The bed was comfortable.

The shower had a lot of mould in it. The breakfast was over cooked, eggs and sausage. No lift and room up two flights of stairs the second flight was very steep. No food served in the evening. The room was very small for the price we paid.

Early check out time of 10AM. Despite booking through booking.com my email was given by them to a third party review site who emailed me seeking a review of the hotel, bit weird.

Close to the beach - nice bar area

No eateries within walking distance except for one which was cheap and nasty . Would’ve expected some dining at the hotel. Our TV was not working and no laundry facility .

All the staff i met were lovely. Reception was very efficient and helpful. My room was nicely decorated and comfortable. Nice garden overlooking the sea to have a drink in the evening sun. Breakfast was very nice.

free toiletries were poor quality and lacking. Bar was poorly stocked (no gin and tonic or sparkling water) Communal areas are a bit dated and need modernising.

Second stay here. I love the location and the way its set up. I am a lone traveller and feel comfortable sitting in the bar etc on my own. Room was spacious and had everything i needed.

Shame no evening meals

The soundproofing is poor. I could hear all the conversations of my neighbours in the night.

The room we stayed in (superior double with sea view on the first floor) was lovely and spacious with modern decor and a really comfortable bed, with the added bonus of a great view across to Porth Beach and beyond. The staff were all so helpful and friendly, from Reception to Housekeeping and the Bar - and the staff serving at breakfast were so welcoming and attentive every morning. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice! Great to have the additional option of a daily special on the menu as well - the omelette we had one morning was delicious. Views from the breakfast room, garden and bar were delightful.

All good, late check in, staff expecting us. Breakfast excellent with specials plus a wide variety of fruit , juice etc. Staff friendly. Room very clean, bathroom very clean. Comfortable beds, All great. Very close to Porth beach, walking distance.

A longer stay

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming and the room we got had an amazing view of the sea! Was a short walk down to the Porth beach shore and a very scenic walking route into Newquay Town. Even though there was no food served at night, we were able to order food in and grab a drink in the bar. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Lovely accomodation, an excellent lounge for breakfast and a brilliant pool.

We where waken up by a fire alarm at 7am because of a water leak. No one told us what was happening. Very bad management of the situation.

The hotel is stunning, beautiful large room, comfy beds, treats and shampoo/shower gel, lovely lady on reception! Had chance to take a dip in the gorgeous pool too!

A truly beautiful location with amazing friendly and helpful staff. A lovely breakfast and comfortable conservatory. The service was amazing with housekeeping everyday.

The only issue was the bed. We had a small double room with a small bed which was uncomfortable. Although, this could be a personal preference. The hotel also only served breakfast (this was stated before booking) however breakfast was amazing we would have loved to have had an evening meal there.

We had a lovely stay for a mother's day treat. The staff couldn't have been any more friendly. They were really lovely from check in, to the bar staff, to check out..room 11 where we stayed was superb. Decorated to a classy finish and really comfortable to stay in. The view towards the beach was great. It really felt like a treat and money well spent.

Like a lot of places recently the bar prices are a bit expensive but as a one off treat it was fine

The hotel is well situated and comfortable and welcoming and the breakfast was good. The staff were helpful and friendly and we couldn't fault them. We enjoyed our stay overall.

However the disappointing aspect of this stay for us was the lack of provision for an evening meal- which is one of the reasons why we regularly choose to stay at a Best Western Hotel.
