The staff was absolutely amazing. We had to move rooms twice but they did give us a discount. The rooms are very nice. Although Hotel.com has this place listed as a kitchenette it is not, it has a small fridge and microwave but that is not the hotels fault. I could tell that this property was being updated and owner was putting money into it. I can not say enough about the staff, the front desk, the maintenance man, breakfast staff all very friendly! Breakfast was descent although they did run out of plates and some food but I am an understanding person and know these things happen. We were disappointed in the pool as it had lots of hair in it and cold so could not use that plus the hot tub was not working. Again, I am pleased with the room, the service and the fact they are working on things that are not working. They compensated me for the inconvenience of moving and letting them know pool was not satisfactory. That being said, I was very polite in my request and the fine gentleman at the desk did not hesitate to take care of my concerns. I would definitely stay here again and hope the pool is fixed

Clean great service staff goid food options

I will NEVER book with this hotel again. I booked under reserve now pay at the property and by 3:15 the card I used to reserve the room for my daughters birthday was being ran while. I wasn’t even at the property and since my card was locked they cancelled my reservation with a phone call, text, or email. Ruined my daughters Birthday with no remorse at all! The hotel is nice but management sucks!

I really enjoy SpringHill this is my 2nd stay and both times has been amazing. This hotel is very safe although it is right outside the city of Detroit. Majority of the staff has amazing customer service. Now I did experience a little of harassment from the security guard on my 2nd stay the day before check out, but im overlooking the experience with him and I will be back and hopefully I can rate 5 stars instead of 4

Lemon water with cucumbers was so refreshing when walking into the hotel. Clean hotel breakfast was also good.

Rust stains in the bathroom on the ceiling and around the tub. Burn marks on the toilet seat, also when enter the the building water was leaking into a bucket.

Great room. Clean and very comfortable. Near many restaurants and conveniences.

Need some repairs

This was a very nice and up to date hotel. Furnishings were newer, and front counter staff were nice and friendly. I certainly would recommend this place to anyone staying in the Southfield area.

It was easy to arrive from a highway and depart to the highway. The front desk attendant was nice. Still there is some room for improvement. When I checked in for a 3-night stay, the attendant greeted and acknoledged for me being a gold Elite member. He asked if I needed room cleaning daily. I agreed. He noted down my desire for daily room cleaning. When return to my room after a busy workday next day, the room was not attended to. I went ro the front desk and the attendant gave me some clean towel. The when I returned to my room after a busy second work day, the room was still not attended to. I called the front desk and the attendant agreed to deliver some towel, bedsheet and a trash bag to the room, since housekeeping had left for the day. I changed my bedsheet and emptied the trash. This time the attendant mentioned that there was a shortage of help. I hope the issue is fixed soon. I never had this experience at a Marriott hotel in the past.

The room was roomy! Comfortable suite. Small fridge and microwave hidden away. Very clean and modern lines. KS bed comfortable for seniors. We were on the 3rd floor and walked up since our room was on the end. The breakfasts were very Nice. Pool and spa areas were clean and pretty. The carpets near the exit were a bit shabby and could use a good scrubbing but mostly hidden away from the public unless you were on an end room like us. It took the hot water forever to reach our room. The closet door kept falling off the track. We told one of the room cleaners about it but no one ever arrived to fix it. We stayed a week and would come back again without hesitation. Next time we will request a first floor room.

No coffee refills for the bedroom, outlets in bathroom weren’t working. Poor lighting.

Rooms were good. However, the shower needs Hand bars to prevent slipping or falling. The shower soap/body bath wash can leave a film on the floor of the shower & it can become slippery. Handrails can assist in a dangerous fall again the glass doors. When changing linen The comforter should not be put on the floor then applied back on the bed. Dirty shoes are walking on the floor from outside into the room. Please be observant to these suggestions bc Guest do discuss what they see & that goes a long way in choosing your NEXT STAY!!!! Staff were very friendly & accommodating, especially after receiving a parking ticket bc the handicap plaque had fallen. We were able to get it reduced to $20 by going to the Slfd police station & showing plaque.

The hotel room was Clein.The bathroom was clean.The bedding was clean.The breakfast in the morning was good overall a great stay

Pros: very friendly staff, just a twenty minute straight shot downtown by car, make your own waffles for breakfast, lots of parking, good size room Cons: bathroom wasn't nasty, but could have been cleaner, avoid a room by the elevator (20s-30s), it's noisy, our first night the hallway was unacceptably loud with loud people in the middle of the night, had to call the front desk to deal with it, that may have been since it was a long weekend Overall, fine for a short stay if you prefer to stay in the suburbs

Older in some ways, but clean and quite comfortable.

The girl who worked their close the pool and only her kids was allowed in the pool area also they were really loud and security kept knocking on my door her kids was all in the lobby loud and playing

The room did not have hot water was told to run my shower and sink for 2 minutes and it worked

VERY NICE

We booked this at the very last minute when we arrived at the hotel we had reserved and their pool was out of order. We arrived ten minutes later and they had a room ready to go. Loved the sofa area in the room. And the pool/hot tub was great. Breakfast was the best hotel breakfast we'd had in a while and the staff was super friendly. There's not a lot to do in the immediate vicinity but for our purposes it was great. Only complaint was that there wasn't a lot of TV channels (shrug) and we had to hunt for the hair dryer (which we did eventually find).
