Six adults playing tennis and golf everyday. We had our happy hours on the third floor balcony with amazing views. Cooked some nice meals in the well appointed kitchen. Family room is extremely comfortable. And unlike many rentals we’ve had over the years, shampoo, soap, dishwashing soap, laundry and cleaning products were abundant. Also made great use of the bikes. We’ll be back. Thank you Marc and Paul.

We had a great time visiting. Marc and his team really do a great job of going out of there way to enhance your stay. We had a couple minor things pop up but they were right on it to get corrected. Amazing location, views and the house is spectacular. Large space and activities for all and the pool was amazing. We will definitely be back! Thanks Marc.

We had an amazing week with family relaxing the pool and enjoying the amazing location and views

Overall the house is nice. The beach location and pool area are excellent. The pool itself is large and has a nice attached spa which can be heated. There are probably 8 lounge chairs around the pool and just as many standard chairs for the outdoor tables. The bedrooms on the 2nd floor are spacious and well appointed. The third floor rooms are pretty standard, though the beds up there are pretty old and uncomfortable. The normal bedroom on the first floor is much smaller than implied by photos. The full bath on the first floor is shared between the two bedrooms. Speaking of, the pool table bedroom had an odd smell and could use better lights. Overall, every bathroom in the house was nice. Especially appreciated the showers. The living room on the main floor has tons of seating and is comfortable. The TV is also large enough to ensure everyone can easily see the screen. Few other considerations… communication with the property owner and manager were a bit confusing/ didn’t always match up. And the manager liked coming by too often. You’re on vacation, you don’t want to be startled by unannounced visits. Depending on the season, you’re likely paying $1+/minute to be there. The managers shouldn’t waste that time bothering you multiple times during the week to overshare odd personal information. Additionally, the photos on VRBO could use an update. A few things have changed. Including the pool room now having two bunked beds where the bottom is full and top is a twin. Similarly, the bikes available for use with the house are rather run-down. One is missing a bike chain, a couple have flat tires, or loose seats, and a couple more have chains so rusted they make cracking noises constantly as you pedal. I’ve noticed other reviews that mention bike issues and would recommend just renting bikes from pedals (if you plan to use them) that work and come with locks and baskets. ** Finally, there are definitely a few safety issues. While it was thoughtful to have netting on the staircase to the 2nd floor the real problem is the front porch entryway stairs which are uneven in a few spots and do not have a handrail. One of the property managers and my father-in-law both fell on them while we were there. Just inside the home, there are similarly no handrails for the quarter staircase, which has floors that are quite slick.

We really enjoyed our time in Palmetto Dunes and 9 Dinghy is a beautiful property with everything you need to make the most of your week. Right on the beach and the large pool was wonderful in the afternoon. 2 Fridges and an ice maker were put to great use for our large family of 14. Loved having a weeks supply of tp, paper towels, and toiletries. Plus trash bags and everything for the kitchen. Also enjoyed a seafood boil with all the equipment we needed provided. Made good use of the bikes, beach towels, and beach chairs. This house has it all. Perfect for large Families!

Well set up and prepared for a week of fun on Hilton Head! Highly recommend it.

We loved this property for our 3 vacationing families. Everything was made easy due to the space and amenities included. The owner/property managers were easy to communicate with and responded promptly. The views are amazing and the pool was enjoyed by all. Our only complaint would be that the pool deck gave the kids splinters, but that was remedied by wearing flip flops on deck. The house was very well stocked and we all hope to return.

Oh the house was better than advertised. It was a very well-maintained and very well appointed. We will be back.

While we would describe staying here as a “trip of a lifetime” we are also looking to stay here again as soon as possible! We’ve been coming to HHI for 20 years and Marc and Dave really made this trip one of the best ever. The home is fantastic with great separation when working virtually. Easy access to every everything and incredible views makes this a wonderful spot to work and play for the whole family! We strongly recommend!

From the moment we arrived, Mark and Dave were more than helpful. They toured us around the house, showed us how everything worked and were open for any questions during the length of our stay. While there was a minor issue with the hot tub heating, it did not negatively affect our trip at all. In fact, Mark wanted to buy us dinner to make up for it !! There were huge bedrooms, kid supplies and endless beach supplies. Thank you Mark for an incredible place to stay !!!! We cannot wait to come back !!

We would certainly consider renting this property again. Such easy access to the beach. Marc and Dave were very pleasant and helpful.

Family is traveling back today. One of the best vacations in a long time. 8 Dinghy Lanr is an OFF THE CHATRS PROPERTY, made even better by the owner Marc. The privacy of the property and the nearly empty beach right outside were great. Marc turned us on to a private chef Juhan of Buku Foods. We had him in 2 times for outside feasts. When we get back to PA we are booking next year right away

You will not find a better house than this ! Everything is at your fingertips! The owner Marc is the best guy you will meet! My husband and I have stayed at so many Vrbo and no owner compares to Marc! He is constantly trying make your stay better!! If you are coming to Hilton head this is your house!

We have stayed at Palmetto Dunes for the past five years, the location is the best! This is the first time we stayed at this home and it was great because Marc goes above and beyond making you comfortable and providing all the amenities to make your stay hassle free. We will return next year!

Interacting with Marc and Jesse Chary couldn’t have been easier. Very responsive to the few issues we had. Just a prime location. A few things slightly worn (which was fine for our large group) but extremely clean. Highly recommend.

The location was perfect! Right on the beach with beautiful views of the ocean! Mark really goes out of his way to make sure his guests are well taken care of!

Large family rented for a wedding week vacation. The property is top notch, and owners were fantastic hosts! Everything we needed was there (beach towels, chairs, games, etc). View, beach, and pool were stunning! Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic family vacation spanning 3 generations, 4 families and one dog. The house and location was everything we hoped it would be. So nice to have everything supplied. Complete stress free vacation relaxing in the heated pool and walking the beach. Jesse was extremely responsive to all emails even though we really had no issues. I look forward to repeating!

Our family of six adults and five children (ages 4-14) spent a great week at 9 Dinghy Lane. Jesse and Marc were tremendous hosts and worked diligently to make sure everything we needed was accommodated. They provide beach towels, chairs, games etc. It’s the first time we have rented where we didn’t need to buy staples such as toilet paper, aluminum foil, napkins, paper towels, paper plates etc. Even coffee was provided. Even when the pool heater didn’t function as expected, Jesse and Marc were right on it to get it corrected. The bikes provided (18 of them, I counted) were a cost savings although several of them needed a little air in the tires and grease on the chain. Overall we were greatly satisfied with this rental and I would like to thank Jesse for prompt responses to our text message questions, and Marc for his quick actions on those minor issues. You are tremendous owners and hosts! The house is beautiful and in a perfect location.
