Exceeded expectations

This is a beautiful property and a house that makes your jaw drop. As our family of 7 exited our cars and made the walk around the house we were excited for our time celebrating a 40th birthday and our first time together in over a year. Only to experience multiple days and nights of the AC not working in over a 100 degree weather . We booked this house for Fourth of July and the days following. When we reported the AC issues with in an hour of our arrival. Porter was not able to get anyone out due to the holiday and we all had to find an alternate way to spend my birthday and the Fourth as most the house was uninhabitable. Our complaint was with Porter the property management company due to their lack of care. After the first initial call to Porter I had to call 4 more times the next day before we got any response. When Porter finally responded they could not get anyone out till our trip was over. I believe if I would not have continued to call Porter and email Porter they would not have tried to get anyone out sooner to handle a broken AC in 103 degree Arizona heat. I have requested a bit of compensation for our struggle while staying here and their response was they will discuss it internally. After we left they claim we did damage with no proof it was us trying to deflect from our claim for compensation. I hope this property owner changes property management companies because they will continue to have bad reviews if they don’t.

We had a great time using this spacious house as our home base as we explored Sedona!

We had a lovely stay at Sitgreaves. It was a great setup for us, as we had our three young children as well as my senior parents. My parents were able to stay in the pool house; so we all had lots of privacy yet had the opportunity to hang out together as much or as little as we wanted. :)

The home is beautiful, large and located in a quiet neighborhood on a golf course in Oak Creek. Our group of 9 visited over spring break. We were close to popular hikes like bell tower and cathedral rock, but driving into Sedona could take quite a bit of time with heavy traffic. However, it didn’t deter us. The drive into Sedona is stunning and never gets old! The listing advertised the bed in the bunkhouse as a king, it is actually a queen. Additionally, there is no dresser, so those in that room were unable to unpack. My only other criticism about the furniture is that the living room is massive with very little seating. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the cooking utensils we needed for the week and there is a grocery store within 5 minutes. The pool and hot tub were a great add with 5 kids in tow. It is one of the main reasons we chose this home. I let the property management know two to three weeks before we arrived that we wanted the pool heated each day. However, on the day of our arrival, we received notice that the pool heater was broken, indicating to me that they hadn’t checked it prior to our arrival date. I kept asking for a status update on the heater and didn’t receive any additional information after my second day of requests. This property is managed by a rental agency, not the home owner. I made requests for an early check in and pool heating at least 3 times prior to our arrival and neither were fully accommodated. I was repeatedly told to check back in the day before and the day of our arrival. With a minimum night stay, I shouldn’t need to keep checking in past a couple days before. Overall, I wouldn’t let the management deter me from staying here again. The house was a good fit for our families and we had a great time.

The house and location was perfect! We were 15 to 20 minutes from hiking and shops. We are already planning to return next year!
