Lovely hotel just outside of centre of town very comfortable and clean and free parking receptionist was very helpful

Unfortunately or fortunately the restaurant beer garden was not open on a Tuesday when we were booked in

The area around the hotel is very quiet. The room may have been recently renovated so it was clean and bright.

The location of the hotel is a bit far from the old city, about 10 minutes by car and 40 minutes by walk. In addition, one side of the bed is against the wall so it feels inconvenient.

The breakfast every morning was all very high quality with good service, the room was large and clean and also VERY LOUD!

The hotel itself is fine BUT room 1 is not, it is in fact a well disguised hell on earth for the unsuspecting traveller! The hotel is attached to the restaurant and beer garden like two overlapping rectangles and the point the building physically connect is on the corner of room 1. This means as the kit hen prep for the start of service you hear all the clattering through the wall, in addition to this on the day I stayed they decided to drill and hammer like they were putting up a new shelf on the other side of the wall. In addition to this at about 10 o clock when the restaurant service ends you get to hear them pack up and put away and that's another interminable hour of noise in your room. Now that's on a normal day but unfortunately my second night was worse, as the Thursday was a bank holiday in Germany someone decided to book a birthday party at the restaurant, arriving back late from work at 10pm I got to enjoy 2 1/2 hours of German karaoke, I kid you not. This was about as awesome as it sounds and depute my complaints the staff seemed unwilling or unable to get them to stop early or reduce the noise, this was not a good night at all, in fact one of my worse experiences staying at a hotel and at some points I considered going outside to sleep in my vehicle rather than stay in the room.

The hotel had good private parking and in a quiet location. The room was excellent, clean and modern. With an excellent restaurant and beer garden with great atmosphere. A short journey by car into the centre of Bamberg. .
