When we came back to our room the second night, the door was open from the cleaners. They didn’t change the sheets as expected

All good, could do with more veggie and vegan options for breakfast, e.g veggie sausage.

Bland minimum choice, the hot food was barely hot, and not appealing, only instant Decaff Coffee available at Breakfast

room facilities were poor, only Decaff Coffee, and only 1 teabag Air con was switched off, hence I had to get Reception to come and switch this on.

Clean and efficient

The hotel was spotless, room was perfect for family, with plenty of towels in bathroom. Breakfast area was quite big, lots of fresh food available and so clean.

Friendly welcome, good location for Bowlers Exhibition Centre, clean comfy room.

Breakfast was not up to scratch. Beverage set up needs improving, waiting for cups, shortage of items, Staff stressed. Peak times are identified on displayed information, cater for that, don't expect people to get up 2 hours earlier to get breakfast.

Layout and location

The room , service & food was amazing. My room wasn't available upon arriving but we were offered a complimentary drink whilst we waited which was appreciated. The 24 hour pizza was a brilliant service.

The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was the distance from Manchester City Centre which is where I needed to be. Obviously this is my fault for not knowing Manchester too well and booking a hotel far from where I needed to be. The Uber was really expensive to travel there & back & we struggled to get one that would come that far out of the centre. The hotel was lovely though & perfect if you want to visit the Trafford Centre.

Not enough food at breakfast

I stayed at this same Trafford-City Holiday Inn a few years ago - and was happy to come back. At first I thought £295 was quite expensive for a 2 night stay - but - The area it is located in has definitely expanded since I was last there. Obviously the Trafford Centre is still nearby - but there's now a pub next door (that do Carvery), a McDonald's, Asda and coffee place not too far away. The hotel itself is still perfectly nice - and conveniently has onsite parking. The breakfasts seemed improved too - with a good selection of cooked items (although still very little in this regard for veggies/vegans). The room was spacious and warm (it was quite a cold & wet weekend) - and the beds were comfortable enough. Shower was good. There's also a regular Tram service that takes you into the city centre. The staff were friendly - and seemed genuinely amused (which was a good thing) when I twice returned after checking out to retrieve something I'd left in the room! All in all - I'd happily return . . . again.

The extractor fan in the bathroom would randomly stay on when you switch the light out - and would switch off when you put the light on? It wasn't really an issue - just a bit strange. The only real negative -and even then, not a major one, was- if you happen to have a room facing the road - as you can hear the traffic from quite early on.

That it's 3 mins walk from the Trafford centre and tram stop, also you have a macdonalds on one side and a pub that served nice food on the other, all within 2 mins walk

That our air con/ heating had a fault and was beeping at 3am

Brilliant location near the Trafford centre, lovely big room, clean, friendly staff.

Loved everything, only let down was posters around the hotel stated breakfast was until 10am, we came down at 9.30am and were told breakfast has now finished. Staff were lovely and gave us what they could that was leftover but we had been looking forward to a nice cooked breakfast.

Clean rooms and very quiet good location and right next to carvery and McDonald’s and near Trafford centre could walk to it.

Breakfast wAs terrible. Hardly anything left and food wasn’t very hot. Staff looked stressed.
