Perfect quiet getaway. Beautiful property, town was lovely, but we mainly went to enjoy quiet time as a family at the property and it was perfect for that. It really had everything we needed & we hope to be back.

Stan’s place is absolutely wonderful! We came to the area to view the eclipse with our family from France, and were truly blown away by this beautiful spot. The setting is stunning, with beautiful open space along the river, wildlife, amazing wildflowers, and gorgeous scenery. The house itself is lovely-super spacious, very nicely remodeled, and very comfortable. The location is perfect for exploring the Hill Country-it’s an easy drive to Kerrville, Fredericksburg, and San Antonio. There’s a market just 6 minutes down the road. Most of all, Stan was an incredibly welcoming and gracious host, and provided farm fresh eggs and wine as a welcome gift. We hope to return someday soon!!

We came in town for a family wedding that was down the road in Center point and were excited to find this instead of dealing with a hotel. This is such a hidden gem and the pictures online do not do the house or the gorgeous property justice. The home has been beautifully remodeled. You can definitely see the care taken of the home and the grounds. After we got acquainted with the house we spent hours wandering around outside and down at the river. Our girls, who are 12 & 15, just roamed and enjoyed the out doors. They quickly requested to come back. The amenities in the house were great and all 6 of us were extremely comfortable. We received fresh eggs from their chickens which was really exciting to enjoy. Spring time is especially beautiful with the wildflowers in the front of the property and the back. Excellent communication with the owner/designee (Cruz). Thank you for sharing your lovely home and allowing us to travel with our 4-legged baby as well. We will be back!!!

Another wonderful escape at this gorgeous property! My daughters and I had such a great experience last year, we decided to stay again. The hosts are so gracious - especially appreciated being welcomed with fresh eggs from their adorable chickens! I can’t say enough about how much we enjoy starting our spring break here - I expect we’ll be back again next year!

Spring break for educators is important for recovery and Comfort Acres did just that! Our family with adult children and family dogs were extremely comfortable with the clean and secluded accommodations. Very inviting and welcoming hosts!

From first communication throughout our 6-day stay, the wonderful experience was memorable for all. I can’t imagine a better place for a family vacay. The house was so comfortable and beautifully decorated. We immediately felt at home. Deer are bountiful and allowed us to sit on the porch and watch them in their habitat. We even saw a couple of young fawns!

This is an amazing property. The house is nicely appointed and the grounds are immaculate we went for a family getaway and it was the perfect place to kick back and relax. Cruz, the property manager, was so helpful and answered all our questions and was there for anything we needed; they are blessed to have her.

This was the perfect spot for our family to celebrate my husband’s 40th birthday. We enjoyed the quiet, relaxing environment. The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything that we needed. We hope to come back in the fall!

This home is laid out nicely and very well kept. Loved the setting in the backyard. Although owner lives on property, house is far enough away and they were super respectful of our privacy. We were supposed to stay a week and extended 3 more days because we loved it so much. If you are looking for tranquility, this is your rental! Comfort is super cute town!

We enjoyed our relaxing girls weekend so much! Cruz met us and explained a few of the details of the home. We were left a bottle of wine to enjoy. We played one of the many games in the game cabinet. The party barn is really cute. We enjoyed sitting in the plastic chairs down in the water of the Guadalupe. Overall stay was fabulous! Would love to come back again.

We were actually unable to stay as we had a death in the family. I just wanted to say the through the whole process of booking the stay, through out the process, and then having to cancel at a short notice, the Host was very accommodating. They replied quickly to any questions that I had and were very kind.

I cannot say enough about this location! We went here for Thanksgiving and We’re so impressed with the property. The house is beautifully done and comfortable. It is well decorated and updated. The cleanliness was top-notch. The kitchen is well stocked. It even included cleaning supplies! The property is beautiful. We saw deer each morning roaming near the river. It is serene and beautiful. So incredibly relaxing. The owners were so accommodating and kind. The drive to Fredericksburg was a little over 20 minutes. It was beautiful for Christmas. Shopping was excellent. Everyone in the town was incredibly accommodating. We even traveled to Boerne For a Christmas block party which was fabulous. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful trip

The pictures do not do the property justice! It exceeded our expectations and was a wonderful stay! Everything was super clean. They provided dish tabs, laundry tabs, soap in the bathrooms and a bottle of wine upon arrival! There was a constant traffic of deer in the backyard that you could watch from the living room. The house was huge and had a horseshoe shaped layout which was amazing for our family because it allowed us to enjoy the kitchen and living room while our youngest child slept across the house for naps and bedtime without being disturbed. We would definitely like to come back if the owners will have us! :)

This house is absolutely amazing. We had a wedding in town and wanted a house we could hang out at during our down time and we could not of found a better home. It was extremely nice and had so much room. We were never even inside because of the outside area. This is a 5 star property and could not of been a better experience for us.

Such comfy beds!
We have rented many homes through VRBO, and one constant is always that the beds are never really that great. That all changed with staying at this house. Wow! The beds were so comfortable!

Pet and family friendly
The property itself is gorgeous and well maintained. Unfortunately we went when there hadn't been rain in over a month leaving the water on the property a little drained, but you can't fault the owner's for lack of rain! Would definitely recommend this property for folks that want to meet up and celebrate family/life events with its large party barn and great entertainment spaces. Will definitely keep this location in mind for future family retreats.

My husband & I stayed here for 2 nights with our group of teens to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. It was perfect! Clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed and more. Stan was very responsive to all of our needs. Would love to come back again!

Hill Country Getaway
We had the best time at Comfort Acres! This was the cleanest home that we have probably ever stayed in. Great location. We enjoyed eating lunch in Comfort, and it was an easy trip to Fredericksburg for shopping and Hunt for river fun. We enjoyed watching the wildlife every morning and evening from the back porch. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay here again.

House is solid, quiet, very nicely appointed. Plenty of space indoors & out for peace throughout the day. Kids loved playing in the river; husband fished along the banks. Would definitely recommend this spot!

Beautiful retreat
From the moment you pull through the gates you feel at home. This beautiful home has the best sunrises and sunsets! The views are awesome. We enjoyed watching the deer every morning and every evening ♥️ The home is decorated beautifully, the beds and linens made for a restful night’s sleep. The owner was so friendly and very responsive to any questions or needs. The location is pretty central to everything in the town. We will definitely book here again and recommend to everyone we know.

This was a perfect getaway. Our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer. Peaceful and quiet, come prepared and there is plenty to enjoy for the whole family without ever leaving.
