Lovely hotel in prime location. Beautiful dining area and bar area comfortable. Staff excellent. Handy for transport, shops, food and local attractions. Lots to do by boat 5 mins walk from hotel. Easy access from Central train station.

The location is brilliant, and the food at the restaurant is fantastic, but quite expensive, the staff are wonderful. There is no ramp to wheel your luggage up into the hotel, only 4 steps. The night club downstairs however means that there is loud music that you can hear in the rooms (even ours on the 4th floor) until around 4am on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

I loved the location of this hotel, it was quiet but located on a beautiful park. It was close to both the Old Town and the Museums and shopping. We had a great time! And breakfast was delicious. The staff gave us great recommendations too.

Splendidly situated hotel with good character.

The room was very small and a very odd shape. Loved the windows that opened to the Juliette balcony. The bed was very low, and seemed strangely so. Service was excellent, as was the breakfast, which was a highlight

At first, I was very disappointed at the room I received. The manager found a different room and made it right. I’m so thankful!

The staff at the Berns hotel was absolutely amazing! Super friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was clean and in a great, central location! We loved our stay!

I booked the room for my sister who went to stockholm with a friend. They loved the location, the staff and the restaurant, where they had wonderful breakfast and tasty dinner in the beautiful Asian. In fact everything was great with exception from the room they were given, i had booked the essential room which was one step up from the cosy essential in size, but it turned out being nothing like on the photos.Apart from being tiny it had no views, but instead had a skylight letting the sunshine in.. The bed was amazingly comfortable, At the footend was a huge flatscreen TV that devided the already tiny room. My sister and her friend still enjoyed their stay at this hotel,pointing to all the many positive things that far outweighed the room being small. .

My recent stay at Berns Hotel was incredibly disappointing and frustrating. Upon arrival, my companion (My daughter)and I, two women alone, were left to struggle with our luggage up two sets of stairs with no assistance from the staff, who merely watched us. The hotel room was shockingly small for the price. (And I travel all the world, 4 to 5 times a year at least.) The bathroom and shower are combined with no separation, causing the entire bathroom to get soaked whenever you shower. The floor looked old and dirty, and the hallways had worn-out carpets that made it difficult to move luggage, with no help offered by staff. I witnessed several other guests expressing their dissatisfaction, wanting to change rooms or cancel their reservations. This should have been a red flag. Despite the restaurant looking nice, it’s the only decent aspect of the hotel. The housekeeping was abysmal; rooms were not cleaned properly, and getting a clean towel was nearly impossible. Location is good, but it’s not worth the horrible experience. To top it off, the hotel tried to scam me by charging a smoking fee, falsely accusing me of smoking in the room. They claimed tobacco found in the room was evidence, but it could have easily fallen from my purse or luggage. Despite my repeated requests for proof, they provided none and insisted on the charge. This is outright theft. Avoid this place. There are far better options where you won’t be treated poorly or scammed out of your money.

Beautiful hotel in the center of everything!

Great location as you are near the ferries and public transportation. Historical building with lost of character and charm. Breakfast is served in the restaurant hall which is beautiful. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Only drawback is if you are unfortunate enough to get a room facing the street as every night the music and noise from the downstairs club will keep you up well past midnight.

it is important to remind Americans that there is no AC in the room.

We were not aware that the hotel has a nightclub on the weekends with loud music until 3 AM. We slept poorly the first night because of the incessant beat. But the hotel cheerfully moved us to a better room the next day. My daughter had the same experience with a loud vibration in the room, but they were moved to a better room. It would be helpful to know about this ahead of time to request a quiet room on a higher floor. Otherwise the hotel was excellent! Beautiful, well-maintained, fabulous breakfast, great location, helpful and cheerful staff.

Wonderful location. Close to everything, quiet enough that we could open our window to cool down the room (although a neighbor decided to open theirs and proceed to smoke and talk on the phone loudly late one night). The breakfast and facilities were superb. The bed though was incredibly squeaky, and there were a few nights where I struggled because the bed made a horrendous squeak every single time we moved a fraction of an inch. That’s really my only negative comment about our stay!

Absolutely stunning period hotel which is a delight to come back too at the end of a day of sight seeing. Great breakfasts in the huge chandelier festooned dining hall. Our room was comfortable. We slept well by and large. Hotel rooms can be a bit warm at times and you’ll need to keep your windows open on summers days. Hotel does host events which can generate a distant hubbub of noise. It was silent more or less after midnight though. Staff were really kind and helpful. We had an issue with a room on the night we arrived. We spoke with the receptionist and were given a choice of three alternatives. They helped us move and it was no fuss despite being 10pm. Excellent location if nothing else. Bains hotel is a major landmark in its own right and you’ll feel like your staying in a piece of stockholms history.

The hotel is nice, but my room was a little small and the bathroom was tiny. Seemed a little dated. The restaurant is beautiful, but the weekend has a nightclub attached to the property that was extremely loud. Otherwise it was fine during the week. The location is incredible and that was my favorite part.

Excellent location and really hopping! The restaurant is fun and the food was excellent. Try eating outside if the weather permits. The park setting is beautiful!

My partner and I stayed at the Berns Hotel for a long weekend in May and could not have been happier. The room was beautifully appointed, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the hotel breakfast was absolutely delicious, the hotel location was perfect, and most of all, the staff was incredibly gracious, kind, attentive, and helpful -- up there with the best service we've received at any hotel ever. I could not recommend a hotel more highly; we will absolutely stay there again when we return to Stockholm. Thank you for an amazing stay!

Beautiful hotel, wonderful staff who went above and beyond when I left my camera on a hop-on hop-off bus. It was found and returned with the hotel receptionist's help. Great area around - walk to the water. Convenient to transportation. Would definitely stay there again!

Amazing hotel, breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. Staff were so helpful and remembered personalized points that made the stay even nicer. Location is right in the city center, very close to the cherry blossom trees which is beautiful. Close to groceries, food markets, and Gamla Stan. Would definitely return again!
