Stayed 2 nights to enjoy what twizel had to offer over the festival weekend, loved both outdoor and indoor fire, loved the snow capped mountain view in the morning, great place to come back too after day out with friends, the outside shower was a hit too.

Great experience at twizel. Very friendly and helpful people. House was excellent with two room at rear off house and the rest up front the younger group was able to have there own space .

We were a group of 3 families with young kids. We felt house was even better than photos- really well equipped kitchen which was fabulous for our mid-winter feasting! After a chilly start the whole house warmed up with the fire & heat pump as needed. Lovely activities nearby, fresh salmon was great. Kids loved the diggers in the park at end of street!

Amazing family getaway
We were a group of 3 families with young kids. We felt house was even better than photos- really well equipped kitchen which was fabulous for our mid-winter feasting! After a chilly start the whole house warmed up with the fire & heat pump as needed. Lovely activities nearby, fresh salmon was great. Kids loved the diggers in the park at end of street!

Great, but a few issues
This is a great house, lots of space for a big group and in a fantastic location really close to everything. We did however have a few issues during our stay. The oven does not work properly, and when this failed to cook our food the BBQ was our plan B, but we found that it was a charcoal bbq with no supplies for use, and the instructions attached were for a gas bbq that did not exist. Luckily one of our party had brought a cast iron camp oven with them that we used on the gas hob inside (the gas ran empty halfway through our stay, and while it was an inconvenience, it was quickly remedied by the owner) We also found that a few of the supplied pans were really filthy so can't have been checked between guests. It would be nice to have a bigger supply of things such as teatowels/dishcloths for lengthy stays. All in all a good stay, but with a bit of attention to detail it could have been excellent!

We had 2 nights here while we were cycling the Alpes to Ocean cycle trail and enjoyed having 4 decent bedrooms, and a well equipped kitchen. It had a lovely feel to it and was easy walking distance to town and everywhere we needed to go.

It had a lovely feel to it and was easy walking distance to town and everywhere we needed to go.
