Everything was good but for the construction

White sand beach and crystal clear blue water. Very relaxing, and plenty to do.

Had an amazing time. Unit was clean, comfortable with quick beach access. Would definitely stay again.

Great location in low rise district for a quiet vacation. Clean unit, comfy bed, walking distance to supermarket and restaurants.

This was a seamless process from start to finish. The place was in a great location. Clean. Beautiful. Easy to communicate with owners. Would rent again!

Long story but here goes it. First, the morning I boarded the plane to travel to Aruba, I received a text stating that I needed to check in under someone else's name or I would be charged extra. That was a red flag. Second, I arrived at La Cabana only to find that we were not registered to stay. I showed the email confirmation from VRBO and the text message I received. The resort staff it was fraudulent and told me to contact VRBO. I contacted VRBO and "Christian" from RRP. It took almost 3 hours to sort it out. While I was there 2 other couples told me they arrived 3 days before us and told us they had similar issues and was told by La Cabana staff it was a scam. I was so rattled! Eventually folks from RRP helped us sort it all out and we were able to get a room. Third, the staff at La Cabana were great, friendly and were helpful. Fourth, the resort was great! The people were great! The location was great! The weather was great! The drinks and activities were great! Fifth, when we checked out we were charged a hefty tax AGAIN! When I stated that we paid taxes on the initial stay they told me we needed to pay taxes again. I tried to speak with a manager but they kept me waiting for over an hour and we had to leave to catch our flight. Lastly, I don't even know how to review this "adventure". The beginning of the vacation was awful, the middle was pleasant and the end was truly a rip-off. My best advice would be to contact the resort if directly if you were to stay.

LaCabana is great. Owners of this unit are the worst I've ever dealt with in any rental in my life. I spent many hours trying to get correct information to check in. They only had me registered for four nights instead of seven. I was already at LaCabana and dealt with the staff there. Luckily, the lady at Blue-Green at LaCabana took pity on me and took care of the situation and let me check in. 1 out of 10 service from owners.

La Cabana never disappoints been coming here for over 15 years with my family. Great place If you want a quieter Aruba vacation this is the place. Best of all you are footsteps from Eagle Beach - the most beautiful beach in the Carribean - love it here!!

Conveniently located between downtown and the high rise hotels. Easy access to local bus or taxi. Eagle Beach just across the street!

We've been coming to LaCabana for years. We couldn't get a room through our timeshare so used VRBO...perfection as always

Easy chech in, lived the room

The staff was very friendly and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. I didn't like that I had to change rooms 2 days into my trip. They did upgrade the room but it was a little inconvenient. The room was cleaned 1x in the 6 days I was there. Meaning moping and so forth. Clean towels and bedding was provided. There was a couple days I requested to have them change the sheets again they felt a little sandy.

We had a great stay and really enjoyed the amenities in the room and resort. The "Pros" definitely out-weigh the "Cons" thus the 5 star rating. Pros: Location, large pool, nearby grocery store and beach. Staff were all very friendly, cheerful and helpful. Las Ramblas great for dinner (also see cons). Plenty of lounge chairs, umbrellas and palapas at beach and pool (also see Cons...) Cons: Lounge chair saving games very annoying, especially with the heat. (Everyone should get a turn having shade and not leave empty chairs for hours!). Drinks VERY pricey. Las Ramblas was very busy and a line-up of people right there eyeing us up waiting for us to leave and the host was a bit unfriendly (perhaps the facilities could be expanded given the popularity and size of the resort). Room: plenty of space so a king bed would be nice. Very noisy adjoining door. Room location wasn't great, near back of property and quite a walk to and from the beach. If we stay longer next time, it would be ideal to have a ground floor unit facing the pool. Only stayed for 3 nights so we understood why we didn't get the best spot. Regardless, all in all a great resort! We would return.

Eagle Beach is the best beach in Aruba and LaCabana is just a skip away by crossing the road - but even the cars stop to let you cross. The process of acquiring a cabana needs improving but we are used to it. My husband is an early riser (3:30am) - which is necessary if you have any chance of securing a cabana. We have been coming to LaCabana for many years. It is much better than the high rise area and Palm Beach unless you like LOTS of people/activity/night life. Don't book LaCabana with VRBO, however!! We booked for 10 days under one reservation number and one property ID# but when we checked in we found out we would have to move to a different unit TWICE during our 10 day stay. It took a couple days and the powers that be at LaCabana to change it so we would not have to move. They said they have nothing but trouble with VRBO and, indeed, will not be changing any units for anyone booking with VRBO again. VRBO bundles reservations without you knowing it and gives the resort separate reservations under one name necessitating changing units. If it is not booked with LaCabana it is out of their hands but gives them a bad name when the customer is not happy - like me!!
