Adorable house that had just about everything we needed for our weekend stay in Lava. We had an issue with the wifi upon arriving that Taylor walked me through troubleshooting and we had it fixed quickly. Would definitely stay here again but would love if blinds/curtains were added to the room next to the kitchen.

This is a nice cozy home. The front deck is great for enjoying morning coffee. Walking distance to everything. Bring your own pool towels. Would definitely stay here again.

Owner has taken great care to make the home comfortable and well equipped. We had a temporary problem with internet, but the owner was so helpful with an immediate response.

Good. Grille didn't work, expected 2 twin beds in one room, had to call to get entry code, no dishwasher. Host great to work with. Location awesome for walking places.

Had everything we needed. Was the perfect place for us. Owners were always so responsive and easy to get a hold of for what ever we needed. Very comfortable. Even included some games we played. Was super fun. Would love to stay here again.

This house is within walking distance of everything in town. There are great porches on the front and back entrances of the house perfect for sitting and relaxing day and night. Bedrooms were comfortable and the home had everything we needed. We will definitely stay here again!

Considering that this is a 100 yr old home it is very large, modern, and clean. We were so delighted with how cute the yard and the house were. We spent the evening in front of the fireplace playing board games. The neighborhood was quiet. The beds comforable. We are spoiled now and this will be our "to go" place the next time we are staying in Lava. Thank you so much.

While we understand the property is old, it doesn’t excuse the lack of cleanliness that we encountered. There was grime and dust on most of the surfaces and the home hasn’t been thoroughly cleaned in a very long time. In the kitchen, the oven had a dirty baking pan inside and the oven itself needed cleaning. No trash bags were provided and the area under the sink where we were told to find them was horrifying. The bathroom was in desperate need of upgrade (caulking was cracked and the linoleum was filthy)and the toilet brush used to clean the toilet was mildewy and disgusting. The ceiling fans, light fixtures, and windows were covered in dust and the outdoor furniture needed to be wiped down before being able to sit. The directions told us to wash dishes and take out the trash; however no cleaning supplies, dish towels or trash bags were provided to complete these simple tasks. It is not reasonable to charge every guest a cleaning fee and then be met with a less than sanitary place to stay, and we would like to request a refund of that fee. Photos are available for review.

Beautiful location located near the end of town. The property owners were very accommodating and responsive to any concerns that we had. We really enjoyed our time on our stay.

This was a perfect place to stay in Lava Hot Springs. Everything you could want plus an easy walk to town and the hot springs. Very thoughtful touches. Definitely will stay again.

This house was just right for our short bachelorette party. We walked everywhere. The beds were comfortable. Everything worked. The house is old and we did kill the power once but it was an easy fix and the response from the owner was quick. It is an old house, like most houses in Lava. It was clean overall but about as clean as a house that old can get. But I would definitely recommend. The owners were easy to work with, provided coupons for local restaurants and the price was wonderful.

The Moonlight Cottage was perfect for our girls trip. It was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. The location on Main Street was in walking distance to everything we wanted to do. If you can, rent the E bikes and do the 5 mile loop around Lava! It was beautiful! The only downside about staying on Main Street is that is noisy and the train at night adds to it. Everything else about this little cottage definitely out ways that! Best little spot for a relaxing vacation!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very close to town. One negative is the oven needed cleaning but overall it was great. We had a lot of fun!

Cute house right on Main Street. Walking distance to hot springs, one block from grocery store. Comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen. We were very comfortable here.

We drove past it at first, because we got there later than we wanted, it was dark...holy moly were we so excited to see the place. Thank you for the clean everything. Every attention to detail was noticed. My adult daughter is an IKEA fan, and was telling me "see how lovely things are?" kind of funny...anyhow...we will be back. It was absolutely a nice break for us. Thank you, the Carlisles.
