Everything! The host Prasad is very informative and kind, explained everything and gave tips on what to see and where to go around Mirissa, Unawatuna and Galle. On arrival we had a welcome drink and a cold towel, much appreciated. The house and the room are spotless clean! The breakfast is huge and delicious and the best that we had in Sri Lanka. Amazing host, delicious breakfast, great location, highly recommend.

The owner was a very nice man who cares about you since the first moment you arrive! Very polite, cultured, helpful! Rooms were very clean as were tidied every day - so the cleaness standard was really very high which does not happen in Sri Lanka that often😉. Bed was comfortable, with good mosquito net. Nice balcony. Initially we got a room where air con seemed not working very well - we informed owner about it and room was immediately changed and owner called person to fix it. He also helped us voluntarily with broken classes! Hotel is well situated, near to secret beach as well as to main beach. We trully recommend this place! Oh and I got a flower necless from the owner which was very nice!!!

The host is the kindest person in the world. We will truly miss him. Amazing home made breakfast everyday in his well decorated house. The bed is comfortable with AC for a good night sleep. It is close to great locations like Secret Beach and A++. The room is cleaned every day. You are lucky if you manage to book his place in Mirissa. If you like dogs they are at the backyard and they never bark or disturb. Thank you Mr. Prasad Bohoma Istuti!

Without a doubt, our favourite homestay in Sri Lanka. Prasad is the warmest, most kind and generous host we have met. It was an absolute pleasure to stay with him, we wish we would have stayed longer!! Frozen face/hand towels and drinks on arrival, a spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable bedroom with a balcony where you can sit and watch monkeys and peacocks, very good air conditioning, full sized fridge, hairdryer. Very informative about the local area and provided recommendations for our upcoming locations. Every time we left the property he would give me a fresh flower for my hair, or a floral headband that he had made. Perfect location for all activities in Mirissa, walkable to all the ‘must see’ sights and tucked away behind a private gate in a beautiful jungle type road. Free beach towels/bag in the room. We can’t say enough good things about Prasad and Bon Accord - if it is available for your dates, do not hesitate to book!! Also managed to swim with turtles just off Mirissa beach a few minutes walk from the accommodation.

Prasad was the most welcoming of all the hosts we experienced on our recent travel around Sri Lanka - nothing was too much for him. And the breakfast was exceptional.

First of all I want to thank Prasad for such a high quality of hospitality, everything is at the highest level, many 5+ hotels cannot provide this quality of service. The house is very cozy, built in such a way that air always circulates in it, it is not hot and stuffy. The house is located 5 minutes from the beach. Nevertheless very quiet. Prasad greets you after the road with a juice and a cold towel. The room is spacious, clean, large and comfortable bed, in our room was a spacious balcony with chairs and a table. The shower is large, clean, there is always toilet paper and hot water. The breakfasts are worthy of special praise. We were there for 10 days and each breakfast was unique. Prasad is a great cook. Always delicious, authentic food + fresh, local fruits. Cleaning and fresh bed - every day. Free WiFi. More importantly, you can buy water right in the house. You can always ask Prasad about the island, where to go, where to eat, how to get to the places of interest. I hope that the political situation in the country will return to normal, this country and these people are wonderful. I want to thank Prasad from the bottom of my heart, God bless you my friend, people like you make this world brighter.

Hospitality the Guest House owner. Welcome juice. Attention and well-being with guests. Wonderful breakfast with local cuisine food (but he can make western style). Location good, just steps to the beach and around 1/2 mile to main street where you can find good restaurants (Ceylon Curry House), supermarket, etc. There is another good restaurant Shady Lane try if you can. Swim with turtles at Turtle Beach (near Coconut Tree Hill) 5 minutes ride by tuk-tuk. There is a book in the room with lot of information/tips. He also provides laundry service for a low cost it is worthwhile. There is a fridge in the common area for all guests.

It is not the owner fault, but Sri Lanka is now in a bad political/financial situation, so in Mirissa the power cut twice a day for around 1:30-2:00 hours.

Top place and brilliant host Prasad!We’ve stayed at Bon Accord Mirissa for more than two weeks. The house is located just near the Mirissa beach, on the small quiet road. The house, the rooms and territory are very clean. Cleaning every day, lotus flowers in room:) Hot water and air conditioning. Prasad made each day very testy traditional Sri Lankan breakfasts with fruits and juice. He has cooking talent for 100%:) From the first day to the last one Prasad helped us with everything, there is no question he can’t answer to) He gave us the list of places and cafes to visit in Mirissa, helped us to organise the car with driver for very good price to visit all places we wanted in Sri Lanka. Prasad is a very broad minded man, very open, kind and interesting person to talk to different topics. Even when I’ve got knee injury, he was my personal doctor, made bandage with healing ointment, bought proper antibiotics so in a couple of days I was lucky to swim again:) Personal cheers from Kristina for beautiful flowers in the evenings:) Thank you very much Prasad for brilliant stay during our holidays in Mirissa! Prasad was an exceptional host, very welcoming, he gave us great recommendations for sightseeing and restaurants, and went out of his way to make our stay wonderful. Fresh flowers, fresh juice and a lovely breakfast. Rooms were comfortable and clean, Prasad cleaned our room every day. Great location, right next to the beach and a few minutes walk to the harbour. We loved our stay at Bon Accord. Would highly recommend :)

The owner is simply the best, always there for you, extremely nice and honest, and provides you with everything you need, as well as indications for eating and things to do. The house including our bedroom and ensuite bathroom were immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The 4 poster bed was comfortable and the room well equipped with a fan and AC. It is conveniently located close to town and the beach. Breakfast was an education in Sri Lankan cuisine! Prasad went out of his way to serve us something fresh each of the 4 days we were there. Our host Prasad distinguished himself both through motivation and through competence in his service. His breakfasts were phenomenal and he always went the extra mile to make our stay more comfortable and memorable even without us asking for it. He will help also help you with problems not related to the accomodation. For me he changed a larger sum of money (For a good rate) and made a doctors appointment including transport. I can fully recommend this place !

So close to the beach....lovely host and really clean comfortable room. Boutique enough to be fortunate to meet other tourists in a relaxed way over breakfast.

This was one of our best stays in Sri Lanka. Even though the room was not really big, it was so clean and had everything needed - mosquito net, AC, bottle of water, additionally - flowers on the bed. Prasad has pleased us with the best breakfast we have had - everything prepared in a traditional way, 2 different types of breakfast during our 2-days stay. Everything was just delicious and big and we knew what was prepared as Prasad described it all. On top of that, the Owner provides lots of information about what to see, where to eat. Also, is happy to share the insights of Sri Lanka economic situation. Everything is organized in such a traditional, owner-special way, so you enjoy the stay even more. Really, absolutely wonderful stay and the host. Highly recommended.

Absolutely everything was perfect! Exceptionally clean room (cleaned every day), extremely welcoming and helpful host, delicious breakfast. Beach is 5 minutes away from the accommodation, lots of restaurants around. Would definitely stay in Bon Accord again!

I was attracted to this place by the excellent breakfast reviews I read, and I was not disappointed at all. Every day, 4 or five different elements to the breakfast, primarily local dishes, with toast and jam for those who are not so adventurous. and every day a different take on what was served. It is obvious that Prasad is passionate about what he serves, with a smile and an explanation of what you get. Just outstanding. But it was not only the breakfast which impresses here, Prasad goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need, where to get the best sarongs, where to eat etc. I picked up a couple of urchin spines in my foot out in the surf and needed some vinegar to treat the wound - Prasad didn't have any, but went round to his family to get some for me, as well as a local treatment from a flowering tree in his garden. The room was spotless, A/C worked, and very importantly for me, the wifi was the fastest I experienced in Sri Lanka. 2 minutes to the surf spot.

There was nothing I didn't like. If there was one thing to mention, there was a bit of an unpleasant odour from the drains in the bathroom, but nothing an open window wouldn't solve, and it did not bother me at all.

Amazing staff! Rooms are clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed one night in this hotel!
