羊蹄山がとても綺麗に見えて本当にすごく良かったです。
部屋が狭くて温度調整ができず暑かった。
食事と食堂がいまいちでした。激混みで食事の内容も後一歩。

Dinner & Breakfast Buffet have a well spread of Japanese, Chinese and Western choices. Rooms are adequate for our stay.
Having towels available for use in the Onsen will be good instead having to bring from our rooms. Car parking was not convenient as it is located away from the hotel in open area without designated lot

Room: Spacious and overall clean. However the mattress (we had the ryokan style room) had some stains on it which, we chose not to use in the end.
Dinner/breakfast was buffet style. When you arrive at the hotel you'd need to select a time slot for the meals and bring your meal tickets with you to the dining area. The spread was quite varied hence no need to worry that the food doesn't meet your tastes.
Onsen was big. There was a big indoor bath, 1 indoor cold water bath, and then 1 outdoor bath. Outdoor bath was really crowded at the time I went (around 10pm). There was also a Sauna room within the indoor area.
Location was good. Noboribetsu is a small area hence everything is easily accessible through walking.
Mattress: as stated, there were some stains on it.
Carpark: while it is big, if you arrive late, you might not be able to get a parking space!

Spacious room, Japanse ryokan feeling and matching facilities. The buffet was very nice, fresh made by chefs and catering towards different tastes. The location is excellent, nearby Jigukudani. The onsen had a bath/onsen inside and out, and a pleasant sauna. Staff spoke English.
Smell of smoking (in a non-smoking room?). The parking lot was accessible via a steep road with loose rocks (fear for car and luggage wheels).

The location is close to the station and there is a bus to Sapporo
I live in room 1053, there is machine noise 24 hours a day, and there is a strong smell of kitchen fumes entering the room after 5:00 every morning. I asked to change the room, but I was moved to 753 on the lower floor of the same room. I thought there would still be the same problem, so I didn't change. All in all, the room is uncomfortable

The bed/futon was very comfortable and the food selection was great. I love the outdoor and indoor onsen pools and the cold plunge pool as well. The location is great as it was across the road from the bus station and walking distance from shops and about 15 mins walk to Hells Valley.
The fact that it didn't allow people with tattoos to use its onsen facilities.

Strict Cut off time for breakfast at 9am is early.

Very extensive buffet spread at both dinner and breakfast (almost too extensive. I didn't know where to start!). Busy ryokan with lots of guests. It was baby/child-friendly with high chairs, baby-sized yukatas and child-sized yukatas. Close to all the attractions in the area. Range of drinks and shampoo spread at the onsen to choose from.

Wonderful place! Despite being a hotel with old facilities, it is a great place. The rooms are spacious and clean. The onsen is really spectacular with indoor and outdoor pools.
The food, we ended up bored by the repetition of the menu every day. The bathroom in the room, especially the shower, was very bad. The staff had serious problems communicating with us in english. Booking the bus back to Sapporo was torture.

The onsen was amazing, the food hall was filled with many delicious foods, the hotel room was a transiently Japanese low floor Tanami room and so beautiful! The futon were very comfortable and it was lovely that professionals came in the evening to set them up for us. I would love to stay here again and recommend this wonderful hotel!
Nothing, everything was fantastic.

Extensive buffet, good facilities and the futon mattresses were very comfortable.
Breakfast ends at 9am however from 8:30am they close the dining room so you can’t go in after that time- this is misleading.

Breakfast

Food, hot spring, room atmosphere were all nice. Location was also very good, but most hotels are all in the same area - walking distance to the geysers.
The restaurant staff responded differently to Japanese than for foreigners. I was stopped and questioned about the number written on my breakfast ticket, despite having a baby and 3-year-old next to me and despite having the reservation details being confirmed at check-in. Instead of speaking to me, he simply pointed to the number and held up his fingers "2" with a concerned, doubtful look on his face. I speak Japanese, but even so, he did not have to be so rude. When I went downstairs to confirm this, they told me that they wrote the proper number on the ticket, but when I returned to the restaurant, staff showed me the paper again and did not give any positive impression. It was so off-putting that I decided not to have breakfast.

Old hotel yet v well maintained. Hot spring inside the hotel. Toiletries is provided inside the hot spring including hair dryer. Jigokudani (地獄谷) or "Hell Valley Walking distance from hotel. Donan Bus terminal less than 5 minutes walk. Ninja village n others just few stop away. Bus drop off at JR noboribetsu station. Offer the little extras, Big run offer express bus to this hotel drop off (1000yen) from Sapporo. Do booked before hand. Super convenient. Hotel wifi really slow. Buffet spread is large. Large buffet spread but is the same every morning n evening. Was nice of them to give crab legs on our last night stay during dinners. Our bed was make ready when we got back to our room after dinner . Nice pyjamas provided.
Nothing if you are not fussy

A bit disappointed on the meals that served for dinner and breakfast. The room is too warm even we off the warmer

The hotel is opposite a bus terminal, tourist information centre and about 10min walk to Jigokudani (Hell Valley). Near scenic Oyunuma. Eateries, shops & convenient stores along the road in front of the hotel.
The hotel offers a good breakfast and dinner buffet in its big restaurant. The onsen facilities are good and well maintained.

old facility but it still works i suppose.

The hotel is located right across the bus terminal. We arrived around 1pm, so we managed to drop our bags before check-in time. We had booked a double room, but they gave us an upgrade to a suite on the top floor. It was amazing. We think it had to do with a large group of students staying that night... The onsen facilities were very nice and not too crowded before dinner (at check-in, staff recommended time slots for the onsen too).
Despite this large group staying, the restaurant service was also smooth. The hotel was very, very busy that day, and still, staff was very helpful and they were really nice to all of us. The buffet options were really good and staff was always restocking. They had a lot of people around to ensure everything was working.

The onsen is a real one and that's the main (if only one) asset to that place. There are 2 of them actually: a larger one inside and a smaller one outside. The lattest had my preference of course because the feeling of the small wind when you're in a very hot water is like no other...
This hotel is just like the whole city: hideous. Feels like China with these awful buildings, super large hotels, giant breakfast room. You're coming for one thing and none other: the onsen.

The food was excellent and plentiful, the bath was nice, and the staff were extremely helpful. We met our friend in Noboribetsu by chance, and we asked the staff if it would be ok for our friend to join us for dinner and a bath. Even though the hotel was not open for visitors (only overnight guests could use it), they went out of their way to accommodate us and let our friend join us for a really minimal fee. Thank you very much, kind Manseikaku staff!
This might just be personal preference because I have bad back, but the futon bed and pillow were way too hard for me. It was difficult to fall asleep.
Also, I was expecting the bath to be a bit bigger, but this is really not a big issue.

The onsen was fantastic, the water quality felt so good. The outside area was super relaxing. The breakfast buffet was phenomenal. The location is fantastic, right next to the bus stop and it's a nice walk through town to get to Jigokudani.
Really enjoyed it here, my only complaint would be that the heat setting in the room was either off or dry mouth-inducing inferno. This is probably the best value you'll find in Noboribetsu though!

The onsen experience was exceptional.
The Western style room had absolutely horrible smell, especially in the bathroom. Even though we booked non-smoking room, it smelled like people were smoking there since 1970s and they have never changed the bathroom or wallpapers since that time. The carpet was also really old and might have kept that terrible smell.
The breakfast was just decent and not very tasty.
They also had a very old ventilation system and it was not possible to open the window, because it had no mosquito net on it, so it was stuffy inside.
