Hotel was cosy, spacious room and nice restaurant area with good food. Nice location in Antwerp.

During our stay, the heating wasn’t working throughout. Room was different from advertised, more run-down than expected and no high-end toiletries as listed.

Great stay! Loved our quirky bedroom with the huge jacuzzi bathtub. So many amazing places to eat and drink nearby and the restaurant downstairs was nice for dinner and breakfast too. Location was perfect - we walked everywhere!

I liked the position of the hotel, the area offers a lot of spots for a good lunch, dinner and drink.

unfortunately the hotel did not warn us that the heating was not functioning and it was 3 degrees outside and a very low temperature inside. the heating was not functioning since 2 weeks as I was told later so it was not an emergency or a failure that has just happen that day and that the hotel could not solve I could hardly take a shower and during the night it was very cold. I was given an electric stove to warm the room up but you can imagine how long it takes to warm a 30m2 room with a small heater. it is not acceptable not to warn the guests when the reservation is done. I was offered 20% discount on the room price which in my opinion is too low. the stuff in the morning was not very kind, the people are too young to deal properly with the clients.

The focus is on the restaurant and less on the hotel We asked 2 separate beds which was not taken into account .The shower was complicated and deca coffee was not available. the breakfast starts at 8 am which is late for a weekday .

lovely design...good vibes.. love the coffee on ground...we had no reservation and all tables where booked but as a hotel guest you get priority and we sit outside for cocktails

there was no toothbrush at receptions as I forgot mine.. and I wanted to take a bubbel bath in the maaing GROENE bathtub with whirlpool.. but the device did not work.. unfortunently

We basically loved everything! It’s perfectly located, the interior is beautifully done without losing a homely feeling and it’s warmth. The staff is bubbly, friendly and inviting without being over-the-top. I wish we stayed a little bit longer because the terrace is a absolute gem to either start your day or gi for drinks in the evening. Staying at hotel Pilar is like a warm blanket and leaving is not a ‘goodbye’ but a ‘until next time’. And if you want to go back somewhere, for me, is always a perfect sign.

This was our second time at this hotel. It is a nice hotel with a really well thought through decor. The breakfast is good and the beds are comfortable. Location was perfect for us.

Our room had the smell of old/still standing water. We arrived late at the hotel because of my work and we had to go straight to the restaurant we had booked. We opened a door when we left but when we got back the smell was still there. When we checked out I told the person at the front desk about it and they made a note of it. Also the bathroom in our room looked like it could do with an update.

We loved the design of the room, the view on the museum and the spacious bathtub. The location in the city was excellent with many nice restaurants and pubs closely. The overall experience was great!

Perhaps breakfast could have been included in the price.

2 days in a row they played very loud music in the hotel restaurant below. This kept going till 2 am so if you are looking for a place to get some rest, I'd advise not to go here. We are very unsatisfied (and tired ;-))

Very comfortable bed and good shower. The room has a an amazing view and very well located, with many restaurants and bars nearby.

The bathroom was a bit disappointed. There was no bathtub, the sink didn’t have hot water and without a place to put the toiletries and hang towels near the shower. Lastly, towels were very small and thin.

Museum-quality art collection, fabulous breakfast, friendly staff, superbly designed room, good quality amenities and last but not least, the wooden bathtub
