It’s truely a majestic property in Chiang Mai and the photos really don’t do it justice - you have to experience it! Its quite special and you feel at home when you arrive. Amazing surroundings, nice staff and comfortable beds.

There were some very minor things but nothing bad at all - the food was fresh and delicious Vietnamese style but the breakfast choices could be better.

Design is all over the place, amazing taste. The staff is well trained and extremely detail oriented. The breakfast is great, and you can schedule ir, also you can have it to go. The swimming pool is stunning the bathroom were really comfortable as well, and the bed and linens were high quality

Such a beautiful and unique hotel! Really appreciated the traditional Thai villa style aesthetic and it was such a romantic and comforting place to stay. Beautiful design of the hotel itself and the rooms, with really thoughtful amenities (like bug spray!!). A really delicious breakfast was also included with our stay. The staff were very helpful and kind during our stay. 10/10 would stay again and recommend to anyone!

This gorgeous luxury boutique hotel is really quite special. From the moment you walk in you feel transported to a different world. The hotel grounds are lush and breathtakingly beautiful. It's all in the details - from the bamboo walkways to the eclectic antique art dotted around the property, and the traditional, teak-built Thai villas, each raised on stilts, offering a private balcony. The rooms are spacious, with lots of storage space. While they have been updated to modern standards, they retained the traditional look and feel of the abodes. The property also boasts a stunning swimming pool, which is lit up by dozens of lanterns at night. All of these unique touches make for a serene and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend staying here.

Achitect of hotel is beautiful. did not expect noises from from planes as early( 6h30) and late( 23h..) Personnel were more than friendlyly, serviseces in restorant may be improved.. we had b'fast and dinner during our stay (5 nights) each time we have to present ourselves almost before the kitchen to be served ,though staff were friendly. for second serve of coffee, we have to look for themto be served.. same for dinner. Presence in dining hall need to be seriouly improved.

We really liked how well the gardening, the furniture, the whole Villa was kept. This place is beautiful. Staying here was an incredible experience. All the staff was so helpful also. They always went out of their way to help us with anything.

The grounds are stunningly beautiful, full of exotic mature plants in verdant glory. There's a bamboo walkway, ferns and palms, and a very flowery cannonball tree around our villas. Every space is a photo op. The villas are restored and modernised, marrying beauty and comfort. Love the little balcony decks, we spent evenings having meals and playing games, it had the feeling of home. Also love the happy hour cocktails, and breakfasts although not a lavish buffet spread, were sufficiently varied that we didn't get bored after 6 nights. Very private, guests hardly see each other.

My friend's bathroom had very weak water heater, she had to come over to our villa for hot showers everyday. Room service was not really available even though there's a menu; limited items available and they charged extra 500 baht to so-call lay the tables etc. The location is also not close to the old city and shopping areas, and in fact is pretty close to the airport so we can hear the planes clearly though it didn't bother us much.

The only thing that was a bit problematic was that we didn’t order the breakfast in advance once morning and it was a much more difficult process; everything from water, coffee, the food took much longer.

It’s cosy and peaceful place and we loved thai decoration details all around. The villas are spacious and have lots of private sitting area outside. We liked the breakfast, which included asian dishes and was served next to the swimming pool or in the restaurant. The hotel has restaurant serving Vietnamese food. The staff is friendly. Hotel is located near airport, 10min taxi to the old town, walking 5km is not pleasant as it’s along busy dual carriageway with no pavement. tTo make it perfect, It would be nice if the hotel could offer taxi service at the price more comparable to meter taxi or Uber (we were quoted 3 and 4 times higher price). Overall great place to stay, relax and soak Thai atmosphere.

I loved everything about Villa Mahabhirom. The place is amazing, very well done and tasteful. The staff was very helpful and friendly, the food was great. Just absolutely love love love !! I will be returning in the future for sure. Thank Mr. Sing and the staff for a lovely stay at Villa Mahabhirom :)

Firstly, the phone in the room was broken and I couldn't hear anything at all. Secondly, the air conditioning was broken and not working properly. It would get cold and hot without touching the remote control. When we set the temperature to 24 degrees, the air conditioner would automatically set to 19 or 17 degrees. Then, the disposables in the room were not renewed at all when they ran out. Also, we stayed during the rainy season and the smell was awful. I stayed at another wooden structure hotel in Chiang Mai. There was no problem with the smell. Also, the location of the hotel is near the airport and there were loud noises from time to time. Worst of all, the service at the hotel was most unbelievable to me. I called at 10am to ask room service to bring breakfast to my bedroom and waited for over an hour with two phone calls in between. It was only when I went to the front desk to ask that an employee told me that it would cost 500 baht. How do i pay 500 baht over the phone?

Breakfast menu a little narrow but tasty. need more options. Lovely to sit in garden and eat. Lunch or dinner on the premises could be nice.

TV was hard to use. We gave up. No device to stream music in the room. Small things but could make a difference, especially at the price. The prices in Thai top end resorts, especially Boutique ones is getting out of kilter with global rates. You could stay in an equally nice resort in Europe for less. Very overpriced, but nice.

We loved the history, antiques and design of the hotel. Every detail had been thought out. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough to help you, it felt like you were staying with a family who really cared about your stay. The breakfast was delicious - the banana waffle was perfect and I looked forward to eating it everyday !
