Staff were friendly
The room was OK but very dated, facilities were OK but with the price charged you would expect top notch but it wasn't. The floor in the room creaked so badly if one person got up at night the other has zero chance of staying asleep. The area where the hot tub is located is collapsing, so when it rained a river of water flows directly into the entrance to the area making it unusable when it rains. All in all it was OK but twice the price it should be for what's on offer

Very nice hotel, great rooms with hot tubs, steam rooms, spa baths all very nice. Food was lovely and staff were brilliant. We really did enjoy our stay.
One thing bothered me.....I completley understand that one cannot smoke in a hotel room nowadays. On the booking.com advert it says rooms are smoke free, of course they are, we all know that. I booked a room specifically with an outdoor area because I (foolishly) thought my wife would be ok to smoke outdoors. I had to pay in full on booking and there was no way to cancel and get a refund, but it wasn't until I'd paid that I received the policy about the entire place being smoke free, even the car park. So, if one of you smokes you need to go and stand on the street. Kind of takes the edge of a nice romantic break. I understand that non-smokers couldn't care less about smokers, I guess the owner has never smoked. Despite this I have given 9/10 for our stay, I just wouldn't do it again.

I stayed here with my boyfriend at the weekend, and we had the best time here! Such a lovely little hotel with a lot of character but still with a luxurious feel. The staff (Charlie) were incredibly friendly and professional and nothing was a problem. The room was huge, well decorated and clean. We ate breakfast on a morning which was excellent too. The location of this hotel is perfect, just along road from Windermere so very easy to walk to and from! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others!
We both agreed we couldn’t fault this hotel at all!

The gent behind the desk was wonderful. Really nice and helpful, it was him who cooked us our evening meal and it was honestly delicious. Would visit again
The room had a memory foam mattress, I'm not a fan of memory foam so I didn't sleep great but having the steam room to use instead of sleeping was a pretty decent compromise

The room was lovely clean and spacious all the staff are very helpful and polite also made sure our stay was amazing. Breakfast was excellent room service too.

Myself and partner stayed for 3 nights for our honeymoon and we couldn't have wished for better. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. The breakfast every morning was beautiful and the room was perfect!! Only a short walk until you get to the lake and lots to do around the area. We will definitely be returning again.

Location was spot on. Had breakfast in the room, which arrived on time and was delicious. The room was just as the pictures showed and didn't disappoint. Will definitely be going back hopefully soon 🤞
Don't really have any bad points. We only wished we were told to leave the cover on the hot tub until it had reached the required temperature before using it as it took over an hour to get the temperature. The breakfast came with no milk so had to go down and get some but host was apologetic.

the fact that the room I chose was right out side the reception and they could hear everything in the room and we could hear them. hot tub wasn’t allowed after 11 pm which if I had known I wouldn’t have booked

It was exactly as described. Very comfortable, clean and warm. Good location with parking, easy walking to either Windermere or Bowness. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.
