Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hat sehr gute Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Umgebung gegeben. Das Frühstück war sehr lecker. Das Zimmer war groß und sauber. Wir können die Unterkunft in jedem Fall empfehlen.

Es war einfach toll. Wir reisten mit Kind und uns hat am meisten die familiäre Atmosphäre gefallen. Sorita und Andrew sind sehr herzliche Gastgeber. Man erfährt durch beide viel über Land und Leute. Es fühlte sich an, als wären wir bei Freunden zu Besuch. Wer Luxus sucht, ist hier falsch. Wer aber das Ländliche und Ruhige sucht, Tiere ( Schafe, Hühner, Hunde) mag, sowie den persönlichen Kontakt, ist hier genau richtig. Sorita spricht neben Afrikaans und Englisch hervorragend Deutsch. Der Addo Elephant National Park ( Haupteingang) ist nicht weit entfernt und von Sorita bekommt man wertvolle Tipps, wenn sie nicht sogar selbst eine Tour in ihrem geliebten roten VW Bus mit den Gästen macht, denn sie war für einige Jahre selbst Ranger im Addo Elephant Park und kennt sich hervorragend aus. Nicht einmal 5 Minuten entfernt gibt es ein tolles Restaurant Afrikanos und ein Tagesausflug nach Cholchester zu den Sanddünen lohnt sich von der Unterkunft aus auch.
Wir danken beiden für den tollen Urlaub. Auf unserer Reise entlang der Garden Route war die Bietje Rus ( Afrikaans "Bisschen Ruhe") eine unserer schönsten Aufenthalte (3 Tage) und wir werden wiederkommen...nächstes Mal bleiben wir aber länger

Sorita hat uns herzlich Empfangen und hat das Herz am rechten Fleck. Können sich so einige Gastgeber ein Beispiel daran nehmen. Hat uns in den Adddo Nationalpark begleitet und uns einen wunderschönen Tag bereitet….

Breakfast was a wonderful surprise. Sunita was a lovely informative host who made you feel like part of the family. She was helpful with instructions, spot on with information about Addo Elephant Park and went the extra mile
The council needs to see to the access road which has nothing to do with Bietjie Rus but I am sure it impacts their business

Sorita was super friendly and helpful, a perfect hostess even prepared me a take away breakfast when I had to leave early. I enjoyed her company what an interesting and warm person.
The facilities was perfect and met my expectations 100 % I will definitely refer her establishment to people from my company.

Over priced. The owner tried to get money out for every little service. She wanted abnormally high rates. If you don’t have a car you are literally depend on her high rates.

Excellent welcome from the owner. The room is spacious. The property is in the farm with animals: chicken, lambs... Excellent breakfast. Very kind people, extremely helpful. 2 excellent restaurants nearby and not too far from Addo Park.

Everything. Sorita is a wonderful host and her house is amazing. She is also an expert Addo guide so she gave us with many useful info. The location is a 15/20 mins drive from Addo, a very good choice if you want to visit the park, it's also close to a restaurant so you can have dinner there on your way back from the park.

Wonderful breakfast at our own chosen time, with fried or scrambled eggs and bacon, fresh orange juice, nice coffee, fresh mulberries (moerbeie) and other fruits. On check-out day, Sorita got up very early to bake some delicious banana muffins. She is a sweet host, who gave us very useful information about Addo Elephant Park and about Africanos Restaurant.
Our detached apartment was very spacious, with a comfortable bed and a great shower!
Outside, you see running chicken, three friendly dogs and lots of sheep. It is such a nice place!

The owners go out of their way to make you comfortable and gives advice on what there is to do in the area . They know Addo well and gave us good advice.The breakfast was delicious! I like the fact that it is on a farm,its very quiet,you don't hear any traffic, only farm animals.

Andrew and Sorita were such lovely hosts! We came after a difficult drive and they made us feel so welcome. The self-catering unit was comfortable and clean. Load-shedding didn’t really affect us as the couple had a backup generator: We were offered a sumptuous breakfast and a short guide on where to see the animals in the park. Shame it was just an overnight for us, if we had stayed longer, we would have gotten Sorita’s expert guide services.

Sorita and Andrew are perfect hosts who gave us advice about where to go in Addo NP, and we also had interesting conversations. We were upgraded into a larger accommodation, with an equipped kitchen and a large bathroom. It was very cosy and restful at night (no noise), and the bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect to reach Addo NP main gate. The breakfast was delicious!

Sorita and Andrew are the most welcoming and helpful hosts. They went out of their way to make our stay at Bietjie Rus an unforgettable one. The studio we had is comfortable with a kitchen, the beds were good, breakfast was great and the garden very peaceful. Sorita also gave us some tips where to find the animals in Addo NP as she has worked there as a safari guide for 21 years. We really loved our stay there. Very much recommended!

Beautiful chalet, Sorita (host) has a lot of experience about Addo park, she recommended some areas to see the lions and WE SAW THEM! We were early in Addo and she made sure we took some breakfast with us, delicious sandwiches btw… looking forward to stay in this place again :)

Sorita was wonderful in so many ways. She offered assistance beyond expectations. Breakfast included and due to rain offered dinner. She made us feel very comfortable. ENJOY YOUR FUTURE STAY. Very safe accommodation.

quiet, clean, safe neighbourhood, lovely owners, excellent breakfast with Wi-Fi, some 20 minutes away from Addo NP
WI-Fi signal in my room was sometimes not too strong (but still ok - apparently there is a stronger signal in the public area)

Sarita and Andrew made us feel like home. When we arrived we where both not feeling very well, and they did everything they could to help. Our room was large, had all we needed and is a short drive from Ado’s main gate. Sarita made us a awesome lunchbag instead of breakfast. We extended our stay to have a little bit of rest and enjoyed our time there a lot

Sorita and Andrew are wonderful hosts; make a great barbecue (and dinner)...and know Addo National Park like the back of their hand (an expression in the USA meaning GREAT!). Highly recommended to stay here especially if visiting the National Park (Addo)
