We overall loved our stay - so clean, comfortable, and very nicely decorated- the grill was very corroded so we sadly didn’t use. The upstairs shower drains pretty slow. Loved having the ability to wash clothes but the dryer door would not stay closed!! That being said, we would stay here again and really appreciated your communication with us and allowing us to enter early!

This old house lacks curb appeal, but it is great on the inside and in the backyard. Great location near Lua Brewing and other breweries and restaurants that we visited during our one night stay in Des Moines. It was the perfect house to end our National Parks road trip to the west. The house was very nice and met the needs or our party (4 adults, 3 children). I highly recommend and would stay here again.

We has a great experience here. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit was a great space for the adults to hang out.
One of the kids left a pair of shorts behind and the host was so helpful and shipped them back to us. So awesome of them to go above and beyond.

We stayed here for the goodguys carshow at the fairgrounds. Ample parking for our 3 cars on the driveway. Hot tub and outdoor area was great. Kitchen was large enough to accomodate our group. Bathrooms/bedrooms clean. Decorated cute too! Great place!

We had a group staying at the Cow Tipper for my friend's bachelorette party. We had a great time and the rental home was perfect for our group. Owners were great and easy to communicate with. Would definitely stay again!

The home was nice and comfortable. We were there for a race weekend at Iowa speedway so we spent very little time at the house. Basically just slept and showered there. The beds were comfortable and the showers were nice, good water pressure.

Everything we needed was available during our stay! The owners were very responsive to any questions that we had. The "extras" (hot tub, firepit, Wii, jungle gym) were a nice touch and fun for activities for our little one. We also enjoyed walking to dinner each night, as there are many restaurants within a one block walking distance.

We wanted to stay somewhat close to home for spring break, within 6 hours of our home in Missouri. My daughter picked Iowa so I searched for things to do and places to stay. This rental was perfect location to the heart of Des Moines. 5-10 min drive to everything we did. Concert at the Wells Fargo arena, zoo, monsterama arcade, bowling, escape room, and many restaurants. Beds were comfortable and each room had a smart tv. Kitchen had everything needed plus some . Plenty of towels and laundry on site.

The Cow Tipper meet all our needs. The house is exactly as represented on line. And very clean. We used it as a home base for my son's wedding in downtown Des Moines. The location was close to downtown and also had great restaurant and bar options along Ingersoll Ave, just one block south. Would highly recommend staying here!

We stayed here for the BBQ competition at the state fair. The place was just as described and pictured. The backyard was amazing with the hot tub, firepit, and a table for eating. There were plenty of towels for the 4 of us in our group. Check in and check out were easy.

The property met all our needs and expectations during our stay. It was clean, had all the necessities, and provided great entertainment in the game room to occupy two10-year olds. It was in close proximity to downtown Des Moines with easy access and ample parking. The backyard patio was a nice place to return to after long days at the State Fair. I would certainly recommend this as a family friendly property. Instructions for check in and check out were clear and easy, and owners were accommodating. Overall a very good experience.

This was a great place to stay for our families who were in Des Moines for a softball tournament. We had 2 families stay and it was a great central location for the different ball fields.
The property was very clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone to have their own space. The kids loved the game room and hot tub. We didn’t have time to have a fire, but the back yard is very lovely and private.
Since we were at the ballpark most of the time we didn’t have time to explore downtown much, but we would stay again if we are ever back in DSM!

Every year I take a group to Des Moines for my birthday, this year we had 8 people. We couldn’t have asked for a better location and place to stay. Super clean, plenty of room, incredibly cozy and comfortable, very reasonable check in and check out times, no annoyingly long check out list or anything. Hosts were prompt and went well out of their way to accommodate. We will definitely book here again in the future!

My husband and I stayed here with my 86 year old mother, 3 children and 2 spouses, our two grandchildren and our dogs! It was the perfect set up! Fenced in backyard, near a park, baby gate for the stairs, high chair, porta crib AND toys! We loved every minute! The hosts are wonderful and when I messaged them at 11 pm at night that the stove had stopped they responded within minutes! Easy fix-we’d tripped a GFI outlet. Adored this older home and can’t wait to come back!

Very clean property./cozy.
Owners very easy to talk to. We went to an eagles concert, so we did not spend a lot of time in the house.
It’s nice that they allow 10 people, but really 8 sleep comfortably, the last bed is in a very small central living area, so it’s ok, but no privacy.
We really loved our cozy stay at this home.
The beds are really comfortable, and the remodeled bathrooms are great.

Was a great little house, 3 private bedrooms sleeping a total of 6, 2 pullout sofa beds- 1 in living room 1 in back room sleeping a total of 4. Only difficulty was not having hot water for all people to shower. Neighborhood is in the process of being restored/renovated.
