The buffet wasn't exceptional for a supposedly 5* location

As we were in a cottage near the bottom of the property we needed transfers to/from our accommodation. When going back to the cottage in the evening, the lighting on the pathway was not very good. The locations of the lights were not plentiful and as such did not show the pitfalls in the stone walkway. Also in one part of the pathway, which wasn't lit, there was a drop of merely, say 3inches, but without lighting that was sufficient for me to tumble down and do substantial damage to the front of my face. My glasses were broken and the blood was flowing freely. I still have the scabs and occasional bleeding. whilst there was sympathy from the staff, there was no offer of compensation. Also the said remedies of lighting and filling in the pathway that was said to be done was not acted upon when we were there.

Quite, peaceful ,tranquil environment with great views of Mt Kenya. Excellent breakfast experience, lunch and dinner fabulous . Large open spaces ,large pool .

Retro fitted e-bikes ….better quality e bikes should be on offer .

Amazing setting and grounds , fantastic rooms, and great service, going out of their way to accommodate our needs

Grounds are magnificent with plenty of activities at the hotel and close proximity to amazing safaris. Rolling hills with the stunning Mount Kenya in the background combined with roaming wildlife and activities make the hotel worth staying at for at least part of the trip rather than spending all day at safaris.
