It was smallish compared to the other way too big hotels available in ADD. The location was convenient as it was a nice walk down to the main church in the city, next to amenities like ethio telecom, and cosy cafes. The staff went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable, and this, together with the copious breakfast made my 2-night stay enjoyable.

I had a hard time looking for small cozy boutique hotels, and did not understand the TIME OUT classification of this hotel as one. I have since understood that such boutique hotels which, in my mind are smallish and warm, intimate with a special theme cannot be found in ADD.

The food.

I stayed in Addissinia a year ago and it is a perfect place to stay in Addis’s. This time I booked to my friend who traveled from Istanbul as a gift and wanted the payment to be taken from my credit card I entered on my info, but they couldn’t charge me for some reason and she had to pay it from her pocket. They told because of the marketing guy is not at work and it didn’t make sense to me. Now my point is not about who paid the money but why it is not possible since they are on Booking.com and also stated that we have to give them our credit card informations? A bit disappointed but I would recommend it and I would stay there again. I hope they fix this issue.
