Barry was a wonderful host. The house was perfect for us, in a great location and the pool was just what we needed. Celebrating my daughter’s birthday with family and the best friends here was absolutely fantastic. We look forward to coming back to Barry’s house again soon! He was so kind and concerned with our comfort and satisfaction with the home. Very attentive and quick to respond.

My family and I just returned from spending a week here and loved every second of it! We have other family in the area so we hosted a handful of mini reunions. It was the perfect setup for entertaining/relaxing. The home itself is beautifully decorated, the beds are extremely comfortable, the bathrooms are great (the master shower comes with ambient lighting options!). The pool/patio area is stunning. We couldn't get over the size of the pool! The surrounding area has plenty of comfortable seating and lounge chairs. The space is also fenced in and very private. It definitely feels like a lovely respite in Lake Charles. Barry takes exceptional care of his home, keeping it very clean and put together. He is the perfect host!! Always warm, kind and quick to reply. We couldn't have felt more at home in his beautiful home. We'll definitely be back!

We went to Lake Charles, LA for a family wedding and stayed at Barry's house for the duration of our stay. Barry was wonderful to us & treated us like family. Thank you, Mr. Barry! We'll look forward to seeing you again sometime!

The house was in a great location. The beds were super comfortable. We enjoyed the pool the most. This house was just what we needed.

Interior a 9.5 ....exterior needs cleaning and right off of road so a bit noisey at night..

Check in was 2 hours late!!! When the owner finally let us in, the home was disgusting. There was signs of bed begs, mold in the bathroom, light fixtures falling down…it was horrible. I called VRBO and they told us we had to work it out with the owner. So, we spent the first night of our vacation walking the home with Barry and pointing out all the problems. We then had to find a new place to stay with our 2 dogs! It was a nightmare. Now he is refusing to refund our money and not responding to us at all. Do NOT stay here!

Barry was great staying in touch making sure all was going well. We really enjoyed the pool although water was a bit cold due to cloudy days. The house is located only minutes away from pretty much everything. This was an absolute plus as it made it very convenient to go back to check on our pups. Our pups also enjoyed their walks in the very quiet neighborhood. Also, the super comfy beds were absolutely amazing.

Have stayed more than once. Ad always Barry is a wo derful host and thr place served us well and is convenient to everything. Will always look to Barry first if we return.

It was all it was advertised to be the the host is most accommodating. Place was clean and well maintained and pretty much 10 minutes from everywhere.

The house was very spacious and the beds were super comfortable.

Very comfortable beds, great kitchen and dining room for family meals or entertaining. Beautiful yard and pool. Abundant parking. Convenient location to anywhere in Lake Charles.

House was good for 5 people. It was nice. Close to casinos, close to stores and the pool was amazing. We had to check in late because the house wasn't ready and the sink was leaking but aside from that it was good. We had a great time here. Barry was very nice and gave us a tour of the house. Recommend if you're looking for a place to relax without leaving the house. :)

We had a very nice time renting this house. Barry , our host, was very helpful from the very beginning from helping me book to anything I needed during our stay. The house is decorated beautiful and the pool is large with plenty of outdoor seating. It rained a lot of our visit so it put a damper on our pool time but we still enjoyed the home itself and seeing the surrounding area like the mall, restaurants and small shopping stores. Barry made sure we were comfortable and taken care of the whole stay which made it that much more meaningful. I’ll book again next summer and recommend him and his house to all of my friends.

Pretty home! Gorgeous decor! Home wasn’t ready on time but Barry kept in touch. He was gracious and showed us around. Beds were sooo comfortable! While the home was sanitized, there was not attention to detail that most VRBO properties have (yard groomed, area swept, pool area cleaned). That said, we had a wonderful stay!

We rented this beautiful home as a family getaway. The grandkids absolutely loved the pool and the parents loved the oh so comfy beds. I loved having us all together, pups and all, in such a lovely, spacious, and inviting atmosphere! Would definitely go again!

Stayed at this location because of the pool. We had family come over to visit and the kitchen was great for cooking and entertaining. Barry was a great host.

Barry communicated well up until it was time to get the keys. I traveled 10 hours with my family for him to keep pushing back the check in time. At around 9pm 10 hours after he said I could check in he stopped answering me all together. I purchased two hotel rooms for my family thinking I had got scammed. He finally called me back around 11 pm. I went and got the keys and there were still workers there and the house and pool were not ready. He promised he would take what I spent for my rooms off of my total and never did. It took two days for the pool to be usable and we only had one day that we had patio cushions for the chairs. People were in and out everyone including Barry was very sketchy and I didn’t feel comfortable even leaving my teenage daughter there alone. He pushed off my refund until I left and now he will not respond. So I paid for a night at the house and two hotel rooms for his inability to have the house ready as promised. And I booked over two months in advance

We had a very easy and fun time in Lake Charles and staying at this house made it even better. Kitchen was great, everything i needed to cook for everyone. Air conditioning kept home very comfortable. Will stay again if ever back in town. Thank you Berry

Property is convenient to everything Lake Charles has to offer. Home was very nice and the beds were super comfy. My family enjoyed having a pool o site.

House was recently redone and very cute and comfortable. This is such a better option than staying at the casinos.

Barry was really nice and we loved the house. Our daughter enjoyed the pool so much. We really had no need to leave, all she wanted to do was swim. Everything was great, bed was comfortable, and plenty of towels (there are never enough when you travel). We would love to stay here again! This was flustered perfect for a family getaway. We recommend this house for sure!

This property had a great kitchen grateful and plenty of room for all four of us while we were in the Louisiana area The host communicated very well and was more than helpful every step of the way

The property is a value in the making obviously it is being remodeled or maybe fixed from the hurricane. But it fit our needs well and will be amazing when it is completed

It was a nice surprise to see the home has been remodeled, much more modern than the Vrbo photos showed. Although the homeowner walked us through his property we still could have used a written sheet of instructions but Barry was good about responding to our text.

I met 3 friends in Lake Charles for a few days of golf. It was everything we wanted, newly renovated throughout.

This home is officially our 2nd home now when we wanna get away for a little while. Barry is an awesome host. The pool was HUGE and beautiful. The home was beautiful and clean. Barry has pretty much all you need as far as pots and pans and utensils towels you name it he had it. We will definitely be booking again and again and again lol. Barry thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Thank you for everything!!!

Mr Barry was amazing. Very nice person and very easy to deal with.

Old falling apart house and pool area. Everything was super dirty like: light switches, doors, kitchen cabinets, floor, garbage can, when we got there pool was full of dog hair etc . If we knew that this place was so dirty and old we would never stay there.

From the very beginning to the end, we enjoyed our stay. The house was exactly what it looked like in the pics. It was clean and comfortable, things were easily accessible, the air conditioning worked great in this July heat, plenty of towels for our stay, the pool was sparkling clean. Our host Barry was readily available for any questions we had and our overall experience was great!
