Lal and Nalani are very welcoming, kind hosts. I felt so well taken care of. Lal gave me advice and recommendations about how to plan my time, helped arrange a jeep safari to Kaudulla National Park, and took me to various locations in the regions on the back of his scooter. Nalani is an exceptional cook — she prepared delicious Sri Lankan breakfasts and dinners. The rooms are spacious and clean. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended an extra night!

Lal and his finally were so nice and welcoming. I was a solo traveller and they made me feel like part of the family from the first minute. Also, Lal was always willing to help me with everything I need and drive me to some places. Last but not least, the food is just incredible and you will really get to taste real home made and delicious Sri Lankan food!!

Lal and his wife and son are super hospitable, the food is absolutely amazing, nice room with warm shower in a beautiful garden, walking distance from Lion Rock and Pidurangala. Couldn't wish for anything more!

A home away from home! Lal and his family were so welcoming and made my stay in Sigiriya very memorable. First of all, the room is super clean and simple yet bright. The food is AMAZING, if you just came here for the food I wouldn’t blame you. They made sure that I tried different food at every meal, so much variety and so full of flavour. They even let me come into the kitchen to watch and learn the recipes when I told them I loved cooking. Lal helped me organised all the activities during my stay including: Kaudulla NP safari, tour of the Sigiriya and Pidurangala rock, ayruvedic massage, cooking class and tour of local village. He even drove me to Anaradhapura and gave me a tour around all the different sites there. All for very reasonable prices. He also took my clothes to the laundry place for me. Overall the best experience I could have hoped for and 100% recommend staying here! Lal is also very happy to organise your travels to other places in Sri Lanka and will definitely make sure you get the best prices if you do!

The host (lal) and his family are the kindest people we met while our travels in Sri Lanka! They provide a very nice, clean and welcoming home And even cook in their kitchen a variety of Sri Lankans most delicious food for breakfast and dinner if requested. Furthermore lal really cares about his guest, he picked us up for free after our sunset hike at the lions rock because it world have been to dangerous to walk and he didn’t want us to pay a tuk tuk. Also did he inform us about the political situation and than drove us all the way to negombo to make sure that we catch our flight! All in all a very pleasant stay, we wish we would have stayed longer ! Can 100% recommend this homestay

The aircon would have cost 800 Rupees extra and the would have charged 600 Rupees per person for breakfast, which is quite expensive.

the hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful! one of the best stays I have ever had! I also have to mention their cooking, which is unbelievably good! and they have the cutest dog ever :) couldn’t have been more satisfied!

The hosts were incredible helpful in organizing our transfers to Sigiriya and to Pidurangala for sunrise. He also helped organize our taxi to Ella the next day. The dinner was delicious - highly recommend!

Lal and Nalni have been such a great hosts, they helped us with everything we needed: recommendations, transport, local curiosities, etc! We even had the opportunity to learn how to cook Sri Lankan dishes with Nalni!! It has been such a great experience, we really recommend this homestay if you go to Sigiriya!
