This is probably our 5th or 6th time staying at this property in the last 10 years. Great location in an ideal setting backing up to gorgeous mountain forest views. Owner is wonderful and has great communication. Well taken care of property. Has everything you need and more. Our kids 4 and 8 months loved our stay. Would definitely recommend to friends 10/10.

We wanted to be surrounded by wilderness and beauty and this place definitely delivered. There was great food nearby and Mount Hood right up the road for picture perfect scenery. We loved everything about this stay. The toilet handle was loose and needed care when using to ensure a flush was achieved and that the toilet didn’t run. Other than that, we had no issues. We would definitely stay here again and suggest anyone else to as well. There was a super easy binder with instructions from the owners on what they expected while we were there and what to do before we left. It was very helpful. We will always cherish the memories we made at this location.

The cabin is a sweet place, with nice touches. It has a great layout, making it comfortable for a weekend. We loved the hot tub and all the windows with views of the woods.

We have stayed in a lot of cabins. This figures among the best. First, the construction of the cabin. This one shows us how, for a given footprint, a cabin can be built and furnished to give a sense of spaciousness and coziness at the same time. The glass panes around kitchen is a genuinely great idea, giving you the view of the woods while cooking. The thoughtfulness doesn't end there. Deck with a covered portion and open area, a pine tree through the open area of the deck, strung tungsten lights around the deck, living room with pullout which is spacious (not just to get by), movie collection that can put Netflix streaming to shame, dining table which is a crafted slab of an old trunk including its cracks and rough edges polished to perfection, unique flooring, spacious shower with windows that give you a feeling of showering in the wilderness, yet with plenty privacy, and the best of all, sliding mirrors behind bathroom sink which doubles as window that opens out the woods while you brush in the morning. It brought back memories of being at my granny's backyard, but with modern amenities. The loft/mezzanine area is perfect for kids with a bed and a pullout sofa. Doors open to a balcony that gives you a feeling of being in a castle. The location is perfect for someone who would like to explore the Mt.Hood and Columbia River Gorge area. Although it is not far from civilization, it gives you the seclusion of being in the wilderness. A small path that goes over a dried up stream (perhaps it flows in spring), can lead you into moss covered dense pine forest that can limit your view to less than 20 feet. A hammock next to the deck, a hot-tub on the deck, a patio set and a dining set on the deck completes your needs and your wants of staying in a perfect cabin for a family vacation, set away from the daily hustle and bustle. Did I mention that you have a full laundry and a decently equipped kitchen with dish washer, fridge/freezer with icemaker, a waffle maker and such? You gotta stay here. Thank you, Susan and Scott, for having thoughtfully done this! Only improvements I can suggest are, have a few clothes hooks in the bedroom/loft and replace the waffle maker if you can. Had a slightly hard time getting waffles off it :) Perhaps keeping a oil spraycan helps. We felt guilty getting water from shower spray on those nice wooden wall finish in the shower.

This was our first trip to Oregon and this was a gem of a property, with serene lush green nature all around. The cabin was well stocked. We enjoyed farm animal shaped waffles maker. All the equipment was well maintained. The kids could watch Ice Age movie. Bedrooms are cozy. They had hooked up a hammock outside. Susan was very responsive. The scenic gorge just about 45 min to 1hour away and the route is beautiful.

Excellent deck and kitchen, great for a get-together with friends or family in all seasons.

I really enjoyed our stay. It was very nice and clean. The area is so calm and relaxing. All the needed amenities where there.

Me and my wife loved our experience here! It was really close to the Skibowl where we went on the alpine slide and various attractions. I was surprised at how close the cabin was to a store which ended up being very convenient. The river was right next to the cabin and it was beautiful. Overall an amazing experience and worth the stay.

The house was great! It felt like we were sitting right on the edge of the forest, and the windows captured that feeling. The kitchen was surprisingly large for the size of cabin, and was pretty well stocked (I couldn't find cooking oil, but that was all that we were missing). The hot tub was a real hit with the kids (I think they used it at least 3 times each day) and the hammock was a favorite as well. There was a slight musty smell to the house, which we quickly went 'nose blind' too, but couldn't seem to entirely get rid of, but it wasn't that much of a problem. The only downside is that the beds were FIRM (aka hard as a rock). I suggest investing in some good mattress toppers to make the beds more comfortable.

This cabin was amazing! I can't say enough on how much we enjoyed our stay from the pool to the hot tub it was a trip we won't forget. The location is perfect close to hiking trails and plenty of views of Mt Hood nearby.

Our stay was wonderful! The location was absolutely stunning and made for a relaxing getaway. We had six adults, so any longer than the 2 days we stayed there and it may have felt more cramped, but for a short trip with close friends it was enjoyable. There were a couple aspects of the house that seemed like maybe they hadn’t been used in a while so they were fairly dirty looking (ceiling fans) but other than that the house was relatively clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our trip!

We should start by letting you know that we just stayed at a awesome VRBO just the week prior so it was easy to draw comparisons and this property left us feeling a little let down. There were some little things such as Everything in the cabin was farely worn and some of the pans wouldn't wash cleanKnives were so dull you could barely use them Christmas decorations were still up and it's nearly JuneDeck clearly hadn't been swept all Winter, had to do a deep sweep and clean off the outside table before we could enjoy it. I know that the pine needles are inevitable but I wish someone took a little care to just clean it once before we came.Great internet but no way to watch Netflix or any other major streaming platform on the TV but they do have hundreds of pirated movies on a storage device connected to an ancient blu ray player. We could have moved past all these things I think but the thing that bothered us most were all the little passive aggressive notes all over the house. They clearly have had some bad renters in the past based on the cigarette burns on the outside furniture but still didn't come across well. Felt like I was being pestered by a Karen while we were there and did not make us feel at all welcome or at home. The view is lovely, the home is beautiful just wish they would have cleaned off deck knowing that guests were coming, join us in present day and download Netflix (honestly would have used my own account if Netflix were at least downloaded) and take down the passive aggressive notes. You already cover how you'll charge $200 if people break the rules in the three ring binder, you don't need the notes.

We had a great time at this beautiful cabin with so many unique, custom features. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! You're close to hiking, skiing, and all that Mt Hood has to offer, including the amenities of Zigzag. Coming back from our busy days to relax our muscles in the hot tub was great! It was the perfect home base for a relaxing week.

I returned to this cabin after bringing girlfriends in 2019. Now I shared it with my husband. It’s still great! Tons of room, cozy and good location.

Gorgeous view, safe and perfect size!

This place was so perfect to visit with young children. They had everything we needed to keep the kids comfortable and happy. You can tell this cabin in well-loved by the family that owns it. It's a little closer to the other cabins in the area than we expected, but it feels very private due to the direction it faces and the privacy wall they have built for the hot tub. We can't wait to come back in the summer and use the community pool!

Nice layout for small family. Kid friendly with toys/games. Hot tub, creek, hiking trails all right out the doors. We enjoyed our stay and are already talking about coming again.

Silver Cedars is a beautiful forested location on a creek with hiking along the Sandy River a walk from the cabin. Great place for kids and close to the mountain!

We stayed 3 days and celebrated our Thanksgiving Holiday at the cabin. They had everything we could have possibly needed. They literally thought of everything. The cabin was beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. If you are considering renting, do it!

The pictures do not disappoint, if you're looking for scenic privacy this is it. The cabin is perfect, tastefully decorated and the generosity of what the host leaves for use is above & beyond. I can't imagine a more picturesque location for a hot tub. We loved our stay and if possible will be back on the next trip!

Very functional rustic cabin in the woods. We definitely enjoyed the hot tub, and the proximity to the river, and town.

Appliances were noisy and old but functioned. We had to do laundry and dishes when we left for the day or night as the appliances were so loud. Frig froze everything on the top shelf and when we got there it was set to 3. We set it to 1 and the fruit on the top shelf still froze. Pool was closed. The cabin in general was nice and clean and the beds were great. The setting and hiking around the cabin was great. The hot tub was spectacular once we got the chemicals adjusted. It was a good base camp per se for our various trips. Thank you!

We had a amazing time in the cabin. Just perfect for our family!! It was clean and well stocked. We miss the cabin already!

Beautiful cabin facing the woods. The next door cabin is only visible from the front. The hot tub was perfect and private. We stayed on the bottom floor because the bathroom is on the main and I can't do stairs. But the bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would change is the option to cover the front door window. It looks straight to the back of the cabin and it weirded me out. We would definitely rent here again!
