This is a special place and the second time we’ve stayed at this home. It’s an older house and well equipped. There’s plenty of space to spread out. We spent most of our time on the large deck and on the sandy beach. We also enjoyed the two kayaks. During our visit a local spotted a whale and we saw an otter swim by in the early morning. All in all a truly special time.

My family of 4 stay here for 3 nights. We loved the location right on the beach. Each morning a bald eagle would sit on a piece of driftwood in front of the house on the beach. It was amazing. The house is well stocked and we were very comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer.
We visited deception pass and took the ferry to Friday Harbor for kayaking and whale watching. Great fun!

The house is great with plenty. Of beds and fabulous deck. Bald eagles love it there and the off leash dog park is steps away.

The location was fabulous and the house was beautiful and comfortable and the site had everything you could need for a wonderful vacation. We had seven family members ranging from 10 to 70 and we had plenty of room for everyone. There were eagles perched on the beach every morning, what a site! My whole family enjoyed beach combing and fishing and what a wonderful spot to hang out. This is my first time using VRBO and I will definitely use the site again and rent this beach house again. It exceeded all my expectations.

We were in awe of the vacation house. It was a peaceful stay and just whst our family needed! We came together to memorialize our father who lived Whidbey Island and the waters of Puget Sound. He designed alot of The Seattle Skyline years ago so fitting to have the view ahead of us. We used the boats available and shared stories of our summers at Lagoon Point a bit North of Double Bluff. We hope to stay again sometime. Thank you!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It’s in the best beach and street on Whidbey and we loved the location. The cabin is well maintained and the new deck is beautiful. The second bathroom had also recently been updated with a second shower so that was a wonderful surprise. Thanks for sharing your cabin!

We stayed for a weekend, an adult, child and a dog. We had an amazing time, the house is located just right on the beach, we enjoyed our walks, seeing the water from the living room. Description is accurate and the communication with the owner was top great. Well come again!

This trip was amazing for our family (2.5 yo and 4.5 yo). Kids roasted marshmellows and our dog ran the beach. Can’t wait to come back!

We very much enjoyed our beach stay at this cabin. We are huge fans of Whidbey and this location is top notch. The beds were comfortable and everything we needed to cook and make ourselves at home was available. And the view is amazing!!!

Brought the dog and went for many, many walks at Double Bluff off-leash park. Had a nice takeout meal from China City restaurant. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cooking equipment. Loved the smores!

Great property, fit my family of 5 + dog perfectly! A short walking distance from Double Bluff Park so the dog could get some off-leash time. My daughter accidentally left a blanket and the host was super helpful in getting it back. I already booked again for the summer!

Easy communication with owner. Beach one of my favorites. Well equipped kitchen, nice hot water shower. The 3rd bedroom isn't exactly a full room, and that was our only downside. But we would definitely go back.

The property was great, as advertised: comfortable, well stocked and gorgeous views! The only downside was housekeeping left with the key. I called the owner and we had the key in 30 minutes or so.

I had a great stay! My dog was so happy to be so close to the dog beach. This location is great and the property manager was easy to get in touch with! I will be renting again!

It was my daughters wedding so we booked out over a year in advance. Great location and loved walking early in the morning. Very quiet.
Only hiccup was that I couldn’t get into the property because the key wasn’t left for me. I had to wait over an hour to finally track down the key from the housekeeper.
Would definitely stay again. Great beach.

The house worked perfect for our short 2 short night stay. This place is amazing! To better our stay we would have appreciated bedroom ceiling fans or stand fans due to lack of a cooling breeze. Unfortunately the next door neighbor was doing concrete saw-cutting of their outdoor patio for most of the day - which was somewhat annoying.
All in all…..a really great time! Kayaks, fire pit, BBQ, kitchen were well stocked and all really set up perfectly!

My son and daughter in law and granddaughter stayed here for 2 nights, it was a perfect setup. The downstairs is a fun place and makes for a separate sleeping area if you need that. The deck and beach area were set up for many hours of enjoying the view and long walks. The kayaks were a bonus! Lovely neighborhood.

The house is comfortable, location could not be more perfect. Communication with the Host of the property was excellent. We are returning guests from a previous stay and quality has been maintained for cleaniness, and supplies! We plan on returning for next summer!

We are told this is a rare find for the location. Not many rentals in this area. Lovely house. Clean and had everything we needed. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 dogs. We spent most of our time on the large deck, kayaking, or walking the beach. Beach is fun to explore. Lots of sea life. Loved using the fire pit at dusk. We cooked in and found everything we needed. King bed very comfortable. 2 of our adult guests said they slept okay on the lower level bed but it is more set up for kids (as it’s advertised to be). There are two bathrooms but only one shower we took turns using. The second bath only has a tub. We will definitely be back.

Great stay. Enjoyed being up at the beach on Useless Bay. Nice new deck. Dining room chairs a little wobbly and there is only one shower (plus a second bathroom with a tub) but it was delightful. Comfortable beds. My only concern that was not addressed was dripping water in the front outdoor tap on the beachside. Having been going up to the island for 60 years, I know water should not be wasted and although I left a message for the property manager, this was not addressed.
We were up there for 2 weeks with family and friends. Everyone enjoyed the eagle who visited during high tide.

Great location 1/4 mile walk down the beach from the off leash dog area. We were constantly visited by a bald eagle or two, herons, many other birds to watch. Great sandy beach with driftwood. The house is clean and very well stocked with a large new deck, full wall of windows facing the beach, lots of outdoor seating, tables, fire pit. Property manager/owners are friendly and easy to deal with.

We had such a wonderful time. The view was spectacular. The house was clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need for a great stay - cozy blankets, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, and any anything else you could think of. The host even left the fixings for smores, which was a big hit at our bonfire on our first night. Communication was excellent. The listing said there was a kayak, but we didn't see it - though the weather was a little too cold and choppy so it wasn't a big issue. We can't wait to come back again!

The best part of this home is its location. Incredible beach combing. The home is quaint. The beds are SO HIGH.

Lovely house. Beautiful view! Im sure that the summer months would be more appealing as the lower level was too cold to use, only a small wall heater. The sliding door to the outside was broken and unusable, but not that big a deal since the back door was close. Small, but very well stocked kitchen! Sadly, my pet left a mess that I was unaware of downstairs that I was charged for, but not complaining, just embarrassed. I didn’t go down there to check for cleanliness before I left. One thing, I asked about firewood and was assured that there was plenty but upon arrival a note said to go buy it at the store in Freeland. Wish I had known before arrival.

This house had everything you could need/want for a vacation rental. Fully equipped with anything you may have forgotten + and is feet from the shore at high tide. I always bring my pillow from home when traveling but the bedding and pillows were so incredibly comfortable and nice, I didn’t use mine at all. Super clean, quiet, comfortable place to visit. We will be back!

My family and I were blessed this year to spend a few days at “The Beach House”. On New Year’s Eve we were surprised to find out that we could see the fireworks at the Space Needle, even though it was so far away. Walks on the beach, exploring the state parks and generally just relaxing was great. We brought our teenagers and our two sweet Shibas. They (kids and Shibas) love the beach. We lived in Hawaii for a number of years and I think they really needed the beach time. At night we found a lot of sea life in pools etc. On our last day we enjoyed the most amazing sunrise! The sky was blue with streaks of orange, perfect views of Mt Rainer and Seattle with a few Bald Eagles flying very close to the house.

Wonderful location on one of Whidbeys best beaches. We loved watching the eagles, gulls and sea otters. Our December stay brought every weather imaginable, but we were cozy and content at the beach house. Our dog enjoyed walks on the beach and in the friendly neighborhood. Katy was easy to reach when I had a couple of questions. Overall a great experience.

Amazing location right on the bay. The house itself is plenty big with two master suites and 4 more beds for kids or family members. There was a nice game room, and the kitchen had all the needed pots and pans. Only 15 minutes from Langley, and ten from the grocery store. One of the favorite houses we have rented, will definitely go back

This is a paradise for all ages (and species). Our dog was so happy too! The ocean in front and wetlands behind with a flock of white pelicans and shore birds. Quiet, friendly neighbors. We will be back!
