Forgot how noisy that part of Leeds is at 4am

The cleanliness.

The noise. This is NOT on a quiet residential street as described. It was situated next to the bins and back alleys of the local pubs! 🙄 There were mountains of rubbish outside the property and roads it was disgusting. There was no parking what's so ever, there was lots of hassle to get the keys even though this located locally to the property it would of been nicer after a long drive if you didn't have to go to the station to collect. The property could have amazing potential. The idea behind it is lovely. However, there is mould in the showers, entrance radiator is hanging off the wall, the chair in the front room leg is off if we didn't notice we probably would of been charged for this. The cooker sounded like it was going to take off at any moment and had no markings on it any longer The place charged a lot + deposit considering all of this we expected more. Still haven't received my deposit after checking out. Staff were great at responding, and JOYCE is amazing. Many bits of info where incorrect but Joyce sorted this every time. No lift directly to the apartment, location/ details on how to find room were incorrect.. "2nd floor, no 26" when 26 is the 1st floor. There is so much potential, but too much money is taken and not spent on the property! Overall this property charged a lot to only be satisfactory.

A beautiful apartment in the heart of Leeds. Just above bank of Scotland and next door to a great pub (JD Wetherspoon). Everything within a 5 minutes walk - City center, Leeds Station, Trinity Mall, Headrow.

The google directions take you to the other side of the road. It took us an hour to find the building. Thanks to numerous back and forth calls to the hosts. Finally they sent us an aerial view of the apartment which helped us in finding it. It is right above the Bank of Scotland. Entry is from the back door.

The location.

The overall cleanliness was substandard, not even sure the bedding had been changed. Found a hair clip - a big clasp one between bed & bedside table, I found it when I dropped mine down there! Sure it hadn't been hoovered properly. Cracked hole in ensuite tiling in the centre of the room. The ensuite toilet door didn't close. Stains on sofa, stains on the cushion, dirty sealant in shower, shower head cracked & spraying out over the shower panel & onto the toilet in main bathroom, dirty encrusted shower doors. Extractor fans didn't work in both bathrooms. Microwave oven door wouldn't close. Dirty hob in kitchen ( I cleaned it - it came off, it just hadn't been cleaned for a long time) I could go on...

The property is right in the centre of Leeds near all shops ,6 minutes to train station (walking). Although I have listed alot of issues that needed repairing the apartment is really nice just a shame the issues let it down.

There a quiet a few issues that need addressing, Window in lounge the catch was broken off so Window kept blowing open I did report this, Shower in main bathroom had a split in water was squirting all over, Hole in tiles on floor in en-suite bathroom, Crockery had large chips in Doors needed looking at beading was coming off.

It was easy enough although I had to go to a secret location which was not specified until after I booked. The time to collect the keys was inaccurate - it said 9 PM and I was able to get up later than that. It would be helpful to update the details on the booking page and to make it clear the keys are not at the property and in a secret location.

The apartment could do with a freshening up with some paint and the windows need to be fixed so that you can open them safely. It was a lovely apartment but these minor things let it down a bit. I also found it difficult to pay the security fees using my card on the website and had to call the company - they were very responsive but it added a bit of unneeded worry to the trip. The shower in both rooms could do with a proper clean too. There's a cleaning fee so would expect them to be cleaner than they were and the shower door needs to be fixed in the ensuite.

It is an amazing place. Very well equipped. Beds, bathroooms and drawing rooms are gorgeous! WiFi could work better, but generally I am amazed with this place!

The only thing you can criticize is that you need to climb the 1st floor (very high) before you can use the elevator. And, be aware, you really are in the very heart of the city of Leeds - on weekends it is quite noisy 'cause people enjoy pubs and restos in the neibourghood.

Location. The property is located next to city centre where there are lots and variety of restaurants, stores, etc. It’s also just 5–10 minute walk from Leeds train station. It has common room for family members to get together. There are facilities like kitchen, dishwasher, refrigerator, washing machine so we can cook light meals, wash clothes like staying at home.

Too noisy at night ‘coz it’s close to pubs & restaurants nearby. The apartment is on the 2nd floor (4th from ground) without elevator for the first 2 floors. Think about climbing up there through stairs with luggages, it’s more than going to gym. We expect the room to be cleaner than this. Don’t expect and compare with a hotel room where you have high standard and regular cleaning services.

Very dirty by European standards, There were two microwaves that were both impossible to operate. An old dirty fridge. An old noisy oven in the kitchen. The key you had to pick up in a office that closed 11pm, down by the railstation. We came by plane from Norway and told them we would be there for check-in between 11-12 pm. They did not even bother to tell that we had to pickup the keys in a office before 11 pm, before I asked about it at 10.30 pm, when we were in the taxi from the airport. I told them from day 1 that we would check in late and would have canceled it if I knew the key had to be picked up in a office before 11 pm. Sillikone on sillikone in the showers.

Environment

The attitude of staff and policy around the letting.

The apartment was in a good location. Some slight niggly bits with noise outside, especially a particularly noisy manhole cover that made such a loud bang everytime a bus ran over it.... but hey not the apartments fault and its a city so noise is expected. The general overview of the apartment was nice, cosy and beds were comfy. All amenities available.

Cleanliness was of a medium standard, given the current Covid-19 status we are in I wasn't impressed. Sofa cushions had questionable stains. There was noticeable wiped and unwiped areas around the apartment. Down by the side of the sofa 2 NOS canisters were found (known recreational drug use). Other bits which could have been improved was the hole filled in the wall behind the door. Chipped plates could have been replaced. A few other minor things which could have improved the general appearance. Considering they require £150 security deposit I'm surprised this has not been used after what is obvious some bookers have left the apartment in this state.

Location was great, comfortable rooms, nice and bright.

Insufficient cutlery & crockery for 4. Crockery chipped/ cracked. Someone had been smoking in the accommodation before we arrived. Towel rail in en-suite was hot enough to burn me. Some minor repairs needed.
