The apartment looks great, newly refurbished, very clean and modern, and very cosy. The view from the apartment is fantastic. Definitely worth a visit. The walk into town is very enjoyable and we found a great place to eat. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful.

The roads that lead to the house are relatively narrow and steep when driving up for the first time, but it is not very far to go and it is getting easier every time.

Facilities, everything we needed and more. Location. Apartment equipped and furnished to a high standard.

The only thing I can think is the curtains don't quite cover the window in the bedroom and so let in light from early on in the morning.

We came to Danbury Lodge for our honeymoon after getting married in Matlock Bath. Everything about this property is stunning. The decor, the views, the added little extras and the hosts are amazing. If only every host was Richard and Cathy. Nothing is ever too much. It's out second time staying at Danbury lodge and we would stay over and over again. Your hard work that goes into keeping here shows, it's immaculate and everywhere smells so clean. Other reviews complain about the steep hill, we love it. You aren't going to get the stunning views on a main road. Definitely worth the extra strain on the legs. Thank you again for everything.

Clean and comfortable. Great shower. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely views from bedroom and lounge. Charming and helpful hosts (Cathy and Rich). Great base for visiting the lovely Peak District villages, Chatsworth etc. Walking distance to Heights of Abraham cable cars. Pleasant walk to Matlock.

Nothing. The owners made no secret of the steep walk up to the house and the tight turnaround for the car, so we knew what we were booking.

Very relaxing property close to all attractions perfect location. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommended.

N/A Lovely apartment very clean and good facilities, only met the owner on arrival but was friendly, views from the apartment are spectacular, only negative is access to the actual property very steep narrow lane parking is outside but you have to reverse in a very tight space would be ok in a small car all access roads are narrow lanes, walking not for the faint hearted very steep lanes to get down into the main town, the area itself is beautiful

Excellent location, walking distance to main attractions, shops and places to eat. The penthouse has a great view of the mountain, garden and is well-equipped with facilities for a comfortable stay. We stayed for two nights and wished we could stay longer as it was quite a treat to be in this place! The hosts were very nice too!

The appartment was exceptional , clean comfy and in immacualte condition can fins nothing to fault plus the hosts were friendly and available if required would not hesitate to use them again

It is in a beautiful place. it was clean and it had the facilities i expect. I had a problem with the wi-fi which the host spent time on and cured.

It is up a lot of stairs and i have just had a knee replacement so that wasn't so good. My problem not theirs.

Fabulous views, well laid out and very comfortable. TV had Netflix so we could watch our favourites.

No parking on site, Very steep hill and a dead-end with no convenient turning places. Had to do a six point turn to get the car around.

Lovely apartment and great value for money. Richard and family were fantastic hosts and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable! It was super easy to get to Matlock Bath and the Heights of Abraham!

The stay was fantastic, the only downside was the big hill you have to walk up to get back lol.
