducks and geese who were very welcoming. The house is beautiful and the host is lovely. Thank you for a great weekend!

We had the best stay once again! This is our 2nd time to stay here. We come to the Texas Elite Gilt Show here to show our FFA projects and this is the best convenient place for us to stay! Better than any hotel you could stay at in this area! The outside area is our kids favorite thing about this beautiful place!

This is a beautiful property on the Guadalupe River. Close to Boerne, Comfort, Kerrville and Bandera. We spent our first day at Gruene Market days - a bit of a drive to the house - but Gruene is worth the visit. The Singing Water Vineyards are a must. Every evening we enjoyed sitting on the porch/balcony enjoying the view.

Quick trip to Kerville for one night - glad we found this place! Will definitely be back again. Owners were great!

Liked - "All you can burn" firewood. Liked - Jonathan's Netflix and Hulu account Didn't like - Communication - Wasted time on morning of travel confirming property instructions with VRBO call center Didn't like - Mattress pads were dirty. Housekeeping needs to wash ALL bed linens. Not just top sheets. DIdn't like - Smell - Faint smell of dead animal in wall or under floor. Owner attempted to cover it with plug-in air freshener. LIkely cause, owner uses rat bait poison.

Property was very nice, clean inside, no issues. Said it slept 8 but that was 3 beds and two bunk beds. Probably my mistake, just saw 8 and thought 8 beds. Property manager was very responsive, whatever you need she will assist in. She called before to tell me there was another cabin that slept 2 she would rent for $80 a night if needed. River was more of a pond, overgrown lillie pads and color was green. Trash and good amount of snakes floating in it as well. Across the river was a parking lot where groups of people gathered and did doughnuts with their cars each night. If you’re looking for meth, you can get it at the dollar general a few blocks away, plenty of addicts roaming about one asked if we were looking for “trouble” trying to sell dope. Mexican food spot down the road was excellent though. Wouldn’t take kids, ok place for group of friends if the water cleared and you’re good with being 40 mins from Fredericksburg and 45 from SA.

What a wonderful long weekend the house is very nice water was wonderful had a great time look forward to going back.

Very relaxing

Day's Away House was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed fishing, kayaking, swimming and just relaxing. Becky was excellent host and easy to communicate with.

Day's Away is the perfect getaway from the hustle of everyday life. The pictures represented the house perfectly and Becky was all you could ask for in a host. She communicated everything upfront and ahead of time and made the whole process simple. The kids loved the rope swing and kayaks and fishing off the dock. Great place to spend with family and getaway from screen time. We had a fabulous stay and will definitely be booking again next year. A+++++ all the way

My family has a yearly tradition where we get together to celebrate my dad's birthday. This year he turned 82! We definitely enjoyed our stay. Everyone has a wonderful time. House is just like pictures. We cook a lot and they had almost everything. Just need to bring your spices. If you have little ones bring life jackets. Teen boys enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. Got them away from the screens.

Becky was super quick to reply and answered any questions that we had.. the property is beautiful even though we're having a drought the water was still really nice because it was right next to the dam.. only problem I had is that I needed one more day to stay there! we're looking forward to staying there again in the future! A++

We loved our stay at Dayd Away. It is a great house in a beautiful location. We didn't lack anything. I'm already missing it!

The house was perfectly awesome. There was so much to do and very clean. Becky was a great host and very responsive and helpful. The small kiddos loved it and we will definitely be returning!

Very clean, spacious & the location on the river was perfect. Kids of all ages had a blast on the rope swing, slide & floating dock.

We have stayed here multiple times. Owner is available and very helpful. Water is always deep enough to swim, and they have their own rope swing. The floating dock is very entertaining for all ages. Houses are very comfortable, and the kitchen has everything you need. Great outdoor spaces- I do wish they had a pool ladder to make it easier to get in, but besides that it's perfect!

Our second time staying and the house gets better and better. Many nice improvement from our first trip 2 years ago. Of course, the backyard is the star of the show. My kids spent hours fishing, swimming, and bouncing on the trampoline. We also made sure to take the canoe out and watch the wildlife. Great place, will be back

Property is just as advertised. It is well kept and the yard and area by the river are beautiful. There are a lot of nice shade trees. Kids enjoyed the rope swing at the river, and used the paddle boards they brought. We did use one of the owners kayaks and their life preservers. It was nice to be able to sit on the upper deck/porch and watch what was going on at the river. We used the firepit and made S'Mores a couple of times. This was our second year to rent this property. It is a great place for the family to relax and have fun, and I am sure we will be going back.

Great property to have fun on the river. Canoes, Kayaks, Fire Pit, and most amazing floating dock to move into the river and hang out!

The property is gorgeous! It was perfect and so beautiful and relaxing. They have everything you could want by the river. We really enjoyed just chilling by the fire pit and river and feeding the ducks and relaxing. The dock is awesome and fun to hang out on. We didn't try the kayaks or canoe or slide or rope swing but they looked nice. The outdoor area is perfection!

Very pretty, great location

A beautiful property! We were able to grill, go kayaking, sit on the deck and paint pictures. The house was in excellent condition with all the amenities. We lacked for nothing. It was a great time. We hope to be back!!!
