To get to the ocean from this place we had to walk about 1/4 mile. The listing said just steps away from the ocean. My mom just turned 70 and was not able to walk the 'just steps away' to the ocean. Was very disappointed. That was the whole reason we chose this one. We thought she would be able to walk to or at least SEE the ocean from the rental.

It's a cute well appointed beach house for families with kids. We were a little concerned from reading previous reviews but rest assured there were no termites or ants in site despite this being the high season for ants in oregon. Every thing was clean, the little mother-in-law apartment on the back was great for the grandparents to sleep in when the kiddos woke up early to play games. Even had a shower stool for bathing and not many stairs. Perfect for mixed mobility large family get together. Thanks!

Good place with very easy access to the beach. Long walk to water but excellent dune walking.

We love this place. It is the second time we have stayed here and would like stay here again. The middle bedroom has a light issue from a very bright security light from the next door neighbor. We tried to lower the blinds but they ar broke.

The house was clean and had all the things that we needed. Good size for a few families to stay with quick beach access. A few issues is that there is no light in the backyard and it’s very dark. There’s also a gross smell when the wind changes. Besides that everything was great.

Nice older place within easy walking distance of the beach. Not fancy but very adequate and a great value for the price.

Simple online process!

We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the beach, within walking distance to the park and promenade into Seaside. The house was perfect for our larger mixed family group, including an elder and a toddler. Previous reviews had me worried about the kitchen, however, I had no problems finding the cookware I needed.

Welcoming and ready for us a few hours early. Fantastic location, well be back again soon.

Cute house,everything we needed

This is an older home but is quite spacious and comfortable. We were about 50 ft from the entrance to the beach. Very quiet neighborhood. Close to town...just a great place to stay with a family or group of friends!

The home was missing several essential items. A plug for the kitchen sink or at least a dish pan to hand wash items. Out door lights on each side of house not working. The front door was covered in dead insects and dirt. There is black mold in the windows and the French doors. The housekeeper needs a new job more suited to their capabilities. The living room furniture is like sitting on sticks. The ants were friendly and so were the termites. Loved the ping pong table and all the books. I won't be back.

For the price, you can't beat this place! Close to the ocean and town, clean, roomy and comfortable. Kitchen is well stocked and most necessities are ptovided. The only complaint is the garage room had a strong odor like cats or mildew. Other than that, this is the perfect place for folks on a budget that want to be close to the ocean.

• Cleanliness was terrible (cobwebs, floors, dishes, window seals) •Rodent chewing in add-on toilet/guest space •Internet speeds sporadic, 1.5 download at times •Lots of junk in the garage/rec area making game play difficult. •Inadequate supply of basic utensils and dishes for cooking (and had to wash multiple dishes just to be able to use them). •Master bed with King mattress is awful. The bed feels and squeeks like your going to fall through. •Curtain in first room wouldn't close all the way. •Dining room chairs are all unstable and feel like they could break at any moment. We called management after our first night stay and complained to them about several of these issues including a gutter that was clogged and was overflowing during the over night storm. They never called us back and only sent someone to take care of the gutter but none of the other issues including the rodent was addressed. DON'T STAY HERE!!!!

Easy access to the water and downtown shopping

The house was super cute and great use of space it met all our needs plus a short walk to the beach we also loved the sand back yard for the kids we will definitely reserve again in the future

This was a great location for walking the beach and getting away from the crowds. Great backyard for the dog and a nice deck to enjoy the rare sun we got. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was for cleanliness. If it were my rental I would expect more from the cleaning service. But we enjoyed our stay.

We appreciated the comfort without the pretentiousness

We had a great time at this spacious house. We loved the location and walking distance to the beach. Check in and out was very quick. We will come back !

If you don't care about a luxury setting, but instead want easy access to the beach, this is the place for you. The home is comfortable and well stocked. The beach is steps away. We enjoyed our stay!

What you see in the photos is what you get. There were ample linens and dishes in the house, and the house was clean. It was a little unusual for us to have to stop at the property manager’s location to pickup and drop off the keys but the house was nearby so not too inconvenient. The tiny garbage can next to the house was already full when we checked in which was disappointing. The location to the beach was fantastic, easy walk a block north or south to a public access trail. The fenced backyard was also a plus for us. We have stayed at many VBRO in the past and have learned to bring everything with you for cooking/kitchen use, like napkins, spices (salt/pepper), ziplock bags, coffee filters, etc and this home was no exception. Overall, it was a good house and would stay there again.

we were very impressed by the decor , the amenities , location and everything about the place. we will try to rent this same place in the future and refer our friends to it as well. All we needed was our clothes and food it was well equipped with anything else we might need.

Great house for our family of 4. Only 2 houses separate you from the dunes leading to the beach. Only recommendation for future renters is if you plan to cook at all, make sure to bring or purchase every ingredient. Some rentals have a few things like oil or sugar if needed. There was nothing here, however that might be because we were the first renters after the shut down for 2.5 months.

Despite the stormy weather we enjoyed our visit to Seaside. The home is very well equipped. A short distance to the downtown Seaside main attractions and a short drive to Astoria and Cannon Beach.

the house has all that you need for a relaxed time on a getaway and that what we wanted on a very short planning time. And Its always good to visit Seaside, Cannon beach no matterwhat time of year

Property manager very responsive, excellent customer service. Property was perfect for our needs, ping pong table provided lots of entertainment along with a wide selection of books/short stories. Could use one more dinner chair, but made use of a stool. Very close to beach. Kitchen decently stocked and big fridge.
