We spent two days at Big Blue for a staff planning retreat. It was perfect for our needs! With only 8 of us, we had more than enough room and plenty of space to spread out and do our work. During breaks some from our team took to the beach, others recharged in the fabulous library, and a couple even enjoyed an afternoon nap! For our team, it was a great getaway that supported both our planning and our team building! We hope to do this again for our next team planning activity. Thanks to our marvelous hosts for letting us stay at this absolutely stunning property!

We loved the house! It is beautiful and very clean and located in a perfect spot to just relax and play. Lots of nice finishing touches to the decor, appliances, and furnishings. We hated to leave!

This home is as luxurious as it looks in the pictures. The kitchen truly is fully stocked with everything you need for cooking, and the house’s layout is perfect for large families. We felt comfortable from the beginning. The pool was great for the kids after a day at the beach, and the great room and kitchen area provided plenty of space for all of us (20) to gather for meals, games, and conversation. Fantastic!

Great home to rent with kids and adults. Great views of the ocean from all floors of the house. Pool on site, but a resort pool 100 yards away. Walking distance to the beach or 5minute golf cart ride. Very quiet on the weekdays and then picks up on Friday.

This was the best beach house we ever rented. It is beautiful and very well maintained. The kitchen had every item one could need. The owners provided kitchen and bathroom supplies to start the week so it was not necessary to go to the store on arrival. The house has a lovely view of a pond with birds, golf course, and the gulf from the main floor (3 floor). The community pool was heated and 1/2 block away. The beach access was close and a golf cart provided. It was a fabulous week!!!

This home was absolutely beautiful, and we had a perfect stay! The entire rental process, including check-in & check-out, was painless and simple. The home had everything you would need-complete with beach towels, beach chairs, sand toys, etc. Would definitely rent again and highly recommend!

This house is perfect for large family vacation of a company retreat. You get exactly what is advertised and more. Use of golf cart made going to the beach pleasurable, the amenities within the community were amazing. Pool cabana rentals, beach chair and umbrella rentals. We loved it so much, can’t wait to go back!!!

Upon arrival main floor refrigerator smelled of fish. When you opened frig the smell permeated the whole house. Called housekeeping - comment was we thought fish smell would have been gone by now, indicating that they knew of it and hadn't come back to alleviate the smell. Had to unload the interior of the refrigerator while housekeeping wiped down with bleach/water/soap. Smell of bleach masked fish smell for awhile but smell came back and stayed for 5 of the 7 days of rental. Ice from ice-maker, uncovered food and anything else in the fridge smelled of fish. Ice was unusable and got by on bags of ice out of ice chest for the entire stay. Asked housekeeping to come back out and never got a person to respond except through text. Barbecue grill was filthy and had to be thoroughly cleaned before we could use. Dead bugs were prevalent in master and main floor - exterminators must have just sprayed. No live bugs - just dead ones that had not been swept up. House is an incredible vacation home but Turnkey Mgmt is very difficult to deal with. Tried on several occasions to speak with supervisors to address the situation - none would answer or return calls. Under different management and housekeeping we would return - house is that nice but cleaning, maintenance of the property of this caliber is not in their wheelhouse.

Everyone in our group was thrilled with this property! Main pool is across the street, chairs, umbrella and golf cart were very handy. Everyone wants the library in their house!!

Pretty views are what this property has going for it. The golf cart is in terrible condition. My opinion is-you will still need to rent your own golf cart. Golf cart is rusty, VERY VERY hard to turn-dangerously hard-and it didn’t work at all when we first got there. We could smell the breakfast from the family that stayed at the house before. And the house seemed “stinky”. The filters or something need to be cleaned. May I suggest a day in between renters also. Lots of room and nice views though. House has everything you need.

We had a wonderful relaxing vacation with our family and grandchildren. The house was spacious and well appointed and we enjoyed cooking family meals together and lounging at the beach or the pool. The view was absolutely amazing as you looked out over the dunes or at the lake in front of the house. Lots of birds to watch in the lake. Having the ocean breeze made everything outdoors bearable even with the heat binder at 105F. We plan to return next year.

Everyone agreed this was the best one yet. Having an elevator to take up bags and groceries to the 3rd floor kitchen / main living area was a huge plus. 2 of the couples and all the kids stayed in the 4 bedrooms on the second floor. The boys loved their bunk room, which became gaming central. The 3 girls were great in their twin bed room with pull out trundle bed. Both rooms were across the house from the parents 2 rooms, so no issues with noise from the kids rooms. The 2 other couples were on the 1st and 4th floors. Every level had outstanding views off a porch, and from 2-4 you looked out at a beautiful pond, sand dune and ocean, as well as the golf course. The main living area had a dining table that held us all, as well as bar seating for another 4 people if needed. The only thing we would add to the kitchen was a second dishwasher. With out group, we were running it daily, and sometimes twice. Having the 6 person golf cart was a bonus, and we rented another to move our crew around. The pool area was great, and we pre-rented 2 bungalows next to each other for 2 of the days, to be able to get out of the sun. We also had umbrellas and chairs set up for the adults every day at the beach, another huge plus. We had a short 3 hour period one day when the AC quit working on the 3rd floor, but Turnkey walked us through trying a few things to fix it, then getting an AC Company there to repair what ended up being a bad thermostat. It was repaired within 3 hours of our call. Port Aransas still has the feel of a small beach town, versus some to the more upscale spots in the Seaside / Watercolor area of Florida we had rented in a few years back. Plenty of good restaurants, and the Black Marlin and Reds at Palmillo Beach Club were very good. They also brought the food to the pool and even the beach if you wanted it. I bet we return here soon.

Also, there needs to be better communication on how the garbage pick-up works. We had the days of pickup, but the garbage cans were never picked up out of the holding area on the side of the house. If it is up to the renter to put the cans out on the curb, then say so. If not, then the Palmilla Garbage Services missed our pickup. After 6 days, there was a ton of garbage from 17 folks. Recommend more explicit instructions on the garbage front.

This property was amazing! Plenty of space and bathrooms! The view from all of the balconies were perfect views of the ocean. Kitchen had everything we needed and having two fridges, wine fridge, and ice maker made cooking and eating in wonderful! The 6 seat golf cart was icing on the cake. I highly recomend this place!

Their attention to detail from color choices, decor, furniture, high end sheets, towels, any and every pot, pan, dish, cups, utensils, pretty much anything you should need they supplied for us.Each floor had a beautiful balcony to enjoy that fresh air with a cup of coffee.There are 4 floors so the use of the elevator came in VERY handy! The pool is just a stones throw away form the home, so it was nice to go to after a day at the beach.The home provided a 6 person golf cart, which we really appreciated.The golf cart ride to the beach was maybe a minute drive. We took advantage of having the Beach Club set up chairs and umbrellas for us for a very minimal price. They also offer food service from their two restaurants while you are on the beach if you wanted.We truly had a wonderful stay in Port A and I have to say it was because of this lovely home and its location to beach and downtown. We DEFINITELY recommend staying at Big Blue and I don't see us staying anywhere else!

The house was very clean and well stocked even with detergent, dish soaps, paper products and toiletries. The use of the golf cart was helpful to get to the pool and beach. We have 17 people in our family, and there was plenty of room for everyone. We never felt crowded. We hope to stay here again.
