the staff were great, but the room is flawed. i stayed in a premium executive room 1412 . I have stayed before, but this room had some issues. It's a big room, but has annoying problems (for the price).
The water is generally highly erratic.... the basin is alwaysn cold... The shower is quite cold at certain times of the day, then really hot at other times of the day. The stupid "pretty but useless " shower tap, fell apart, but is quite erratic in its use, and doesn't seem to do much... not change cold water to hot, nor hot water to cold. Even when standing under it, the temperatuyr changes by 5 degrees for 5 seconds, then suddenly returns. Quite spontaneous and without warning. It's weird and annoying. Close to dangerous when it suddenly gets hot...
The bed in this room is like a concrete slab... OK for China, but noone else. Silly pillows where one is too little but two is too much.
The aircond is also highly erratic. hot/cold... and the controls are weird and non-intuitive.
This was enough to make me pick the Oasia next week when I return and in the future. Their club rooms are same price and WAY bettter.

They are still renovating so the lobby looks amazing. But the room was very old and outdated. Staff was friendly. But some of them are more eager to work then others (some of them are greeting you in the lobby or opening the door for you, others ignore you or are calling privately). Compliments for the young men who cleans the room. I think he is a very proactive and kind, How he leaves the room. Close by metro, hotspots and food places. Only real down point is only sun at the pool between 12 and 4 pm.

We spent 2 nights at the Amara Singapore. The location is good. It's near Chinatown and hawker food centers and the MRT station. The staff was very nice and informative. Thank you Riozuan at the front desk for giving us detailed information about taking the MRT and with maps and labeled the stops and what to see and do and he had ice delivered to our room instead of us looking for the ice machine. The rest of the staff were very attentive and prompt in meeting our needs. We needed extra towels and pillows that they brought up promptly.

I was totally satisfied with the large space and clean facilities for the price. I don't think you need breakfast unless breakfast is included. The shopping mall at the leftside and Tanjong Pagar Plaza in front of the hotel also had cheap and delicious food. Especially, Korean staff was really kind and helpful. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.

Unfortunately, the renovation disruptions made this a less than ideal stay. To be fair we were told about the disruption
but it was more of an inconvenience than we thought it would be. Also we should have had a higher level room with a view as we did pay extra for a premium executive room

This place is very tired, the moment you get out of the elevator the smell is overwhelming, it smells of mould and dust. But the breakfast was great and the staff very helpful.

Due to construction, the property is in haphazard condition and the service was sketchy at best. Everyone on property seemed disoriented.

Have been stay in this hotel for the pass few years ! It is getting ruined ! And during my check in then I know it is in the renovation ! So in the afternoon, I an hear the noise from the renovation ! Staff not friendly anymore!

Stayed here for the third or fourth time. Despite the renovations ongoing, it was quite seem less and easy. I barely knew there was work ongoing. I arrived early but they found me a room and I was able to check in early.

Good location and great service. Housekeeping left a bit to be desired - room wasn’t vacuumed and there were two toenails and a hairpin on the floor when I arrived. Bathroom also had dirty water dripped down the wall and side of the bath, and these were not cleaned off during my four day stay.

Enjoyed 4 days stay as single use. Acceess to the stations were really good to go out to sightsee. The building and the facilities inside were old, but felt the effort to make the room clean.
Towels and two bottles of water had been supplied everyday but the bed sheet had never changed. I wanted to make everything refresh by thinking of the price.

It is very nice to wide room four people and near to go to Maxwell food center and enjoy to take away many kind of foods at the dining kitchen

Breakfast was decent and we were happy that the hotel allowed us to check out at 2 pm and our kids could go for a swim at the pool before checking out. Overall it was a good staycation experience.

Really tired hotel. Was probably the place to be 15 years ago. Worst part was the pool, really looked forward a relaxing time during the hours of day when temperatures were hot, however 3 building sites right next to hotel with constant drilling making it impossible to relax without head phones or earplugs in. Thank god room was quiet. I appreciate it’s not the hotels fault for the building sites next to it but as a costumer it’s disappointing to not have a relaxing time by the pool when you’ve flown nearly 14h to get there.

We stayed at a 2 bed apartment for 3 nights, the hotel is a little dated and tired. The very clean either.
Isn’t the best value for money, could have pay slightly more and stay at Marine Bay instead.
The only positive of this hotel is its location.
