They location, the stay and the host were all top-tier. For a three-night, four-day stay, I am not sure we could have picked a greater little spot. Reminded us of the bakehouses we used to visit growing up.

We enjoyed our stay at this property, after spending time in Nashville it was nice to get back to the calm setting at the cabin. We were also entertained by the sounds of Wild Peacocks in the nearby woods. Thank you to Steve and Debbie

Steve went out of his way to ensure everything went smooth! Answered every question I had, very promptly. Communicated to him our plans and he let me know I could arrive at any time, the day of check in. Steve was very friendly and was available for any problems that may arise,l. The location was excellent! Beautiful view of lake. Close proximity of anything you needed in town. The cabin had EVERYTHING we needed, plus more! The Weber grill he had was perfect! Exactly like one I have at home. Cell service was minimal but the wifi was fast, so service was t a problem! A good friend of mine lives close by here so I will definitely stay again, on my next trip up to Tenn!

Loved our stay—wanted a rustic getaway with some modern amenities—perfect match.

We had a very relaxing anniversary getaway. The mornings out on the balcony were so peaceful. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed to grill. We really enjoyed the paddle boat and fishing. We will be back. Steve was a great host. Answered all of our questions.

The view of the lake was beautiful. It was close enough to all the attractions but cozy and quiet.

My wife and I had a great experience! The house is awesome and cozy. The property manager is the best! He met me there almost the moment I showed up. He was extremely helpful. If you are looking to escape into a relaxing place, I would highly suggest staying here!!

The unit and area were nice. Not a fan of the soft mattress in the master bedroom; wound up sleeping on one pull-out bed using mattresses from both for extra cushion. Tub would not hold water. Everything else was great.

A couple of single moms with elementary-aged kids, we were looking for a short fall-break trip when I came across the listing for Slayden House. It could not have been more perfect, and our vacation there was ideal. The cabin has everything you could want for a lake getaway with kids. Cottage filled with everything you need plus lots of fun in every quaint nook and cranny -- sweet A-frame with two patios overlooking the lake, charming retro decor, air hockey, games -- relaxing hammock -- and just down the hill, the pretty lake itself, where our kids were thrilled to catch plenty of fish and paddle out to the middle of the lake in the paddle boats, then end the night roasting s'mores at a campfire already ready for us to light. The host, Steve, was amazing and met us when we arrived and was there for anything we needed during our stay. I already have friends inquiring after posting pics of our wonderful vacation. Highly recommend!

From finding snails, to paddle boating, to swimming in the lake, to swinging in the hammock, and so much more, this was a location we thoroughly enjoyed and want to revisit in the future!!! Steve is a fast responder and quick to help!

We booked this property hoping for a nice relaxing getaway, and it exceeded our expectations. Very clean, very quiet setting, great view of the lake! Anything you need is in town as well.
