Vidal and Sonia were great hosts! They picked us up at the port by motorbike, very nice trip around the island. The room has its own bathroom and toilet with hot water and they provide a heater for the night so we were not cold at all. They prepared lunch (quinoa soup and trout with rice and vegetables), diner (chicken with rice and vegetables) and breakfast (fried egg and pancakes) for 20 soles extra per meal per person which is extremely fair given that these were one of the best meals we had during our trip, home made by Sonia with fresh organic products.

The room was comfortable and well decorated, everything was spotless and I slept very well. Vidal and Sonia were the most fantastic hosts. The highlight for me was getting to know them and their home. Vidal helped with mototaxi transfers to the other side of the island and Sonia cooked some glorious meals. They also brought a portable heater in case I got cold. Amazing views. Truly a wonderful place - I would highly recommend.

Shower wasn't super hot but that didn't matter - it's not the main appeal of staying here.

Vidal and Sonja are great hosts: everything was perfect. They picked up us at the pier and served breakfast (included), lunch and dinner (35 soles p.p. total, should be explained in the description). They were really humble and nice. The room is big, simple, clean and looks brand new. Hot shower works fine. Advice to get there: go to pier in Puno and look for the “embarcación colectiva” (30S return + 8S island tax entry). Do not mention the name of the family, just the arrival pier (Puerto pueblo), because drivers use to ask for a percentage to hosts.

Food was fansastic, being two veggies wasn't an issue. Location was perfect and the family made us feel very welcome

A little more information before arrival that meals weren't included in the price and that there isn't anywhere else to eat other than with the family. It wasn't really an issue in the end as they were able to provide veggie food for us but we only just had enough cash to cover the meals

Very nice owner. Food so far ok. They carried even our baggage (about 2km from the harbour). We even could pay in US$. Hot shower, but could room.

We booked the bigger room, but got the smaller one. Huge noise because of house construction near by.
